We have been to this restaurant a few times and have never had a bad meal. The ambiance is just really nice. Service is great and they check on you frequently. Bread sticks are made from scratch served with an oil and vinegar dip. Last time I was there I ordered the Alfredo it was amazing, the sauce is made daily from scratch. They first wanted to seat us under a heater blowing air that was around 85 degrees it's not that cold outside to warrant blasting air at patrons that hot. The table we were sat at wobbled and the chair had upholstery that has probably never been cleaned. The chair felt like it was going to break at any second. The whole place looked grimey and dingy. The decor was sad looking and very dated. The breadsticks were good, the shrimp was good, but there was so much liquid on my plate. The angel hair pasta was grossly overcooked and tasteless. It was mushy. My husband said the jambalaya was nice and spicy. You only get 1 refill on a soda and you have to ask for it. The side salads were tiny for how much they charge. First time at Callaway's. We went about 6:30. Not real busy and we were seated promptly and taken very good care of by our server. The atmosphere was interesting. Not the dark, high end feel like Olive Garden, which I was OK with. It appears to be a converted mechanics garage, as there were some garage memorabilia on the walls, as well as Italian posters, etc. It was clean and upbeat. And an enjoyable experience. There are two distinct seating areas and a bar, apparently. We didn't hit the bar side... Our server, Audrey, was fantastic. She had to come back a couple of times before we finally ordered as there were so many options, we had a hard time deciding. My wife had the gluten free pasta with Alfredo sauce and was very pleased with it, though it could have had a little more sauce..;) But it was very tasty, especially since it was gluten free. Not always an easy task. I had the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich which was very delicious. As well as the parmesan fries. I was a little hesitant to go that direction because I'm not a parmesan fan, but I really loved them. Audrey made sure our water and drinks were topped off as often as we wanted and continued to check on us throughout our meal. Everyone at the restaurant appeared to be having a good time and enjoying themselves. A little pricy. Four of us paid $94.00 before tip, but sadly that is becoming the norm anymore if you want a decent meal out. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

Hmm, I am surprised I didn't love this as much as I hoped! Apparently it's the best Italian in Cache Valley, and even though it was good I didn't think it was anything to write home about. Bob's Salad was actually the best of everything we tried! We also had a margarita pizza, a little too doughy, and fettuccine alfredo, which needed more seasoning/flavor. It's difficult for me to pay $15 for pasta when it's nothing fancy... The service was great though! Cozy atmosphere, clean, you know everything else that's necessary for a nice experience. Man - I have been coming here for a decade plus and never reviewed it! How? This is a true gem. I have to give the first honorable mention to the green goddess dressing in the salad. Balanced tart and robust like the rug in the Big Lebowski it really pulls things together. Also, breadsticks. Wow. Worth the wait to just pound round after round of those little joy sticks. But, (most) everything else is truly phenomenal. Pasta, pizza, sammies, everything is so darn delicious. I highly (like, highly) recommend the mediterran pizza (or pasta). A really, really cool place with eclectic decoration that works, friendly staff, and a decent bar selection (like, a Utah restaurant bar - you have to order food at your table). Oh! Ordered their salmon tonight and without a doubt it was the worst salmon I have ever been served, dry, over cooked and waited far too long to be served our order. From the outside, it looks like a rustic roadhouse. But the menu looks like it wants to be a straightforward Italian American restaurant, with a few comfort food and Asia(!) classics thrown it. And it has a decent craft beer selection for Utah. So while this place suffers from a bit of an identity crisis, in an odd way, it works. Memorable little place. Food is solid, not very remarkable, but good. Service is attentive and prompt. Prices are a bit on the high side for what you get in this part of the country. If they would let me give it 3/5 stars, I would, but I'll round up to 4. read more

I've heard so much about this place, but it didn't really hit the spot! We did call ahead to get a table and they appreciated that. When we got there our table had our name on it and it was all set up, so that was nice! Their hours are 4:30-9 ish- so, make sure you check their website before or call ahead. I didn't know it was just a dinner place. Like I said, I've heard good things about it, but I didn't fall in love with it. We got the Bobs salad, Margarita pizza, Alfredo pasta, and unlimited breadsticks. The balsamic dressing for the breadsticks were probs my favorite. I really didn't love this place. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I wouldn't go back based on what I ate, but I would go back and order something different. I have heard that the pasta dishes are delicious. I ordered the chicken ranch sandwich and wasn't impressed at all. It was so toasted that it was too crunchy and I could hardly bite it. I couldn't taste ranch at all in it. I didn't finish it and didn't take it home. The side of fries was interesting. I didn't like them too much and I LOVE fries. Everything I see was disappointing including the breadsticks. They were just ok. Service was slow. Everytime I wanted my drink refilled I had to ask. Undeniably, THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN UTAH. I'm really confused by any rating less than five stars. I drive over an hour, 65 miles, just to eat at this restaurant. I've eaten here four times in the last five months. Nothing but consistent, extraordinary food quality and service. My favorite dish is the green chili bow tie pasta with carrot cake for dessert. The best carrot cake ever. The carrot cake is huge. I have to take it to go because I can't finish it. I love the green chili pasta so much, I always order one to go. Unbelievably delicious. On a mission to find a good Italian restaurant. Haven't found one in the 23 mon we've been here and it was about to become ugly if we couldn't satisfy our craving. :) Found this bistro through Yelp (of course). Arrived at opening time - 4:30P on a Saturday. Had to wait on a hostess - no bell to ring. Seated in back room with vintage and eye appealing décor. Waiter was nice, polite, prompt. Beers arrived before water, as did the breadsticks, with their homemade green goddess dressing and a balsamic vinegar & oil dip. Both dips were fantastic! Breadsticks were good, though second round (unrequested though not turned away) could have spent a couple of additional minutes in the oven. We had the clam chowder and the house salad with balsamic vinegar as our beginning dishes to our entrees. Both good, average. Forgot to order calamari but was able to order and it arrived at the same time as our meals. Calamari rings were the best I've ever had, though tentacle pieces were overcooked. Husband's chicken Marsala needed something - just a touch lacking in flavor - and chicken was breaded and a bit overcooked. (Next time we order chicken here, we'll order grilled.) My linguine Puttanesca, add Italian sausage, was too spicy for either of us, and we lived 16 yrs in Texas. Linguine was cooked perfectly. Tried leftovers at home adding marinara and still just too spicy. Wanted dessert but opted for a take & bake pizza for the next day. Ordered Bob's Other Special, medium. It took a few minutes but was beautiful when delivered. That is, until we discovered the next day it wasn't Bob's Other Special, which has Gorgonzola and spinach, but rather Bob's Special, which is loaded in meat. We should have examined closer before leaving the restaurant. Ate 1/4 of the pizza and discarded the balance - LOTS of meat if that's your thing. Callaway's is about 35 miles from our house, and we will return, it may just take a minute. read more

Terrible service. We waited an hour and a half for food. An hour just for the salad and water. Terrible. Felt like we were in restaurant jail. I will never go there again. Food arrived well after closing and was warm at best. Very disappointed. This was a birthday dinner celebration. And it was just terrible. No apologies at all from the server. I have mixed feelings about Callaway's. Over the years I've had a few instances of downright rude service from one server in particular whom I won't name. My parents used to be regulars, but now avoid Callaway's because of a similar incident. That being said, the good experiences do outweigh the bad. And the food is good enough that I'll tolerate one belligerent server. Everything is tasty here. Best pastas in the valley. And their classically styled pizzas are excellent as well, with an abundance of toppings and a smoky, wonderfully chewy crust. Bread sticks are always hot and downright addictive. Dining area is old-timey and comfortable. Everything is kept clean as a whistle. They also have a healthy beer, wine and cocktail list for us gentiles...and I've noticed lately that it's bringing in more of a crowd that appreciates a stiff drink. In summary, I remain a regular regardless of one problem server. Their food is worth it. They really deserve 3 stars for keeping a worker like her serving here so long. Callaway's is an enigma wrapped in a noodle. An Italian restaurant with an Irish name that serves pot stickers. Huh? Hello, identity crisis! Kelli was our server, and she was great. The breadsticks are awesome and she kept them coming. Their pizza is pretty good-I had pepperoni and Italian sausage. My daughter got the penne pesto, and it was really quite tasty. They just need to narrow down their gargantuan menu and concentrate on their awesome Italian food. We also had to wait at the front station for 5 minutes before we even saw anybody. Kinda weird. I was referred to Callaway's by a friend. I went there with my girlfriend. It took a while to be seated which I don't blame them entirely for it since I know they have to clean and sanitize tables. Our waitress was nice, but she disappeared for most of the time and left us without refills for our drinks. We also asked for ranch when we ordered our food and the ranch never showed up. Another waitress came by and asked us if we wanted more breadsticks. When she came back with them she just kind of tossed them on the table. I left a generous tip because I get we all have bad days. I also think if being nice, happy, and polite is part of your job you at least have to fake it. The food was good though we ordered a calzone which was decent and a pizza which was amazing. Props to the kitchen. I'll go again to get the food but I can't say I'll leave a great tip if we get the same service read more

This place is soooo good. If I lived in the area I would eat here all the time. I got the seafood pasta which was amazing. Prob best I have ever had, and portion was huge. My friend got the Alfredo chicken and also loved it. The beer selection is diverse, lots if options and super cheap! I got the garden salad with it and I'm glad I did, the ranch was bomb. I'm ranch picky :) The staff was also extremely friendly, and service was fast. 2 huge pasta entrees, a salad, bread sticks and beers later our total was 44$! Insane deal. We also ended up stranded here as they were closing because there were no Uber's available (really? Cmon Logan). The owner offered us a ride back to our hotel in Logan! So sweet.
