Good food, good service, & great atmosphere. We were seated quickly, and the staff was able to give us a translated menu. We tried a ton of recommended tapas... they were all different and tasted good. We also ordered a flight of beers. This was fun because we tried a variety of different flavors. They also had sweeter drinks if that is what you are looking for (just ask). 4/5

The beer is really good. It is hard to find flights do this is a nice option so that I can try a variety. The food was good but the menu was not super extensive and no kids menu is the reason for 4 stars.

    Sangria and a beer

In Jersey, you can count on a diner to be open all night and satisfy every craving imaginable. In Barcelona, Moritz does a good job of solving that problem. They stay open late night, have got a stacked menu and to top if off, are also a brewery. After a looong day of flight delays this was the perfect way to unwind with some tasty food and drink. I was more thirsty than hungry, and ended up with a massive glass of delicious and refreshing sangria. I still wanted a few bites, and ordered a ham and cheese croquette and pan con tomato. This was my first croquette of the week, but I've got to say that it was the best. The pan con tomato was also excellent. It's a simple dish but had a ton of rich olive oil and tomato flavor. My dude was super jazzed about the beer brewed in-house, and ordered their signature beer with a chorizo flatbread. We loved the food, drinks and vibe so much at Moritz that we had to talk ourselves out of coming back in order to try as many different spots as possible. This is definitely worth a visit while in Barcelona, especially if you are a craft beer fan.

Dropped by Fabrica Moritz for a night cap after a late night dinner... The place was really empty but music still so loud. Service was slow and lukewarm compare to other bars we been to in Barcelona. Moritz and Moritz Epidor were the only beer available for the evening. I prefer Epidor, a strong pale lager over their pilsner maybe for the stronger ABV content? Not worth a special trip but not bad if you are in the neighbour to drop by for a quick drink. Did not try the food but seriously with so many good restaurants in Barcelona eating at Fabrica Moritz was not at the top of our list during our short visit.

Z: sampler flights were great because they let us choose the beers- my favorite was the seasonal special, the moritz 7, and the amazing Epidor. Food was not the highlight, but certainly sufficient. D: the service could have been a little better and they closed a little earlier than posted which seems to be the theme in Barcelona. The flights were great especially because I'm not a stout drinker and they allow you to pick your beers (4 of 7). The Epidor is dangerous and amazing (7%) a must try. Come for the beer. The food is average and mostly fried. BEWARE: when going to the bathroom downstairs after a few drinks... the floor is glass. Startling but fun, to say the least.

Over the years I'm developed a liking to beer, craft beer that is and I've been adding (visits to local distillers) it to my travels. As soon as you walk in, it's like you're walking into work at a beer factory - old brick walks, barrels and varying floor materials/colours. The vibe is hip and fun. The place is spacious and hold hundreds of people for dining, they also have private spaces for larger! The bathrooms below should not be missed and it showcases older part of brewery. We ordered: Iberico Bellota ham, olivas, patatas bravas, padron peppers, cheese board, a few bocadillo with their brew of IPA, epidor, fresh. With the exception of fried potatoes, everything tasted light and paired well with our beer choices. Unexpected, but welcomed. Will definitely go back!

Delicious Tapas and beer! They were very welcoming to tourists and offered a solid selection of the local favorites. Food came out really fast. I sampled some beer, she got the sangria and we went to town on the fried calamari with onion rings, potatoes, oysters, giant prawns, pork Jowl sandwich, fried monkfish and most of all, had a blast! Highlight: the port sandwich, the onion rings !

Beer was good but not as good as Amsterdam or California. the two light beers where malty and good but the darker was pretty thin. The food was amazing. Got the chicken roasted on the beer can, was so good and juicy. Definitely worth going for a bite to eat. The potato with the garlic sauce was really good

Really? You pour beers down my throat and put a clear floor in the hall to the bathroom???

We were told that we simply HAD to hit the Moritz place. It was near our hotel, but we didn't make it until Mr Recommender came by with his new Mrs. It's a good thing they did, this isn't a quiet, intimate spot. It's like an industrial themed chain restaurant, except it doesn't suck. The service was quick and attentive and everybody's food was good. The only problem is the glass floor on the way to the restroom. NOT cool, Moritz.

When a place is called a brew pub you expect a good selection of food and brew. Regrettably Fabrica Moritz only delivered on the variety of food - and wow, there is a ton! On the beer side not so much. Just a typical Pilsner type and a more amber version. I had frankly hoped for more. That being said, the amber was pretty tasty! I was able to force down a couple glasses! My food was uninspiring. Ordered a burger (had been craving one during this trip) and thought "where better than a brew pub to get a burger?" Well, there clearly are better places cause this burger was quite red inside (not my favorite way to eat hamburger) and it was dripping all over the place. I'm always a little concerned when I see that much red but it turned out ok. It didn't have a lot of taste but it served the purpose. Service was borderline terrible. So any hope of sending the burger back was nonexistent. My burger arrived a good 10 minutes before my wife's sandwich so we got to watch each other eat. Atmosphere is ok although I wish there had actually been a bar there to sit. I much prefer sitting at the bar drinking a couple and ordering a sandwich. I'd rather not wait to be seated at a table. They have NO bar. On the whole it's just an ok place. Beer is good. I'd try something different from the menu next time.

Just two of their craft brews at Moritz. The Moritiz and Moritz

I LOVE THIS PLACE! This has got to be on the top of my list of places to go at night. Too bad it is in Barcelona rather then my home Toronto. This place is divided into 4. One being a wine bar for the more quiet and intimate. The focus only on wine. The next is the actual bar itself where they server small tapas and their own craft brew. This is also the waiting area to be seated for dining. The staff are very nice during the waiting process and some how remember who you are without even taking your name. Left of that is the main dining area where you simply sit, order and eat. And finally there is their store where they sell their own cool beer related products. They also sell their own beer and a special 1L bottle with a special case so you can take home. They pour it fresh from the tap, cap it and label it for you. They also sell knickknacks and great souvenirs. As for the food, they are very unique. Typical hipster joint. One dish I complete will never forget is the seafood platter. It's a 2 tier platter with enough seafood to fill up 4 people. One thing on the platter that never existed in my life was the Goose Barnacles. What the heck are Goose Barnacles? I found out that they are little snail like creatures that leech off of the side of the piers. I'll never find those again in Canada =( The staff are fast, friendly and interesting. Their uniforms are car mechanic onesie suits with matching shoes. Looks like they are all on duty to go fix the next set of cars at a automotive factory. If you ever get a chance to go here, go to the washroom. You'll be walking towards some very trippy flooring. Clear glass floor that shows the spanish ruins underground. it's eerie but very interesting. It leads you down to their basement where they have a separate room for private events and their brewing factory. You see the giant tanks and their beer being brew live. Oh and for the boys washroom, don't get confused by the urinals. They look like sinks. So don't be washing your hands in the urinal =) Overall, best place ever. Love the crowd, atmosphere and service. They have another location in the U.S. so hopefully I'll be able to hit up this place again some time soon.

    Beer time!

Given the eccentric and delicious menu, I want to give the place 5 stars. Gooseneck barnacles were excellent and so was the Russian salad. For the adventurous eater, I would highly recommend trying both. The Russian salad was loaded with Iberian sausage. However, service left much to be desired and although tempting, I can't give this place 5 stars. We literally had to wait about 30 minutes after our table was cleaned for the waitress to bring a check.

Beer is cheaper than water in Spain. This fact makes me ridiculously happy, and I don't even really like beer! I was brought here one night on a food tour and really enjoyed snooping around downstairs in what once upon a time were brewing areas and now provide event spaces with cool lighting and mirror installations. We tried glasses of Moritz brewed in house and apparently very different to what you buy in bottles/cans elsewhere as it isn't pasteurised. Strangely, I enjoyed it and visited again a few nights afterwards for a relaxed dinner and a couple more beers! The bombe is the bomb. I don't care that that thing could give me a heart attack, I really just want to eat one every day for the rest of my days. The sandwiches are on excellent bread (made in the bakery next door!) and have delicious fillings. I had one laden with vegetables and pesto and felt rather virtuous. Come in the late afternoon or early evening and this is a great place to sit and read/write. There's decent music, efficient service and of course an endless supply of beer and snacks!

    Litro de cerveza por favor!

Fun little American beer bar style place in Barcelona…read more I've been here twice, and enjoyed both times! The beer selection is vast and great, I've enjoyed their wheat beer, as well as lagers. The wings are good too, my favs were garlic Parmesan, buffalo & buffalo mild. I love that they offer free water lol This is a great place for groups of about 4-8 anything more and you may not be able to fit on the same table. It's a fun pregame place, and I recommend it.

This is definitely a great spot for anyone into American beer hall vibes while in Barcelona - plenty of seating and TV's throughout to watch games or other things. You order up at the counter, and we just got a pitcher of beer when we went later at night, as the food service had ended. I do kind of wish we could've had the chance to still get some food, as other tables that had some from earlier looked really tasty. Nevertheless, the vibes were great and the beers hit the spot here. What more can I say?! It was bright, airy, and comfortable inside - perfect for hanging out! I think this is a great option - especially for American tourists, but also for just anyone that wants to have a spot that's chill and fun to hang out at. I definitely recommend!
