As a crafter this place is just filled with inspirations that I absolutely adore! With classic decor touches filled here and there the randomness is a fun that any local can admire and appreciate. Pottery, stickers, books, jewelry and hot sauce! Always support local and this place certainly does that follow them on Instagram @mori_hawaii or website morihawaii.com creativity comes in so many ways and thankfully we have Mori to showcase it for us to share. Thank you!!

Mori by Art+Flea advertises itself as "Hawaii's gathering place for creatives - a carefully curated selection of creative and artfully made products showcasing the talent abound in Hawaii." Simply put, Mori's Ward location is the culmination of artistic works curated by artists for everyday art enthusiasts. In my mind, Mori represents the Japanese wabi-sabi (侘寂) philosophy centered on embracing transcience and imperfection because items are nuanced and available in very limited quantities. Mori's the perfect spot to find memorable gifts for people who enjoy eclectic, local art. Without giving away any spoilers, the greeting card section features are few classics that are bound to leave an impression for those who want to convey a message minus the Shakespearean formality of a gas station salutation card. If you find yourself stuck on a few options at Mori, there's a lovely ice cream shop around the corner that's an ideal spot to mull over gift choices. You'll find plenty to enjoy at this creative spot sparking curiosity and joy.

I absolutely love this store filled with local artists clothing jewelry pottery cosmetics and other fun stuff! My most recent trip here I see they've really stocked up and have much more inventory. I had a great conversation with Todd who gave me information about upcoming events at Hisam the Hawaii State Art Museum where Mori by Art and Flea has a gift shop. Enjoy these photos of some of the fun products and clothing the store has to offer. Visit and purchase something for your next gift or Bday and feel good about buying local and supporting the creativity of local artists. PS my teenager even said some of the stuff was cool!

I really like that they have a variety of items that are wearable not only if you're visiting Hawaii on vacation but also things that you can take back home especially if you live in California or have a coastal beach style. Their jewelry selection is so cute lots of little island themed type jewelry that is sophisticated and dainty and not overly priced at all - very affordable. They also get new inventory quite often so it's great to be able to check them out if you're staying for a longer period of time to see if they have new items or if you're like me you may just be tempted to go back to make another purchase. Mahalo for the aloha Mahina!

I got a FE diaperbag as a gift but had NO IDEA how to use it - it's an older version with the bassinet attachment. It was from an aunty, NWOT, and I don't mind it didn't have tags, or that it's an older version. I've always been the kind of girlie to thrift shop because I'm not a fan of what the clothing industry has done to our planet. This is why we went to FE-Kapolei in the first place: for someone to help us figure out how to use this thing. Read my review for the Kapolei location to know what happens next. Anyways, since that first visit, I visited FE a bunch of times because of their baby clothes. One reason I'm also not a FE person is the prints are too much for me. Put it this way, the only print I would kind of consider wearing is the simple fish print in black, no other colors! And then next thing you know, there's also a baby section as well for my son! Having a baby changes you, I'll still thrift for my clothes, but I wouldn't mind getting my son the newest clothes from a locally owned, woman ran business. Also, I LOVE being able to text the store and reserve items, no driving all the way to find out it's not there! And the quality of the clothes is definitely there. Decided to buy a baby onesie for our family photos and another baby onesie for our friends who are pregnant. I know baby clothes don't last long, but I just couldn't help myself! Overall, I may only like a couple things from FE, but the fact that it's supporting local is a big plus for me! Also, the quality of the clothing is so great considering the price.

The jewelry items tarnish very quickly. I found a ring without a price tag in a bowl of rings clearly marked at $9. I even pointed out to the associate that the ring didn't have a tag. When I immediately returned the ring, I expected a refund since the pricing issue wasn't my fault. Instead, I was told I could only receive store credit. Requiring customers to accept store credit after the store overcharges them is poor customer service. If an employee makes a pricing error, the customer shouldn't be forced to spend more money at the same store. Unfortunately, customer satisfaction isn't a priority at this store, and I won't be returning.
