They did not finish the job we paid for and we paid almost $30,000 for a water main break repair and they left our property a complete disaster. We have heard every excuse in the book, from them needing three dry days in a row and then they will be at our property to them not having enough man power. We have been told numerous times we will get a call back the next morning and no call. They do not stand by their contract or word. Do not use this company. read more

If I could give a negative number rating I would. My son's mobile home had no water/water pressure. He called The Plumber. A tech came out and gave him an estimate for $4376.50 to install a new hot water tank. He also paid $60 for the call. They told my son the cold water runs through the hot water tank so that was why they had no water. He approached me about this because the rate seemed high. I did some research and went personally to a store/dealer. The unit was $1200. (Most are $600 but he needed a special unit.) The estimate still seemed outrageous to me (over $3000 for labor) so I got a second one. We told them what the "diagnosis" was and he quoted us $2300, almost half of the cost. I called The Plumber at that point and inquired about their estimate. Perhaps they were taking advantage of a young 22-year-old home owner? No, that is their usual quote. I told them that was price gauging and a ridiculous price. After the new unit was installed, the tank wasn't filling up properly, so the tech from the new company went out to investigate. There was a break in the main line under the house. It wasn't even the hot water tank that was the problem. A bad diagnosis that cost TWENTY THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS. We then did more research and talked to more contractors. When my son initially called, they should have known without even looking that there was a problem with the line. No HOT water would indicate a problem with the hot water tank. No water at all or no water pressure would NOT indicate the hot water tank. Yes, some cold water goes through the hot water tank so the water can heat, but that has nothing to do with the main line. I then called back The Plumber. They actually have right on their letterhead "Most people only leave reviews when they're not happy and fail to give the business a chance to make it right. That's just not fair to the business. Please give us a chance." First of all, what does that tell you right there? I told the Plumber I was giving them the chance to make it right. I emailed them the research we had done on what negligence is and what is law suit worthy. I was told I needed to provide documentation from the other company that said what the problem actually was. My invoice from them showed the work that was done but did not go into what happened after the installation. And did not feel comfortable writing a special letter that would affect another business in their field. I absolutely respected that and wouldn't expect them to. We were able to repair the main leak for $50. FIFTY DOLLARS was all it would have cost and we spend $2300 plus the $60 for a bad diagnosis. The Plumber didn't even get back to me. I had to call them and they said without "proof" they would nothing for us. I told them I would be blowing up social media. I couldn't believe they wouldn't even give back the $60 for an erroneous diagnosis. I'm disgusted and disappointed. I've given lots of positive feedback in my life when I am giving good service. I am enraged by this. I'm sure I can't go to small claims court either because I don't have "proof". It's disgusting. I think a call to the Better Business Bureau would also be a good move. read more

For some time I had ignored the shut-off valve which was frozen in place and so, could not be used. So, I called ThePlumber. In response, Plumber, Will, came as scheduled, viewed a few simple plumbing problems and suggested common-sense solutions. Then he inspected the recalcitrant shut-off valve and proposed a couple of ways to approach this valve. I agreed that it should be replaced. Will drove to his office to procure the various tools and materials needed for repair. The repair with copper fittings and a handle shut=off lever was done efficiently and expertly. After, Will asked me to try the lever which was most easy to operate. He then cleaned up any debris from the repair. Update 1/5/23 : Joel is STILL LYING. The Small Claims Court case was dismissed because I was only able to obtain 1 repair estimate, NOT because The Plumber was found to be without fault. And the empty offer of a 250.00 credit is ludicrous because I would never use this company again and he knows it. Are your pants on fire Joel? Take your business elsewhere. The owner refused to accept responsibility for the damage caused to our bathtub during the work we had done. We did everything we could to avoid it, but ended up in court. The owner of this business stood before a judge in Small Claims court this week, under oath, and lied right to her face. There is your example of what kind of person is trying to take your money. Joel has a God complex and believes he's above the law. What kind of business owner refuses to answer a Better Business Bureau complaint and lawyers up for a $900.00 Small Claims case? A dirty one. They sent a plumber over to my house on Grand Island, who damaged the bathroom floor, toilet, and drywall. The plumber on-site took pictures and documented everything. He said he was documenting in his system the damage he caused and would notify his manger. A few days later, two gentlemen from the company came to my house, admitted to the damages, and said they would get them repaired. After a complete lack of communication, and tons of unanswered e-mails, and phone calls not returned, after I hired a contractor to repair the dry wall, they mailed me a check for the damaged dry wall that I had a contractor repair. The owner (I don't recall his name) then sent a buddy of his who stated he was a flooring contractor over to my house. This contractor was rude, unreliable, and impossible to deal with. He also tried to tell me how he was going to repair the damage done to my home (not how it works). So I went and get an estimate at Home Depot for the flooring repair. I submitted the estimate to The Plumber and they said they were going to refuse to repair the damage their plumber did to my home. The management team at this company does not return phone calls, answer or return e-mails, nor have any sense of professionalism. This company was HORRIBLE to deal with and they do not care of their employees damage your home. I will never do business with this company again and I strongly urge no one to ever do business with this company. They do not respect other peoples homes. Update to Joel's comment - he is a liar. The contractor they sent over said he COULD NOT repair the floor because he does not have the same type/material of flooring currently installed. So the floor had to be replaced. I've tried to contact you to discuss the damages for MONTHS! You don't return phone calls or e-mails. I did not ask for anything above and beyond. I asked for the damages to be repaired. If you can't be honest on a simple Yelp review, its no wonder why you can't run a professional and respectful business where the employees respect peoples property. read more

I would give this company zero stars if it was possible. This is the worst experience EVER with a contractor! They're unreliable, constantly cancelling appointments. My original assessment appointment was cancelled literally hours after they schedule it, pushed it out for a week. Another of my appointments was actually cancelled 40 minutes AFTER their scheduled arrival window! This was 6 week battle to get the work done! 12 scheduled appointments only 2 of them they actually showed up for. Kasey, the lady who calls for the e scheduling is an absolute nightmare! She's rude and has no business being in customer service! Don't dare ask her a question, she's raises her voice and puts the blame on her manager, claiming she doesn't have any answers, a level of incompetence that shouldn't be in her field of work. Maybe she should take her anger out on the manager or better yet, have the manager make the calls since she has no straight truthful answers. We now have had our 12th appt cancelled!! They showed up5/24/24 with only half of the parts! Broke my attic stairs and promised to have the part to complete the fix on the AC Wednesday 6/26/24 and promised that the repairs would be completed 6/27/24. Now trying to push the work off onto another company that wants to schedule the repair! I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!! Received yet, another, call from Kasey in the office giving 4, yes you read that correctly, FOUR, different excuse as to why they couldn't finish the work. None of them having to do with them "needing to get approval" to order the wrong size drain pan. Which, the company owner is now saying was "cracked"! Excuse 1. The amount of work, back pedaled with "emergency" which was excuse 2, then started to say that Mike was no longer with the company, REAL quick back pedaled that to "family emergency", so I asked what is it, doesn't want to do the work, terminated/quit, or actual family emergency. She used that excuse with us for multiple other cancellations, SO, if that's the case, send a different tech if that guy is having so many home issues! The owner of the company is just as horrible. I NEVER declined for them to repair the attic stairs that they broke! It is a riveted hinge, NOT A SCREW OR BOLT!! My comment was "I don't know if the hinge is replaceable, the whole ladder will most likely need to be replaced!" Absolutely terrible, untrustworthy company. The fact that they use two different business names should be a cue that maybe they are hiding the negativity that surrounds their business. I was set up with them through my warranty company. They canceled my first appointment 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive (I had taken off work) claiming a plumbing emergency. Rather than reschedule asap due to the inconvenience they caused, they scheduled me out another couple weeks. Yet again, morning of the appointment (took off work again!) they called claiming a death in the family and canceled. Without further regard to my inconvenience, they scheduled another couple weeks out. SHOCKINGLY, three days before the appointment they canceled claiming they were ending their relationship with the warranty company. I called the warranty company, they denied this. Needless to say, this is not a company that conducts itself with any sense of professionalism. I'm glad they did not end up doing any work in my house; clearly they cannot be trusted. read more

I've used The Plumber about 4 times since October 2019. The plumber himself is very good and professional and I've never had trouble getting them over to my home. So the first 3 visits were good experiences. This last visit in March 2020... not so good. My bathroom faucet broke. I made an appointment for the The Plumber to come over. I went to work. My son was home. The plumber couldn't repair the old faucet. A new one was needed. The cost was just over a $1000.00. For a bathroom faucet and installation. Later, I did a quick search online and found the exact bathroom sink faucet for under $200. Ridiculous mark up! I did give the go ahead to complete the work so that's on me. I originally hired this company a year ago to fix a broken pipe that had been destroyed by tree roots. They told me (and the invoice specifically said) that the pipe had been fixed to the main sewer. I've had the same backup issue twice now since that repair- turns out they stopped almost 8 feet short, didn't connect the pipes correctly, and still haven't come back to do the reconstruction service (there's literally broken pieces of pipe still in my yard). I've been calling for six months about this, and I keep getting the blow off answer "We'll email the info to the main office". Our basement flooded and it was very bad. We requested service for two different issues. One being the water heater and the other being the stoppage issue. They wanted to replace out water heater and the price was outrageous! We found another plumber to replace this for $1,000 less than the prices quoted! After we did not go with them for the water heater replacement, they cancelled the second service for the stoppage, even though we now paid two times for two different service calls! They rescheduled for a week away. The morning of service, they called AGAIN to cancel stating we would have to wait an additional week! In the mean time, our basement is flooding with every rain!! Our first experience with 'The Plumber' was 3 years ago when we had a backup of the storm sewer into our basement. It was a Sunday night and they sent someone right out to clear it. The same thing happened more recently and again they came out promptly. Our latest issue was a clogged sewer line that goes beneath the basement floor. We had nightmare visions of having to dig up the basement floor because the sewer line pipe was rotted. They allayed our fears with an alternative line. Brian did a professional job, is friendly and has a delightful sense of humor. This Company did absolutely outstanding work at a moderately reasonable to average price. Out of seven places that gave quotes, they were the lowest in cost by far. Service was fast, friendly, courteous, and superb without a doubt! We had a water heater expansion tank replaced, a complete under kitchen sink pipeline replacement, and water lines replaced in the bathroom. My wife called The Plumber out of desperation on a Saturday night. We had a basement full of sewage after two other plumbing companies failed to diagnose a drain backup problem. The Plumber sent someone on Sunday with no weekend or emergency fee. The gentleman was on time and worked for 3 hours to diagnose and provide a short term solution to our issue with no additional cost over the initial estimate. After diagnosing that we needed a new trap and vent in our front yard, they scheduled me for the following week Friday and even deducted the price of the previous visit off the new estimate. The crew was once again on time and professional from start to finish. They made sure I understood the work they were doing and after digging they found an additional sewer pipe cracked which they replaced at no additional charge! I am so thankful my wife happened to call The Plumber. They were honest and thorough from the first time we called until the job was done. DO NOT USE! My home warrany company sent them out, so I cant comment on prices. However, he did not fix Hot water tank properly. He replaced the dip tub. After he replaced, he turned the flame one notch up right below the hottest setting! He never told me, which resulted in me burning my hands while washing dishes with SCALDING HOT WATER. I dont know what his reason was for doing this. The only thing I can think of he could "fool" me into thinking it was fixed. Little did he know when that scalding hot water becomes luke warm while filling a 1/4 of a bathtub, I would find out. He should have replaced the tank. Why would he not? The tank is 25 yrs old!!! I'm sure he charged my insurance company a pretty price for a part that Was not needed! I am beyond upset and so are my scalded hands! read more

Do not use. My warranty company sent them over. They came in November, said they would send in a proposal. They came back in December and did the same (inspected, took a video). They said they would submit to my warranty company, they would take care of it, I would not have to do any thing. By February I still have not heard anything. I called them, customer service, did not know anything, I was told to call back the next day. I called back the next day, they did not know anything, I was told to call my warranty company. My warranty company did not know anything, after many calls, turns out The Plumber never sent anything into them. After several more calls, my warranty company said The Plumber was in the process of writing the bid and it would be in the next day. I call the warranty company a couple of days later and I was told The Plumber was not going to send in a proposal, because even though I have a break in the sewer line I do not currently have a back-up.
