I brought this shop a complex task, of altering some industrial fire retardant jackets that had zipper closures, and altering them two-button closers. several Taylor shops at told me it couldn't be done, but the shop took on the task, and when I got the jackets back they were excellently done, they had taken the fabric of the zipper out and reversed it removed the zipper and used the extra fabric to place the buttons in such a way that the jacket still closed exactly the same. The buttonholes were expertly threaded. And they did so at a bargain price. Not only did they do work that other said could not be done, they did it beautifully. They are competent, professional, and friendly. I highly recommend them! read more

I took four new and quite expensive items in to be hemmed and they were returned to me with hems that were so crooked it was laughable. The hemming was so irregular that in some places there was more than a one inch difference! The items had already been cut and the owner's solution was to sew the cut portion back on (!) and hem the items again which would have left a visible, irregular seam above the hem. When I protested, she gaslit me. I kept trying to get her to take responsibility for the damaged, poorly hemmed items. She could care less about the quality of the work her shop produced. My items were ruined and she charged a fortune for the work. I was able to get my money back in full from my credit card company (for the dismal attempted tailoring) and the company that referred me to her (for the damaged items) but buyer beware. There are professional, reputable places to get tailoring done without supporting a business that willfully neglects the work they have agreed to do and an owner who does not stand behind her work product. read more

I asked a heroic task of Morrow's to restore (reweave) pants and a jacket of my husband's that had been damaged by moths. I was prepared for the result to be imperfect, based on the amount of damage and the nature of the fabric. The repairs were done very skillfully and in almost no time, at less than the price quoted. Update: Not too long after I left this honest review. Theresa, the owner, left me a voicemail essentially gaslighting me, mocking me, and threatening me with an attorney if I didn't " clean this up" I have dash cam footage of me driving up to the store before 5pm. I have witnesses on that footage that told me and my husband that the store closes early quite frequently. Theresa told me that if I had an emergency then that was a "me problem". But as a business you can't say one thing and go back on it. That's not okay and that is the main reason why I left this review. If the shop couldn't deliver in time, you should have just said so. Also according to a written response on google they gave me a discount. I went to double check my banking statement and did not see one. ------------------------------------- Do not use their services, especially, if you have a tight deadline. They do not keep their word. Had to have my husbands pants tailored last minute because the online retailer he ordered from didn't deliver on tailoring. I went in yesterday when they opened, and said it was an emergency. The pants needed to be done by Thursday morning. The lady I talked to said it's wouldn't be an issue and that I could even comeback later that day at 5pm to pick it up. When I arrived back at the shop at 4:55 that day the shop was completely closed up. The posted hours said they close at 5pm. Really annoying that I drove for nothing. I took in a simple loose cotton midi dress to have shortened approx. 2 to 3 inches. They pinned it up nicely, but I was told it wouldn't be ready for 2 weeks. I am a sweater fanatic, and I had a few vintage ones that had seen better days. I came over here to get the holes darned so they didn't come unraveled when I wear them. I had three sweaters and they all had quite a few holes. The lady quoted me 120$ for everything, saying that she was giving me a discount because there were so many holes. I know it's a decent amount of work and tailors are expensive so I was okay with it becuase it was 3 sweaters with a lot of holes. I picked them up today, the 9th, having dropped them off the 5th. Very happy they got the job done on my man's suit and got the exact measurements right the first time. Needed this done now or never because in 3 days will be the big event. I just have to criticize the pricing because it all cost 130 bucks for fixing the sleeves on the jacket and fixing the pants to make it shorter and loosening the waist. I'm not sure if it's a family owned tailor but it looked like it is owned by a Russian lady. She's very nice and friendly. My boyfriend found this place. He brought a few work shirts to get tailored. He seemed to be pretty happy with the results. I had two dress pants that were too long so I thought maybe I should go here again. The cost of two pants came out to be $24. $12 each pants seemed to be a bit pricey for just hemming. Then again I usually had my mom does it for me with her machine. I'm not too sure how much it should cost. I just thought it's pricey. I can get another pants for $12. That's my logic. I read another review after I dropped off my pants. It was written 21 days ago...so sometimes in January 2019, where he paid $8. I'm a bit upset that the price changed that significantly. Oh btw you also have to prepay for your items. read more

This shop did great work for me a few years ago through Patrick James. I had several shirt sleeves shortened for $10 a shirt. I called today and explained that Patrick James had moved and I wanted to shorten a few more shirts. She said the price was now $40 a shirt even thought I paid $10 a few years ago. I went to go get my pants hemmed and paid $90 for five pairs of pants which is $18 a pants. This was handed to the Russian woman in the front. She then calls me three hours later saying that I owe her $60 more dollars to hem the pants even though I paid upfront and she clearly saw that there were five pairs of pants. They are trying to charge me $30 to hem each pair of pants I told her I'm not gonna pay any more money for a price I was already negotiate it on. This review is long overdue but I've tried to like going here but I can't stand the blond woman at the front desk. She is so boujee and gives you the snobby "look you up and down" look. It's mildy uncomfortable. I can sense your snobbiness once I entered the door. She also jacks up her prices to SF prices. She once quoted me $40 to hem a dress and pair of denim jeans. Once I said I'll go to my normal tailor, she lowered it to $30. She overprices her services in hopes that you'll give in. I also brought in my bf's dress shirt that had a slight tear on the shoulder seam and she charged me $20 for that too then lowered it to $10. I feel like she's so dishonest with her prices. This place is the real deal. I called and asked if I can drop off pants that had really bad holes and asked if I can pick it up same day. Lady on the other end told me to drop it off and she will see for herself. Dropped it off, she was saying the holes were bad but she was confident she can fix it. 1 1/2 hours went by and she called me and said to come in and pick it up. I was impressed because they're fast and VERY good. The holes are now unnoticeable and they did the impossible in my opinion. This is now my go to! Regret trying this place. I brought in a dress that just needed the neck sewn. It had come with a lining that I'd very carefully removed with a seam ripper intending to sew it myself, but the neckline started to fray so I turned to a professional. The woman said no problem, $25, pick it up in a week. When I did i discovered they had moved the center to the side for some reason so it was no longer symmetrical. I pointed it out. The lady in charge (not the one who originally took the garment) started ranting that $25 wasn't enough for this job, that I had cut the dress--I hadn't--and more general bitching. It seemed like she was trying to start an argument to get out of fixing it, so I said nothing and let her go on and on. Finally, they admitted it needed to be redone and said to pick it up the next day. When I showed up, it still wasn't ready. I went next door for a pedicure to pass the time and an hour later, I tried it on again and it was still completely crooked. I wasn't up for another shrill conversation with that crazy woman so took it and left. They kept the $. Two chances were more than enough and I feared if I left it again it would be unable to be fixed by the next person. The result was so bad I actually tried to find the exact dress online again (it is gorgeous and fit perfectly!) but it was sold out. If I could add a photo there is no way anyone would take their expensive beautiful clothes to gamble on this place. I certainly never will again. Terrible, awful, unpleasant. Ugh. read more

I took in a women's shirt that I wanted shortened - curved shirttail hem. I brought in the measurements (pinned to the blouse) and then the owner suggested we measure again. The desired measurement turned out the same. When I came to pick up the shirt, it was cut straight across - no shirttail hem - way too short! The shirt was ruined! I asked owner to call me - no reply. Finally after another two visits, she did respond - by saying the material was cheap (the shirt was a David Cline). When I came in as requested, she started shrieking (her normal voice I think) that they do wedding dresses, suits, and what was the big deal? She also told me that I had changed my mind after buying the shirt and was looking for a reason to be reimbursed! FINALLY one of the sewing ladies came running over and said "I'm sorry. We made a mistake. Give us two days to fix it." That was all that had to be said and I suggested to the owner that she should let the seamstress to the talking. Of course I gave them the chance. However, when I left, the owner was still shrieking "What's the big deal?" The shirt is still on the short side, but they were able to retrieve the cut- off part and did a surprisingly nice fix job. I have decided to wear the shirt under a vest. I do understand that mistakes happen. But I will never go back to hear the shrieking and because of the lack of responsibility. read more

Took the recommendation of a friend who prefers the look, feel, and general style of custom fit clothing and went over to Morrows. I needed a suit altered for an important meeting; having the pants hemmed and waist taken in were the main needs, and Roman was fairly priced. However, the jacket itself was a standard fit and I knew at some point it needed to be taken in to create the modern look I'd eventually want. Roman had me try the full suit on and he was able to spot the problem with the jacket as well as some additional wrinkling/oddities that I wasn't aware of. It was a fairly cheap off the rack suit, so I wasn't expecting the world. Because Roman was able to get the work done within 24 hours, whether it was just the pants or the full alterations, I went ahead and asked for the full tailoring. AND because I chose to pay cash he gave me a small discount. That was unexpected and a really nice gesture. The pricing for the hemming was in line with the many cleaners who do alterations on the side, the waist was a little more expensive than the tailor at Macy's, and I think getting the jacket taken in was about the same price as Macy's. However, the real selling point for me was the quick turn around time, professionalism, and the fact that he didn't push for me to get all the work done at once. THIS GUY IS THE BEST. I previously made the mistake of going to Alterations-to-go, so I searched for someone who could fix it. I found Morrow's through Yelp and RDouglas.net. Upon meeting Roman, he immediately knew what was wrong and had the know-how to correct it. He did the waist, seat, and crotch of the pant and redid the leg ends. Along with this, he took in the waistline on the suit jacket, also shortening the sleeves to show cuff. The suit was perfect. It costs a little more than those sketchy laundromats that do alterations on the side, but hey, it's totally worth it (if you've spent hundreds on a suit, what's an extra few bucks for the right fit?). I gave him another suit to tailor, and I'm excited about picking it up tomorrow. read more

Four stars because I feel they're a tad pricey, but I like the fact the owner is honest and open and explains everything about the repair or alteration. I have to chaperone prom and although I ordered a dress to my measurements, it was a blanket when I tried it on. I got it altered here and I really liked my experience. They gave it to me ahead of when I needed it. The dress also had come with pockets and they worked around the pleating to keep the pockets. It now fits perfectly! I have not gotten things altered before so I can't speak to the price being comparable, but I felt like what I paid was justified for the quality of work that was completed. I am already planning to go back here to get the zipper on another dress repaired. read more

I have had several pairs of pants altered here. I have a small waist and need to take in virtually all my dress pants to fit properly without a belt. So far 8 pairs have come back looking as if they had never been touched. He disassembled the back of the waist and reassembled it to the proper size. great work! Why only 4 stars... Wonderful shop! My husband bought this great jacket from Hlaska but the sleeves were too long, so we took it to Morrow's and the tailor was great about showing us the proper way to fix the sleeves while maintaining the jacket's style and shape. What I loved is that he told us upfront, he could simple hem the cuff but it would ruin the buttons and design that it had, or he could do it right from the shoulder and it wouldn't ruin the jacket but it takes more time. I appreciated that he was honest with us and I'm glad so glad we chose this place because the tailoring was impeccable and the jacket looks great. Highly recommend!! read more

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but this one is more than warranted. They ruined my clothes twice. They ruined my dress two years ago, but recently I decided to give this place one more chance. And they ruined my dress again. First time, they made my dress too short by shortening its streps even though that was not part of the alteration request. Now, they made my dress too tight in the chest. All I needed to have done was to have it taken up in the breast area. It was pinned correctly, and I explicitly told them not to touch anything else. When I put the altered dress on, the breast area was still too big, nothing had been done with that. But! Somehow they made it tighter around my arms and the back. I can't move freely in this dress anymore and it cuts into my armpit area. They were nice enough to fix the breast area the same day, haphazardly, but it works. I'm just sad that the dress is very uncomfortable now. They made me pay full price. I won't be back. They don't know what they are doing! read more

I am rating it 5 stars because of it's accurate consistency with hemming. I am on the short side so I needed to find someone I could trust. I could always count on them in regards to quality of the hem. All my pants were slacks. Some jeans. My advice is to always be clear in regards to what you want. If you do not understand tailor jargon...ask them to elaborate so they can show you what they mean. In regards to customer service and timeliness. They were mostly on point but there was once or twice where they would get swamped and they had to postpone my pick up date. They once gave me the wrong suit too. But that stuff happens...if you want quality product...this is the place. Price is fair, because of the quality. Oh, and they also allow you to pay up front or at pick up. read more

I took a new leather jacket in to have the sleeves shortened. Because of the way the sleeves were done, they had to be shortened at the shoulder. Morrows did absolutely excellent work, and on schedule. They probably aren't the cheapest, but its their business, and you get what you pay for. read more
