Maestro is probably a 3.5 for me overall. We stopped here because our planned destination had a long wait, and Maestro had good ratings. This is a great place to come with a group - the interior is large, bustling and a little noisy. They brew their own beer and it's available in several sizes or in flights. I opted for wine because I'm always bringing wine to a beer fight but the men had a pitcher of beer and were good with it. Maestro has a larger menu so most people will be able to find something they like. They also do lots of combos - liked a mixed meat and cheese board or an assortment of montaditos. That let's you try a bunch of different things for a reasonable price, and it's great for sharing as we found out. I liked our bites assortment for sure but nothing stood out as "amazing". It's a different story on their flammekuche - we opted for the traditional ham and onion and liked it so well we ordered another. This was a great find after viewing Gaudi buildings and walking along Catalunya. Barcelona microbrewery scene is growing and this restaurant happened to be a microbrewery which I did not notice initially since we were seated outside under a tent. When I took a look inside the place was loaded with tanks. Cool looking restaurant. We tasted a beer flight and then ordered a pint of one of the beers we tasted. We had a few tapas of course including a bacala cerviche and fried calamari's. Nice place to visit on a hot day and have a few beers. read more

For the ever growing craft beer scene in Spain is is really a 5 star establishment. Hailing from the Midwest of the US, I am spoiled to know a couple two, three people in the indusrty and have a friends that are constantly looking out for me. The space is in a high traffic area nad we stumbled upon it when making the rounds across the Barcelona. The beers are made in-house but nothing blew me away, however, this is Spain and the craft breweries are still in the infantile stage. I had a few that were good and some of the better around compared to the brews mass produced in the country. I wish them the best and I see them taking off inthe future, especially for the location and given craft beer or cerveza artisian is getting in Spain. read more

We only had beer here. Everything was good, but nothing was great. We got a sampler that included several seasonal beers along with a pale ale and a stout. The seasonals we're definitely my favorite. The stout was just a bit too malty... I don't really ever like pale ale, so I'm not the best judge on that. Nice ambience and not too crowded. They also had the AC kicking which was a nice change of pace on a 90 degree day. read more

Maestró is a really nice venu that offers either indoor or street-side dining. All of the tapas they serve are tasty and fresh, which is a welcome change from a lot of other tapas places in Barcelona that focus mostly on deep-fried fare. Two friends and I shared a meal here, and shared bread, a number of very good tapas dishes, and the burger of the month (which was served with chips). All the flavors were very good, and all the ingredients were obviously fresh. I wouldn't hesitate to either return here for another meal, or recommend it to others :-) read more

We went here because the one we wanted to go to a block away was way too crowded. They did not disappoint. Food was good and service was excellent. We got the patatas bravas - tender potatoes, topped with an aioli mix with just a hint of wasabi and fried egg, anchovies in olive oil and vermouth. Cool looking place, 2 floors. Place was kinda quiet and many tables available. We were planning on elsewhere but it had an hour wait so we walked around and ended up here. Started with wine, my friend got flight of beer. Wine & beer prices are pretty great in Barcelona given that you could get a good glass of wine for under 5 euro. Large selection of beers also for great prices. All lower then US happy hour prices all the time. The tapas ranged around 5 euro, got asparagus, steak on toast, calamari, croquettes, beef marinated in sauce and cod. All of them were pretty good and decent sizes . This place is really fantastic. When every tapas menu starts to look the same it's great to find a place that both twists the classics and adds unique dishes I struggle to classify. The beer braised cheese and beef dishes were exceptional and felt more German than anything. Service was exceptional and they easily accommodated a party of 10 when the yelp darlings nearby were 2 hour plus waits. read more

The outdoor cafe was great for people watching and the food was good. Their pizza is a south of France version with cheese and ham and a very thin crust with cream sauce. The wine was good and I recommend buying the bottle. A glass won't be enough so get the Rioja Calde Valdemare. read more

Ended up here on a Monday night after we found out at 10:30pm that our hotel restaurant was closed. We were offered a spot outside (last table available) but before we could even sit down another server told us no, and sat a couple had apparently been waiting inside for that table. We were a little pissed off, but hungry, so we went inside and we're seated right away. We ended up having burgers. They were good, fries were nice and hot. Fine spot to stop if you're in need of a casual/quick meal but there are better options in the city especially if you want the Spanish experience. read more

Stopped here tonight on our last night in Barca. We had the brei with honey on toast. Delicious. The slider burgers for my little girl. She didn't like the sauce so I ate them and I can tell you they were make with a high quality ground beef and we're also delicious. Stop in for a craft beer, but the food is average at best. The flank steak was mostly tasteless, though well cooked. Fries were tepid, soggy and not good.
