Usually I love Morty's and I love all the interactions and the food, but today I was a little irked. I ordered, they brought me my burrito in good time. At first I figured-- okay they'll bring the delicious fries out in a minute, they must've not been done. About ten minutes pass and I mention to my boyfriend that it's really taking some time, so he goes to ask about them for me and the young man running the register acknowledged him and apologized so I figured they'd be working on the fries then. Another ten minutes pass and I go to ask if they're working on my fries (I've worked fast food, I know 20 minutes is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for fries) and the older guy (the cashier guy being missing at this point) in the kitchen was like "oh I thought the other guy was getting them out to you. Lemme work on it for you" and I feel a bit better about the wait cause I hear the fryers working moments after. So I'm waiting at the counter and still worrying cause it was reaching the time you'd expect fries to be done and I see the girl working bring fries to another order and that was the line. You'd think first come, first served, right? I go and see that they've got nothing prepared for me and are just lounging around talking and messing around in the kitchen. So I tell the older one "I'll take my fries to go" and he turns away to make a snobby face about me to the girl there. I get my fries with a half-hearted "sorry it took so long" and left with the suspicion they were trying to jip me of my fries! Wish I hadn't left a tip on this occasion cause I was unimpressed with how unprofessional and ridiculous this visit was. Every other time-- great job guys, I really do love the vibe and the food. The food was good but the place is very dirty. The back of the chairs are black with grease and the tables were all dirty. It looks like they haven't cleaned in forever. People are walking between the tables to get to the apartments, one guy came out and sits he's garbage bag from his apartment in the dining area then turns around and goes back in his unit. First off, Logan needs more places like this, that embrace modern cooking and aren't afraid of flavor. That being said, Morty's burgers are fresh and taste good. For a 'gourmet' burger they're a little light for the price. And flavors could be more imaginative. Considering that, price could include fries or be lowered some. But I do enjoy that crispy, caramelized sear they do on their burger patties. Plus all of the sides here are very tasty..the beer-battered fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and scone fries, I dig 'em all. But there are other issues...they need a busser, to clean tables and empty their trash. Tables are always dirty and trash often overflowing. And if you already have a busser, keep them in the dining room. Also, parking can be a nightmare, which is nothing new near USU. And the main dining room is too small, meaning in winter you're often waiting for a table at lunch. Also, orders get screwed up too often. It can be frustrating if you're on lunch and pressed for time. Lastly, the workers could be friendlier. Smile more :) Overall, it's good, but has potential to be better. Be bolder, more daring, give us more value, more substance, tweak a few things, and you've got yourselves a real winner. Ps..a cold draft beer goes great with a burger and fries. I had the turkey, bacon, ranch sandwich with avacado added to it. They use shredded turkey rather than deli meat. The sandwich was kind of messy to eat but totally worth it. The fries are very good. I look forward to trying a burger next time because my husband really enjoyed his. read more

Amazing food. Something for everyone. My favorite is the Turkey Bacon Ranch Sandwich, and if you're going to skip the fries, you might as well skip Morty's. (May I recommend the scone fries and sweet potato fries while you're at it.) It's so close to campus, reasonably priced, great variety, it's wonderful. The only problem is the wait. They make everything fresh and to order, and it always tastes great, but I've been the only person in the place, and waited 15 minutes for fries. Worth the trip every time. read more

After waiting nearly 45 minutes to get our food, we were asked to leave the upstairs because they wanted to close that location for seating, even though there was no other seating available on the main level. I've been to Morty's quite a few times. I love the food! It's also pretty fairly priced. The Kimchi Burger is one of my favorites. The fries and onion rings are amazing as well. It's also very convenient that it's so close to campus. The Blue Square location is closer to my apartment. The biggest problem I have with Morty's is that it always takes forever to get my food. I seriously wait an average of 20 minutes after I order almost every single time I go. If you have time or something to do (like homework) while you wait then Morty's is great. But not good if you're looking for something quick. read more

I just moved to logan for college and one of the first meals I got was at Morty's cafe. I love veggie burgers and got really excited when I say they had them so I came in the afternoon and order their 3 bean burger, fries and a drink. That was the best burger I've had. The flavors were all outstanding and present. The fries were crispy and flaky on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Just absolute perfection. Burger was overcooked and dry. Wife's chicken was OK. Bun fell apart while trying to eat it. Tables were dirty - the restaurant was busy as we arrived. We ordered sweet potato fries but they gave use regular fries. They happily gave us our order of sweet potato fries. The plates used to hold the burgers and fries are aluminum. Metal sucks the heat away from the food on winter nights. The fries quickly lost their heat. Burgers were fine but were on their way to being cold. Great selection of burgers - can be replace with chicken or veggie burger. A big plus. read more

I used to love this place, however the last several times I have been here have not been good. My salad was wilted and I ended up throwing half away it was so bad. My son's Buddha burger was burned and a previous order they forgot my salad altogether (which was my main meal) and the fries were burned. Went to Mortys this morning and ordered a burger. After taking my order, the girl at the counter flips the iPad and watches as I enter "no tip"; she immediately starts staring daggers. When I got home, I opened my burger to see that it was ridiculously undercooked. I ate it anyway, thinking that it was probably fine and that I was too hungry to worry about something so trivial. Boy, was it not trivial. Later today I felt my soul leave my body on the toilet, and then felt it slam back into my mortal vessel as the spasms from my body performed self CPR, pulling me back from the great beyond. Now, obviously this was the result of the burger. The real tragedy, besides the utter destruction of my anus, is that the serving staff felt the need to exact revenge on me in this way because they are clearly not payed enough if they are forced to ask for tips after the barest resemblance towards table service. I do not believe I should have to tip someone that did not wait on me, especially as a poor college student; clearly, Morty's doesn't care about the welfare of its student employees if they are incentivized to demand tips from an equally poor customer base with a tiny likelihood of being able to tip properly. Fix your shit, Morty's, so that your employees don't give their customers the shits. read more

My husband and I ran 14 miles on Saturday morning and were craving burgers after for lunch. We pulled out of our driveway with intentions of going to five guys but remembered we had both been wanting to try Morty's so we headed there instead. We are SO GLAD we did! I ordered the Iconic (no red onion) with fries and he ordered one of the spicy burgers with onion rings. We both loved our meals. The fries are battered and crispy on the outside but still fluffy on the inside. The only thing I was missing on my burger was mustard (because I love it more than the average person) which apparently doesn't come on standard, just some house sauce which I assumed was a mayo and ketchup mix (not sure, don't quote me on that). The pickles were really good. Maybe I'm buying crappy pickles at home or I was just super hungry after my long run because they were extra delicious. The bun is fluffy and soft but still holds up to the burger without getting soggy or disintegrating. We sat on the second level of patio and really enjoyed it. What a great addition to Logan. Overall, we will definitely return. If only to try the beautiful huge cookies on display at the register! read more

Food truck review- Bad service. Good food. Waited in line to order at the Utah State game for a good 20+ minutes. Once we order they tell us no cards only tickets but there was no indication anywhere in line that this was the case. Simply having a little bit of customer obsession would have prevented this. Came with my 3 teens on a Friday night. Burgers, fries, onion rings, and freestyle machine were truly great! Ambiance and access to the upper decks is a little weird. Service not very accommodating. When I asked for a burger less than a third pound they told me "No" unless it was a kids meal...And I had to be under 12 years old in order to order it. read more

Honestly I think Morty's has awesome food! But our last time going there (6/24/22) we were super excited to take our friends from out of town there to eat. It was a huge let down. First-- the staff was not friendly or happy to be there and quite frankly they all seemed pretty unpleasant. Second--not one person ever changed their gloves. They would help people at the register with oily gloves, clean the floor, touch the dustpan, etc. without changing their gloves or sanitizing in any fashion and then go right back to making someone's sandwich. Third--the air conditioning must have been broken. Fourth--the ice machine wasn't working. Fifth--the tables were filthy and they were even out of toilet paper in the bathrooms. I could keep going but I think you get the point. This place has the opportunity to be the best burger joint in the valley but DAMN--you have got to train your staff to give a shit about sanitization and customer service. One of our friends even got food poisoning from this particular visit. so bummed. read more

The burgers were good, the shakes were 5 star, we got raspberry and asked for chocolate fudge in it and had the peanut butter shake, both fantastic. Also had the Iberian and the Yucatan. I tried the kimchi burger because I have many Korean friends who love kimchi, and the burger was sooooo good. I'd like to try their other burgers, and the shakes and sweet potato fries look good too. Hands down my default "I dunno, where do you wanna go?" place to eat. I am fairly confident in saying you won't find any better fries in the valley! The burgers are super tasty too. I have had a handful of the many different burgers they offer and have yet to be disappointed. I'm not sure what they do to the burgers, but man they're good. The fries are bettered and toasted (?) and sprinkled with coarse salt. So good! I've been told by others that they weren't that impressed and that the price is a bit high. I have to disagree. One of the best burgers I've ever had and I'm from the Bay Area! Delicious and hearty black angus beef and fresh ingredients make this place stand out. Has a variety of unique burger options like the Hawaiian or the Italian. My favorite is the Yucatán which comes with jalapeños, bacon and avocados. Soooo good. Not to mention their fries are probably the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. If you're ever in Logan, you MUST give this place a try. My only complaint is that it's a little pricey. Overall an excellent establishment. read more

Ordered ahead to avoid a wait. Food was ready when we got there, but it took them 40 min to make two shakes. While we watched, the guy making them kept touching his mask, answering the phone and touching the register with his gloves on, then went right back to making the shakes without changing gloves. Two bad experiences now. A few weeks ago, I brought a bunch of friends and family from out of town to Morty's thinking it was a safe go-to that everyone would like. We had about 15 people there. No exaggeration, it took the first order 45 minutes to get their food and the last person got their food 1 HOUR after that. Nearly 2 hours before the entire party got their food. To top it off, the burgers were undercooked, the second and third floor dining areas were literally TRASHED. Spiders, spilled drinks, overflowing garbage cans, it was a mess. Then I figured I would give them another shot at the Huntsman tailgate last weekend. Waited another 30 minutes (ok, it was a food truck so.... fine) but you'd think 30 minutes would be enough time to cook the dang burger... Please see the posted photo. Yeah. I decided to give Morty's another try, only to be severely disappointed. #pinkburger. I walked in last Friday evening with my SO. We ordered an Italiano, and a Yucatan burger, along with a small shake. It rang up to about $20 bucks. Are you kidding me! Is this Chili's? No. Because you would receive more than 2 burgers and a small shake for 20 bucks at Chili's. We got our number. Number 4. We waited about 10 minutes and our peanut butter shake came out. We slowly started eating it while waiting for our burgers because it began to melt. It was an amazing shake.... However we were forced to eat it before our burgers came out 17 minutes later!! By the time I got the burger my appetite was mostly gone with my ice cream. #yolo # dessertfirst. I finally received my burger. I started eating it, and I'll I got were mouth fulls of undercooked pink hamburger. By this time I was late, already waited almost a half hour for my burger, and decided to just leave to make the concert late #betterlatethannever. Blah! Now Morty's, I for one believe that mistakes can be made, and it was probably just my burger and experience; but.... also, I leave this review to allow you to step up your game by providing more efficient customer service, more reasonably priced food, and correctly cooked burgers #correctthis. Heard all the hype about the new burger place near campus, so we decided to give it a try. For the price, I think I wanted to get a more substantial burger. I didn't get a nice meaty flavor either. There was nothing special about the rest of the burger or fries either--it was all just ok. They did let me switch up sauces and cheeses but most other places allow that. Service was fine, if a bit impersonal. Given the upper midrange prices, I'd rather get fast food. read more

Came here after a long day needing some good food and relaxation. I got just that. I ordered the Yucatán burger, which comes with avocado, chipotle mayo, red onions, lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, and pepper jack cheese. I added bacon. The burger had amazing flavor, even the patty itself would've tasted good. I will ask for light sauce in the future because I was a bit overwhelmed by it. The cost with added bacon was around eight dollars. They were doing a special the night I went: free fries with your burger. An added bonus because I was already planning on getting their crispy seasoned fries. I got aoli sauce on the side for my fries. The garlic flavor in the sauce was good, but there was still an overall bitterness that was too strong for me so I didn't end up using a lot of it. They also had delicious looking shakes and a wide variety of beverages to choose from. There are three levels to this restaurant. I had on the top level which is completely open and has great views of the Wellsville mountains. The service was also very friendly and even though there was a line when I ordered my food came quickly. read more

Just stopped in here for a late lunch. Tried the October special burger - the Mortician. Let's just say I'm not planning on eating again anytime soon. If you plan on eating this burger, practice unhingeing your jaw like a snake so that you have a chance of getting your mouth around this burger. Also tried the onion rings. They appeared to be cooked fresh. Nice hot, crunchy onion goodness. As others have said, they have some unique combinations, but if you want something a little different this is a nice place to go. read more
