My husband and I were celebrating buying a house and our first wedding anniversary and decided to dine at Morton's because we had a gift card. The hostess was so friendly, immediately took care of parking validation, and even took a picture of us. We were pleasantly surprised to see the table was decorated when we were seated. We decided to do the February 3-course special and asked our server if we were able to combine it with our gift card and the demeanor felt like it shifted when we mentioned the gift card. The food was amazing so no complaints there. However, the wrong cut of steak was delivered (we couldn't tell the difference) and we were up-charged but it was removed from the bill after a conversation. When we went to pay with the gift card, we were told it didn't work and felt rushed to pay and leave while we were figuring out the problem (it ended up working). The manager left her business card with us while we were figuring it out in case we needed help. Overall, the food was great but we kinda felt "less than" and that didn't make us feel great given the amount we spent and for such a big celebration. read more

After a disappointing experience at Morton's last week, I shared a review about what happened. Their team reached out quickly to make things right, and I truly appreciated the prompt follow-up and genuine effort to resolve the situation. The front-of-house manager, Laura, kindly invited us back for bubbles and bites--and this is exactly the level of hospitality I had hoped for. From the moment we arrived, Laura was welcoming and compassionate. We were seated right away, and David took excellent care of us at the bar. This visit was a complete turnaround--zero complaints. We enjoyed the chicken and burger sliders as part of the Veuve Clicquot promotion, and both were delicious. We also decided to try the ribeye steak along with the smoked gouda and bacon au gratin potatoes--everything was fantastic. I loved my raspberry apple martini and a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne as well. This was a much better dining experience all around. I'd recommend visiting during the week if possible, as the bar area was far less crowded than on the previous Friday we went. Morton's, what is going on here? My experience with Morton's goes back 13 years. I loved the Hartford, CT location in the heart of the city on 30 State House Square. It was so good. I loved the service and the food. I think it reminded me of an old Italian mob restaurant with bow tie servers and everything. I didn't know that location closed a year later in 2014. Shame. They were so good. There is no way this Atlanta location is the same chain. My friend that lived in CT, knows how much I loved that Morton's and thought of me when she saw on Instagram they were heavily promoting a special for January. Influencers were heavily promoting this special with Veuve Clicquot, which is one of my favorite champagnes, an adult happy meal for $29. That was an amazing deal. They promoted it showing juicy sliders chicken or beef, garlic fries, and champagne or a martini with the signature yellow label packaging. The food was nothing like they advertised. We got ZERO packaging, which in my opinion, if you don't have it all don't sell it. When we ordered it they did not mention they had no packaging. I can get FRIES AND A BURGER/CHICKEN SANDWICH from Chic-Fil-A! More convenient, and way cheaper. We are here for all the things. Instead, we got trash. Not only was it not presented as advertised, which is why we came in the first place, the food was horrible! I am beyond shocked. I had the chicken sliders. Listen, I don't know if it was undercooked/ overcooked, but it was hard. The buns were hard like stale, and the taste was forgettable. For this special, you were required to sit at the bar. The bar was full but the restaurant was not at all. Meaning, the kitchen should not be busy. They should be making these tiny meals fresh. Why were the fries cold? String fries get cold fast, however, it was all cold. Normally, I would send them back, and I wish I sent the entire meal back the more I think about it, but I was ready to go. I only ate some of the fries, and picked around the two sliders. They were horrible. To compensate for my hunger and unsatisfactory Veuve Clicquot collab special meal I didn't enjoy/eat, I figured, let's try the rockefeller oysters. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE SERVER/BARTENDER with the ear plugs, do they come out sizzling on a hot plate/cast iron? Which is how I like them, he said yes. Is he new? Had he said no, I would have ordered something else. These oysters came out on a bed of salt! Cold, dry, and tasteless. They cannot be serious. This took the cake for me. These are not what I expected. You want real and delicious rockefeller oysters, go to the Coalition in Alpharetta to see what I'm talking. These, terrible. Never again. Writing this review just upset me all over again. The bill with tip came up to $135. I'm very upset I wasted my money and this Morton's ruined my favorable view of their restaurant. There are too many steakhouse competitors for them to move like this. I Do not recommend. Skip this special. Nothing special about it. Sometimes these high end steakhouse chains get a bad rap. I ate here while at a meeting and the service, food and drinks couldn't have been better! Everyone enjoyed their meals and my steak was perfect. Only weird thing that happened was that both of the waiters mistakenly brought me a refill for my martini and when the second one saw I already had one, she took it back to the bar and said they'd keep it cold, in case I wanted it later! Overall, let me say this is the first time that I have been in this area and tried this restaurant. It was very nice being around the corner from the Hyatt Regency, which I stayed at and I love this area. It was a little cold, but not too bad so we went to the restaurant made a reservation no problem getting in. They seated us served us some great bread with butter we had our drinks our server. Jordan was very very attentive took care of all our needs. Make sure everything was done just perfectly and because of her this place will get at least a four star and possibly a five star when I come back and do another review Overall I would say if you are in this area. Food was horrible. I ordered the 8-ounce filet mignon and asked for it to be cooked medium. It came out well-done. My waitress--who was awesome--said she would get me a new one, which she did. When she went to the kitchen (which was right behind our seats), the chef was talking inappropriately and making fun of me and my friend. All I asked for was salt and pepper. The steak came back almost raw with barely any sauce to go with it. I paid over $75 for terrible food, and after the tip it came out to $100. The restaurant jammed too many people and it was difficult to converse with my guests and walk to the restroom without turning sideways. We walked in on a Monday at about 6:30. The place was jam packed. It look like most of the crown were business people after work downtown or some sort of convention. They did not have anything available until 830. We found a table in the bar and sat. The waiter was busy at first so a little short. As the bar cleared out, he settled down. By the end of the night, everything what great. The inside is painted dark, but there are a decent amount of light which creates the classic steakhouse environment. Woodford old fashioned was on point. Best one this trip. I started with the wedge salad. It was really good. Dinner was the 8 oz filet of course. I preferred it medium. My job treated us to a Networking Event with a Full Course Meal. The restaurant is located under Truist Plaza in Downtown. There's just something about Downtown that excites me compared to Midtown and being at a Steakhouse just gave it a more premium feel. I found Morton's to be classy yet casual with dim lighting, plants and a signature accent wall with wine bottles. The hostess was prompt and friendly with a nice smile as well! I love this as so many Host/Hostess take this role so casually but it's an important role as you're the 1st person to be seen! The event room is in the far right corner of the restaurant. We had a customizable menu however I think many of my coworkers forgot to select their Top Picks so we had the choice of Cesar or Green Salad, Ribeye or Crab Cakes with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. No complaints here but some of the options were Bacon Gouda Mac N Cheese, so I'm wondering who didn't vote for that!- Lol. The waiter made a special announcement about the crab cake but I found it very bready in taste...I surely miss Noble Fin for that. The reason for the 4 stars is I had to request things so many times, and when the waiter would deliver drink orders, he'd keep asking, "whose drink this is". I'd tell him whose it was but he would just look frustrated and say "I'm just gonna set this here". We'd look around like, "How did he not hear us". lol The 2nd waiter also was taking orders for dessert. We had a choice but I heard him tell the other waiter to just make a selection and set them down. Not a big fan of servers who treat certain people differently. I went to Morton's steakhouse for my anniversary, and I loved the fact that they gave us menus that said, "happy anniversary" and I loved this dark candlelit atmosphere the restaurant gave. It almost giving Gatsby. I do not recommend this place if you want cute anniversary pictures. We came here to eat steak! I recommend taking pictures outside. Finding the restaurant itself was kind of tricky because on Google maps, it looks like it's inside of a hotel. It's not it's actually more on a strip. The hostess was more than happy to help me locate the restaurant and shout out to our server, who was constantly checking up on us without being obnoxious. Food: Your server will start you off with a housemade garlic bread. Now it's not garlic spread bread. It's bread with garlic pieces in it and a side of butter. It's actually very delicious. It kind of reminds me of a Jewish Hallah bread. I got the ribeye steak, medium rare. I was really happy with the steak because the cook on it was perfect and the outside had a seared crispy crust on top of that. They did a good job of making sure the fat on this ribeye steak was rendered properly a lot of times I go to restaurants and they don't know how to properly cook ribeye and so I end up getting raw fat. I also decided to get the bacon wrapped scallops and it came with a jam. I'm not a fan of the jam, I think the scallops was very lackluster, what they should've done was sear the scallops and then wrap it in bacon and cooked it because the scallops made the bacon slightly soggy, and the scallop itself was not seasoned. My partner decided to get the New York strip, it was a perfect medium For dessert: They gave us one free dessert for our anniversary . We ended up getting the chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream. Now I've said it in my other reviews and I'll say it again steakhouses do not normally make good desserts and this was a prime example of that. I did not like how the cake was a flourless, chocolate lava cake, and it had no flavor. It was just bitter and thick. The powdered sugar and caramel drizzle did absolutely nothing for the dense flavorless cake. We actually waited half an hour for this cake too, FYI, this restaurant does make their desserts in the house and fresh so be prepared to wait for it. Although the desert and scallops were kind of lackluster, at the end of the day this is a steakhouse. I have nothing bad to say about the steak. It was so flavorful, the cook on the steak was beautiful I loved the seared crust. If you love meat as much as I do, this is a great place to eat. read more

Made a last minute reservation for a large party on OpenTable. Parked across the street and paid $20 for parking. The host accommodated our party shortly after checking in. The ambiance was nice and the service was friendly. We did wait awhile for bread to come to the table though. The menus were personalized for our person celebrating a birthday. The food was okay. The Cadillac margarita was good. Everything's a la cart, so sides aren't included with entrees, but the portions are shareable. I ordered the Cajun ribeye medium well, sautéed spinach and mushrooms, and lobster mac n cheese; the waitress clarified medium well, and asked if I was okay with slightly pink, to which I said yes. The steak was not prepared as requested and the sides were underwhelming. The inside of my steak was medium and the outside was well done. Disappointing $68 steak. The sautéed spinach and mushrooms were a little salty. The mac n cheese had a few chunks of lobster, yet cost it cost $28. I can't justify spending $200 here on dinner for myself only. I only write reviews when necessary: when I had an amazing time or when I would like to help others not waste their precious time and/or resources. Unfortunately, I'm taking the time to write the latter. I wish I could give this place a better review, but my experience at Morton's The Steakhouse on my anniversary was absolutely deplorable. I'll give one star solely because our waiter was kind and bubbly, but beyond that, the evening was a disaster. Initially, everything seemed promising. It was a weekday, so the restaurant was pretty empty, and we were hopeful for a special evening. But the nightmare began as soon as the food arrived. Appetizers: The bacon-wrapped scallops were a complete disappointment. The scallops were undercooked--almost raw--and the bacon was burnt. After sending them back, the second attempt was slightly better, but still underwhelming, with an unpleasant taste. I usually love scallops, but these were inedible. The crab cakes were the only somewhat enjoyable dish, though I've had far better elsewhere. Entrées: Both my husband and I ordered the Chilean sea bass. While it was cooked well, it lacked any "wow" factor. For a place like Morton's, I expected something extraordinary, but it was mediocre at best. Sides: This was where things completely fell apart. The Brussels sprouts were tough, poorly prepared, and almost impossible to chew. And the much-hyped lobster mac and cheese? A total letdown. The lobster was chewy, and there was an odd crunch that I initially thought were shells. At home, I gave it another chance, but the crunch was so unpleasant I had to throw it away. When I called the manager, they claimed it was breadcrumbs, not shells--but whatever it was, it ruined the dish. The only redeeming moment of the night was the complimentary dessert for our anniversary, but even that couldn't make up for the overall experience. Ambiance: I also have to mention the attire policy--or lack thereof. A large party of 10-12 men came in wearing hoodies and ball caps, followed by another two who weren't part of the group. They were all seated without issue. I had carefully followed the restaurant's stated dress code, expecting a fine-dining experience, but this made it feel like an entirely different type of establishment. To make matters worse, the large group started to get loud, killing the upscale vibe I'd anticipated. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had, especially considering the cost. The food does not justify the price, the ambiance is inconsistent, and the experience as a whole falls short of what you'd expect from a so-called upscale restaurant. Save your money and go somewhere that delivers on both quality and atmosphere. You've been warned. read more

Power Hour is open til 7P, basically a happy hour of bites (drinks aren't a part of it). We shared: - The Original Morton's Prime Burger ($19.78): 9 oz prime beef patty, cheddar on brioche bun. Comes with lettuce, tomato, red onion on the side and Parmesan truffle matchstick fries. We got ours medium rare and honestly we should have asked for medium bc it was more rare. The fries are a giant portion with a slight hint of truffle. - hand cut potato chips ($8) with blue cheese dressing. Our favorite and probably most worth it item we ordered. The potatoes were fried like kettle chips, so crispy! And the blue cheese sauce was great, not overwhelming. This is a huge portion as well. - Petite Lamb Chops ($20): arugula sliced onion, grana padano, balsamic glaze. 2 petite chops, I think would have been better if it wasn't drizzled with balsamic glaze so we could taste the meat alone more. But the arugula salad was refreshing & really nice. - petite filet mignon sandwiches ($12): sliced filet mignon, mustard mayo sauce. Preferred this over the burger! Also got this medium rare. Comes as 4 mini sliders more than a sandwich, enjoyed the sauce. My husband also got the global voyage flight (3 oz pours of 3 wines) for $35 which was pretty worth since each class of 6 oz is almost $30 and you get to try more than one. Our waitress was great and that concludes the positives. We were seated at the curved booth, which would have been nice except it backed up to the water pitchers that they constantly slammed down behind our heads. Some of the wait staff stood there gossiping and a couple of them were leaning against our booth and chatting. One even rested his elbows on the back of it and was less than a foot away from my head. The food was not good. We got the Bacon Wrapped Scallops - they were just okay. The Wagyu Beef Dumplings were terrible. I had the Filet and Lobster Tail - the filet had zero flavor and I didn't finish it. The lobster tail was good. My husband had the Ribeye - it had zero flavor. We both got a Baked Potato and they were okay - I'm from the south and love butter - but not a pound of it on one potato. We ordered the garlic butter, but it never came. It was not on the bill, so I guess it was just missed. Overall I was not impressed and a little upset that I spent over $300 for a meal we could have made better at home for a lot less!!! read more

Altogether, we ordered the Cajun Ribeye Steak, Atlantic Salmon, Jumbo Steamed Asparagus, loaded baked potato, whipped potatoes, and several drinks. They offer bread as a standard before your meal. I asked for my salmon well. It came to our table pink and wet, minimally cooked. It lacked seasoning. I sent it back and requested another piece, to my liking. The redo/ overall dish didn't mesh well together. The spicy sauce that looks like tomatoes throws the dish off. Just not good. My baked potato came out late and literally burnt. I also sent it back. My husband did enjoy his steak and whipped potatoes. I enjoyed the asparagus. Our overall dining experience was just weird. Our server was nice, but he was constantly behind the ball with our drinks and food. I'm not sure why he thought it was ok to serve a burnt baked potato at what's supposed to be a five-star restaurant. He also packed our food up to go and gave us someone else's food. We found a packed container in our bag that wasn't a part of our meal. Then again, I'm not even sure why we took the food home. So yeah. Our dining table was unsanitary. There were gnats everywhere and it made it difficult to enjoy our food. I recorded gnats flying into the bread loaf and hanging out in it, but it doesn't look like I can post videos on Yelp. Dinner from start to finish was excellent. Daeton did a fantastic job taking care of us.

We choose Morton's this year to celebrate our anniversary. From start to finish, we had an immensely pleasurable experience. Parking was easy just across the street and they validate. They even accommodate a change in our schedule today and allowed me to book a later slot for dinner. They decorated the table for us and gave us a menu that said "Happy Anniversary." They covered our dessert as well. Our service was stellar. Dorothy, our server, and most knowledgeable of the menu and answered all of our questions in detail. She introduced me to a new Napa Valley based Chardonnay that was silky smooth and butter with less of an acidic punch descent. I'm truly appreciative for that expertise. We started with a shareable chopped salad which was delicious--it always tasted homemade. I had the Cajun Ribeye Medium Well-Plus and it was cooked to perfect and paired well with the Black Truffle Sauce. I saw understand why this is their best seller. We had shareable sides of Green Beans and Au Gratin potatoes. We had plenty to pack up and take home for lunch tomorrow. The Chocolate Cake is a sure bet. The heat from the chocolate coupled with the delicious Vanilla ice cream and its coolness are a sure combination to get the juices flowing--all of them. They are awesome. Bravo! read more

I went here for the 1st time and can't front I enjoyed . The Wine selection is what got the 4 stars for me . They had a very good wine menu . I would say everything with the food was OK, veggie plate left a foul after taste but the sever Brian was the best , so of you go I truly recommend him . They did a great job in making me feel like it was anything I couldn't ask for . Food was OK I wouldn't brag on anything but the wine for me because I think the veggies had something that left a weird after taste and I couldn't shake it , Mac and cheese was missing something and steak was good . So I Def will spin the block and go back if not for the food for the view of the hustle of downtown . They do validate parking from across the street. Drink was the highlight for me , old fashioned did the job and wine fantastic . read more
