Catalunya tomato bread and goat cheese, apple and foie gras with balsamic reduction

Great little tapas bar with good food and wine! Very welcoming vibe with an American bistro feel to it! The kitchen opens until 11:30, which was a plus since we found this restaurant after an 8-hour fast! I loved the old school charm in the restaurant. We ordered 3-4 tapas to share plus a bottle of white wine to go with our meal! The food came out quickly given that the kitchen was closing. We ordered cheese with foie gras and pear, garlic mushrooms, Catalan tomato bread and a meat dish. Everything was very tasty and satisfying! I especially liked the tomato bread! The prices were very reasonable for the portions you get. Overall, this is a decent restaurant with good food for late night dining!

El Callejón... always a warm welcome, can't wait to come back!

Our favorite little accidental find! Back two years later to find the same fantastic staff and delicious bites... highest quality everything, lowest bill all trip. A must try!

    5 tapas dinner, great!

Fantastic tapas with a great price and taste. Drinks reasonably priced and made by a professional. You can enter the restaurant from two different streets. Worth going! Great atmosphere and service.

So I was going through my pics on the phone and came across these from Barcelona. This was the most delicious place that I ate at in Barcelona hands down. Believe it or not, I had a hard time finding good food. I ate here 3 nights in a row it was so good, I could not get enough! They had the juiciest tastiest estrana cut skirt steak that I've ever had in my life. I was running to this place every night ! No other steak has beat that steak since. Every time I eat a steak, I compare it and bring up this steak in conversation .. Hahaha I still remember it like it was yesterday. Served with chimichurri sauce, the best Papas Bravas with a spicy tomato sauce on top, and a side salad lightly dressed with a vinaigrette . We also ordered a side of sautéed mushrooms with parsley Yum! Great Mojitos, awesome Sangria! We did order other small things, I can't remember the names. My friends and I were usually having a blast drinking so.... U know how that goes:-) I just have to say again, Great Food, Awesome Friendly service! Not too many friendly places in Barcelona along with a handful of other European countries. I won't leave them out either.. But u definitely will find awesomeness here! It's a bit tricky to find.. It's in the side streets , don't give up.. Look! It's so worth it.

    Great find!

Do expect a wait time or enter their queue when it opens to expedite that process. We started there one night and there was a long line out the door. We decided not to wait as it was already midnight (late for us!) and come back the next night. I'm glad we did, because there was minimal line and we entered the queue before anyone else, so we were able to enter rather quickly. It was the coolest speakeasy vibe and fun ambiance. We sat at the bar and quickly observed the menu. The menu was lit up, which I thought was pretty unique. It took a little bit of time for the server to assist us, but it was evident she was super busy. My drink came in a skull with a "brain" that was actually edible sorbet. It was vodka and not too strong but also not too sweet. Honestly, I wish I had more! My husband ordered somewhat of an old fashion that he said was the best he ever had. Highly recommend if you're in Barcelona!

If you are into novelty cocktail bars, Paradiso is definitely a great place to check out! I arrived…read morearound 7pm to a decently sized line; my party of 2 didn't get seated until 30-45 minutes afterwards. I did read that there would be QR code for a virtual queue, but we didn't see that option and just ended up waiting in line ourselves. I was worried Paradiso would have a snobby vibe to it, since it is ranked #4 in the world, but that wasn't the case at all! The servers were very friendly and the cocktails were genuinely delicious. There's also a sense of theatre when they present you with their specialty cocktails. For example, I ordered the Gravity cocktail (reminiscent of an espresso martini), and our server brought it in an interesting bowl meant to mimic a black hole and also gave a little background story to the cocktail. They provide menus in Spanish, Catalan, and English. Servers also speak English as well, so communication is not an issue. The interior is gorgeous and and had great moody lighting, there was also a great playlist on with classic pop songs. Their cocktail menu is unique and as previously mentioned, I especially loved their presentation. Most of their drinks are served in some funky cup or bowl, it was so fun seeing the servers bring out other cocktails to other tables. Overall, a 5/5 experience for me!

Really enjoyed this bar and we can see why it's been named in the top 50 bars…read more The bartender was really engaging with the people which we enjoyed. The drinks were 8/10 The ambiance was generic but we had a good time. Definitely recommend trying it.

Wow did we want to give this place 5 stars…read more The bartenders were great and welcoming and the decor was very cool. It is a pleasant place to be physically. All of the cocktails we tried were excellent (we had two more not featured on photos here). We went Sunday 4/19 around open (5pm ish until 7:30 ish). However, our experience was sort of ruined when a female employee came over and chided my wife and two other American patrons we were talking to for being too loud. They weren't being particularly loud and at this point we were the only four people sitting at the bar itself. She was not a bartender (at that time at least) and she completely ruined our vibe with this complaint. She had been eyeing one of the other American patrons we had been talking to before she came over and confronted my wife after she laughed. The bar tenders didn't seem to be aware this happened and when we were closing out they remarked they didn't think we had been loud and that they like their guests to have fun. This female employee apparently didn't get the memo! We sense that perhaps she just dislikes Americans, which would be rich for working at an establishment like this! She also had no issues when a dog other guests brought in barked loudly multiple times, each time silencing the entire bar because the barks were so booming. The other American couple felt the same way -- the stern talking to just ruined the experience for all four of us. So... great spot but our experience was unnecessarily tarnished by a jerk employee!!!
