It's a diner. Connected to a bowling alley. In rural Utah. It's pretty much what you'd expect. Food's ok. Maybe even good. Service is fine. They're open till 9 and just off the interstate. I had an open faced pulled pork sandwich with mashed potatoes and pork gravy. My partner had pulled pork nachos. Both were good, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Cheaper than fast food these days but with table service rather than eating in the car. If you're in the area you could certainly do worse. Worth a stop, probably. read more

Wow, what an absolute gem in Fremonton! My partner's extended family took us here while we were up for a visit and holy moly I'm gonna have to drag my folks up here now too, haha! The atmosphere is a bit on the old fashioned and basic side but that generally proves to be a sign that the food is going to be extra good. The service was fabulous, the waitresses were so nice and attentive and friendly. But the food was the highlight for sure. I ordered the homemade country fried steak, and overall it was solid. Good white country gravy, the steak was a little rubbery for how I like it but the flavor and the breading was delicious. The loaded potato with pulled pork and the sidewinder fries were to DIE for. The mozzarella sticks were probably the best I've had to date and the garlic bread sticks were just as good. If you're up in the area, please give this local spot a try! This rather unassuming location is attached to a bowling alley. If I lived here or I was staying longer than about 12 hours I would definitely have wanted to play. Ha Ha We arrived in Tremonton about 30 minutes before 8 and were having a bit of a time finding a place (besides fast food) that didn't close at 8. Then we found the Grille on here. It was not far from the place we were staying and it had enough parking that we could drive the semi over there. We found easy parking and walked in. Diner meets family service restaurant. It was clean and PACKED. We couldn't get a booth so we found a table. The menu is vast -- and it could have been that I was very hungry -- but there were many things I wanted to try. We decided to try the homemade cheese sticks with marinara. Marinara was not homemade but okay -- the cheese sticks, however, were fabulous! Definitely a get again item. The Chicken Fried Chicken was great. The gravy is a basic cream sauce -- could use a bit more seasoning but I don't think it matters. Then I had broccoli which was fabulous and a salad which was awesome. The dressings aren't homemade either but they were good. My boyfriend had pulled pork salad and it was a generous portion of pork on a large sized salad. Overall we enjoyed both very much. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. The Grille Restaurant is a Tremonton staple-a place that all the locals know and a place that the high school teens come for their Homecoming dinner. Yes, I know this firsthand because I got to dine adjacent to a group of dressed up, mannerful youngsters heading to the dance. On a Saturday night, it was hopping but they did a good job keeping up with everyone and turning the tables quickly. I enjoyed my chicken sandwich and tots (TOTS!) while my dining partner was happy with her chicken and broccoli. Can't say enough good things about this place! First time eating here and their food and service was amazing. Seat yourself when you come in. We had Cesar chicken salad, smoked tangy wings w a bake potato and brisket chili beans. Potato was not hot. Salad was a lot of packaged "grilled" chicken cheese. So...really mixed bag on the food and service As we entered, there was a young lady washing the windows. She did not greet us. I went to the hostess station and ask the same young lady if there was a menu I could see. She told us to be seated and the waitress would bring us menus. (At this point I almost walked out, because what if there was nothing on the menu I would eat - highly unlikely, but I've never eaten in a sit down bowling alley.) I found a menu on the stand and was reading it, which caused me to receive the instructions AGAIN to sit down and the menus would be brought & I would be served. Thankfully Bailee A. was attentive and willing to give us her opinion if she knew about the items we asked, and honestly said if she had not tried something. We opted for the Smoked Meatloaf Dinner and the Country Fried Steak dinner, baked beans, smoked brisket chili, mashed potatoes & homemade coleslaw (JUST made). All was good and edible, and I ordered another coleslaw to-go for a friend who doesn't like mayonnaise based coleslaw (it was that good!), until we got to the smoked meatloaf. We tried, but I think we each took one bite and got it to go. Once home, we opened it, and it was such a strong smoke smell, we pitched it. Went here on the recommendation of the hotel as we were passing through. Looked promising from the line waiting to check in. We went in on a Friday night and it was prime rib night. We didnt want prime rib, ordered a hamburger and a grilled chicken sandwich. Then we waited and waited and waited. 45 minutes later, after watching countless people get served, eat and leave, and being informed that our order was waiting for 'fries' or was 'up next', we asked to get it to go. Solid. Maybe the best place or only place in Tremonton to grab a beer and some grub. Oh and it's connect to a bowling alley. So I didn't hit the alley ala Ernie McCracken, but I did have a chesesteak and some sidewinder fries. The sandwich was good, it just could of used a couple more ounces of meat. The sidewinder fries are sort of like a cross between steak fries and curley fries. They were ok. My co worker had one of their signature burgers with fresh cut fries. The burger looked amazing. Nice size patty and good crust from the griddle. So the one negative was the wait time for the food. The place was fairly busy and I only think there were two servers. It's a chill atmosphere, with a bowling alley just behind the restaurant you can access the blowing ally though the hallway leading though the bathroom. Honestly, I would avoid this place if you don't want to catch a disease....That being said, the food was absolutely awful, my girlfriend and I waited over 45 minutes for our meal, during that time we witnessed dozens of covid-19 restriction violations, but also standard health violations. First, there were waitresses not wearing masks, the manager was not wearing a mask, the cooks whom are handing the food you put in your body were not wearing masks during a global pandemic. Second, the waitress' were not wearing gloves, there were no disposable menus, or single serve condiment containers (as required by the Utah state mandate). Third, masks were not enforced in the slightest, groups of people were entering the building all not wearing masks, were then not turned away, but seated without issue or request for a mask. Aside from all the health violations, the food was almost inedible, my girlfriend ordered the classic cheeseburger, with a veggie patty and added avocado. The patty was burnt worse than Anakin Skywalker after he was tossed in lava and turned to charcoal. For the added avocado, they gave her not even a sliver of a small avocado for a dollar extra. Her burger was supposed to come with lettuce, Mayo and pickles, but it was presented in the following order; bun, cheese, charcoal patty, micro avocado, bun. Wretched. And for my order (as pictured below) was a pulled pork burger, it was beyond dry, with no condiments (I added bbq sauce and that was the only thing I could taste because it was flavorless). All that was on the my burger was super dry unseasoned or marinated pulled pork, then a horribly dry flavorless beef patty. Who mixes red meats? Just plain strange. In conclusion, yea just don't eat here, it sucks. The beer was cheap and they comped our meal, which we are grateful for, but that's about the only positive. The numerous health violations vastly outweighs any type of comp they would have been able to give us. read more

This place was packed with local ranchers when I stopped for dinner. Seems like it is the best place around for traditional American food. I wrestled with choosing between the smoked prime rib and the smoked meatloaf. Starving, I went for the former. It came with a generous mound of steamed broccoli, potato and a really good roll with lots of butter. The rib was cooked just right, lightly smoked. Oh, the garden salad that came with the meal was actually pretty good. Service was great- attentive, but she didn't bug me. I was a member of the Clean Plate Club on this occasion. This place is one of our absolute favorites! They have the best Mozz sticks I've ever had, seriously. The Tangy Wings are fantastic, the Cabo Chicken sandwich and pizza are also great (crispy). After a long day of traveling and having 3 meals on the road it was the worst meal of the day. The waitress was very friendly and why they got 2 stars instead of 1, as i do with all barbecue places. I asked her if the ribs were tender and she said she did not know. I tried them anyways and they were not! The mashed potatoes were so chunky with huge portions of non mashed potatoes,. My wife had the prime rib and it came out like a blind person cut it, 1/4" thick some places and 1/2" thick others. She asked for medium and came out well done. I told the waitress our problems and she asked if we wanted something else and we said no and just took it to the camp ground we were staying at and fed it to our dogs.
