for the ladies who are getting married, please take caution. I dont recommend bringing your wedding dress here. i needed my wedding dress altered to make it smaller, my main complaints were the bust area was too big and the sides need to be taken in. the work to put it short was terrible. not only did they not adjust the cup size, they added a pad which made my dress look worse. to top it all off, the jusy literally sewed the inside if the dress to make it "fit" they didnt even bother atleast separating the liner and the main fabric to take it in neatly. no quality in the work at all in the $450 that they charged me. read more

Expensive alteration but they do a good job. In the past 2 months I have gotten 2 dresses done costing $75 (just hemming )and $85 (hemming and taken it in on the sides ) they have gotten it done within a week which is why I have gone back read more

Easy Alteration - I'm in the Orange on the right - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Sacramento, California

I needed two pairs of black stretch athletic pants shortened. I asked very specifically that the inseam be 26 1/2 inches (I measured similar pants I own) and the same amount taken up all around. Well, the inseams I got back are 24 1/2 inches and the pants are too short. I would never go back to this shop. They didn't care at all about what I wanted and didn't do what I asked. read more

I have never been so humiliated, disrespected, nor discriminated against!! I have supported this business and recommended this business to others. I came here Saturday to get pants altered. The total price was $80 for 3 wide flowing stretch pants to be ready in 2 weeks. Over the weekend, I realized it was best to just get the pants and return to the store for a smaller size which would save me money. I came today, Monday, requesting my pants back and for a refund. I used a card to make the purchase. The owner, an older woman, wanted me to get store credit for future alterations. However, I was not satisfied with that as an option since the pants were not worked on and I used a card and not cash. There was no telling if and when I would back for more alterations There was multiple conversations of back and forth in Spanish speaking language. The woman indicated that when a card is charged she gets a fee. I questioned how much the fee was and she then decided to give me $70 cash. I was very appreciative of that gesture instead of not receiving anything. I told the lady thank you. She ignored me. I told her thank you again. She said no take your business elsewhere do not come back here! I told her I come in here very respectful and have brought business here before and you want to be rude to me! Now if the pants were being worked on that's a difference. But my pants were not touched! I'm so disappointed in how I was treated. I have never had an experience like this! Extremely disappointed. read more

Just wanted to drop an updated review of Griselda and her ladies. This is the kind of small business that makes cities amazing. A Women Latin owned business that does fantastic work at a great price. I have been bringing my clothes her for over a decade and she has never disappointed me. I send all my friends here and would highly recommend her to everyone. She recently altered a suit of mine and it fits perfectly. The jacket and pants look like they were custom made. Made an average off the rack on sale suit look like so much more expensive. read more

Easy Alteration - Dresses she has made! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Sacramento, California

I came to pick up my Wedding dress....but as they were taking it off the rack....my white dress was being dragged on the floor! And she stepped on my dress with her shoe! On top of that, she broke two hooks on the dress trying to unzip me. Although she sewed it back on right after ripping it off....it was the LACK OF CARE towards my dress that I am very dissatisfied by! read more

Quick turn around and very great service. Always very patient and pays attention to detail. Highly recommend

Griselda had my wedding dress altered and ready within a week! Fast turnaround! It fit perfectly!

I've been to Easy A for alterantions many times. They provide affordable and timely alterations. Can handle complicated garmets, such as suits and wedding /formal dresses. read more

I've come here a couple times over the last few years to get my bridesmaid dress altered. They always do a great job at a very competitive price. It recently cost me $65 to get my bridesmaid dress hemmed here, whereas other alteration shops were quoting me anywhere between $85-$125 for the same service. My bridesmaid dresses always come out good from Easy Alteration. The staff are very friendly, and they are usually able to complete my alterations within 1-2 weeks. read more

I've never owned a suit before and I needed to get an off the rack one tailored. Now this may have been my mistake for going to an alteration shop instead of a tailor but that's besides the point. First off, they didnt really acknowledge me when I first walked in. One of the ladies looked at me but didnt say anything. When I finally was helped, they didnt ask what I wanted. She went straight to hemming the pant legs and jacket sleeves. When I asked for her to slim the leg, she didnt do measurements but told me that she'd do it when she was working on it. I've never done this before so I thought it was normal. When I paid there was no real breakdown of the price. She just gave me a number. Went to pickup the suit and tried it on. Everything still felt baggy but they were still giving me a weird energy so I just left. Took the suit to the dry cleaners. Picked up the suit when it was done and the dry cleaner basically pointed out that they did everything wrong. He was showing me their stitches and how they weren't really straight. He even pointed out that they did the jacket sleeves poorly and brought over a good quality jacket to compare. He basically said that they hustled me. Lesson learned. read more

After another tailor completely butchered hemming some basic t-shirts, the incredible team at Easy Alteration not only expertly repaired the damage & properly fixed my items, they accomplished it all in less than a day! They are true professionals, as well as kind & patient. Don't bother going anywhere else! read more

Never judge a book by its cover right? But I guess sometimes you have to or go with your gut. This place is unorganized. They have a messy shelve of customers' items for pick up. Some items are bagged, most are not, and some are chilling on the floor. I still gave the place a shot because I needed some jeans hemmed. I brought two pair of jeans here for hemming. One was ok, and the other was awful... the results make me so sad. The hem job is just poor. My jeans were not bagged and they were pinned together with my order ticket. When the shop owner or employee took off the pin, it snagged my jeans... They obviously don't care to take care of your items. It's really upsetting. Never again will I come back here. read more

I was searching for a place to get alterations for my birthday dress and I googled this place called easy alteration I went in and a sweet lady asked me if I needed some help. I told her I have a dress that is too small and I really like this dress and if there's anything that she can do about it, she told me to go put it on and she said, I can help you and I said really because I really want to wear this for my birthday. She said I will make this dress. You'll have a pretty dress for your birthday after a few days I went to go pick it up nervous and she had me try it on, and I was amazed how lovely it looked at fit just right I wanted to cry how it look on me. I so happy I will go back to this place again I highly recommend it to my family and my friends. Thank you so much you made my day I will definitely be back. Judy read more

I'm so glad I found this place. I needed my birthday outfit altered and they were quick, efficient and very kind. They were busy so it took a couple of weeks, but that was plenty of time for me. If you are in a hurry, they seem as if they'd accommodate. 10/10 for me. Thank you so much! read more

Griselda really pulled through for me in a crunch. I was visiting from SoCal for my best friends wedding and the tux service I was using got the blazer sleeve size wrong (too long). Easy Alterations was the only shop open at 0830, all other shops in the area opened later at 9 or 10 so they immediately were my go-to as I was in a hurry. She managed to do same service and got everything wrapped up by the early afternoon. Absolutely incredible, excellent customer service and availability. Highly recommended. Also a LatinX small business, a great way to support folks in our community read more

Awesome folks! Our daughter waited til the last minute to decide to go to prom, the dress she found was a1/2 size too big and about 6" too long. Easy Alteration - Altered dress, excellent fit! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Sacramento, California

Griselda knows how clothes are put together and if she says she can do it .... she really can do it the way it needs to be done. She has altered a few dresses and cashmere coats for me, and darned cashmere sweaters. In each piece she first looks at the intended cut and then suggests how it can be altered. I am so glad I found her. read more

This review is long overdue. I used to go to easy alterations for all of my alteration needs. They always did amazing work for a reasonable price. During my wedding prep, I decided to get a second gown for the reception portion but needed alterations done. Without hesitation, I turned to easy alterations. Unfortunately, when I picked up my gown, the alteration had been botched. All it needed was to be taken up with a small seam at the bottom. They instead created a whole new design on the dress, with a thick border and strings hanging out of the stitching. The alteration also did not line up with the lining of the dress. Ive included pictures here of their work. I tried to explain politely what was needed to fix the dress but one of the women that work there told me I didn't know anything about alterations and was wrong. I was a week out from my wedding and started crying a little, as they said they would do no further alterations to the dress. When that same woman noticed that I'd started tearing up, she told me to leave her business immediately and never come back. I was stunned at her reaction. I had never had anyone speak to me like that. No matter the situation, any challenge can always be talked through with empathy and kindness. The other woman working in the shop that was sitting next to her, leaned over to me and told me to shrug it off because the other woman had a family member that was sick and was dealing with a lot. I have a lot of empathy for situations like this but to treat a customer so rudely and unkind, was terrible. It made other customers uncomfortable to a point where they were trying to console me because they'd heard how the woman had treated me. I'd previously referred family members and friends to their business and after hearing about my experience, they no longer get their alterations done here. I luckily found a place that was able to quickly fix the dress that week before my wedding and I'm so grateful for that. The other place I had taken the dress to was shocked by the job that easy alterations had done and affirmed that it was a terrible job. read more

I've been using this shop for years now. I never knew that getting clothes altered was within my price range. It takes a dress or skirt that I've bought off the rack and turns it into something that fits me perfectly! I've gotten dresses, skirts and tops done here. I also had my wedding gown and a costume altered here too. My husband gets his pants done here as well (adding a bit more space in the seat, tapering the leg) - I can't rave enough about this place. One time, I bought a costume that was absolutely not going to fit me but I squinted and thought that maybe I could get some black fabric added to make it work??? There was enough material in the pleats to make it fit and still give me pleats!!! Also, the top was absolutely not going to fit but I brought a top that fit and they were able to cut the embroidery off and attach it to the shirt that did fit me - it looked like that is how it was supposed to come! I've been sending colleagues and friends here for years, great great great place! read more

The staff at Easy Alterations were able to make a same-day alteration to the hem of my dress pants at a reasonable price and with no rush fee. I'm very satisfied with their work. read more

Thankful to find a place nearby but when I asked how much to hem she took time to say $65. I had left message earlier and when she answered message said 45-55. Asked if bodice and sleeves need to be altered and they said no. Hem was poorly done and I had to rush to another tailor who fixed the bodice and lining so dress would look nice. 2nd tailor noted poor hem job and asked if they gave back a fair amount of material, but they kept Very disappointed and not use again. Thankful 2nd tailor did an excellent job in making the dress fit nicely. read more

Reliable with great results! Came in with 6 items and the staff quickly pinned each one as I tried them on. They gave me an expected finish date as to when I could come pick them up. Came that expected finish date and they were all done as promised. Tried all 6 items on in the store and they each had clean seams and, except one, fit exactly as hoped. The one that was still a bit loose in the crotch area they offered to take in a little more without any judgement, hesitation, or additional costs. In less than 10 mins, they finished taking the pants in more and they fit perfectly! Would highly recommend them for your alteration needs. read more

I had a long maxi dress altered with crochet design. They did a good job, and also were able to accommodate a relatively quick turn around time. I would've appreciated a little more communication either at drop off to say that it would be ready first thing on the day of pickup, or a call on the day of to say when it was ready. I'm taking one star off for the price, which I found to be expensive. read more

I have come to Easy Alteration on two separate occasions and have been very pleased with my entire experience, each time. For starters, Griselda (who I believe may be the owner) is a very nice lady and very customer focused. Whenever I walk in, she comes from around her work station to greet me with smile and gain an understanding of what I need. I am a first responder and have had to have my uniforms repaired for tears. Not only did Griselda and her staff do a superb job with fixing my uniforms, but they did them the very same day. The work quality was terrific and made my uniforms look sharp again. The price was also excellent and I actually felt guilty about paying not paying more. Talk about excellent, quality work at an affordable price! If you're needing quality alterations at a reasonable price, look no further. This is the place for you. Easy Alteration has my business for the foreseeable future! read more
