I've never experienced or heard of any issues related to theft, vandalism, or tenants being harmed. Aside from security gate entry and the Live On-Site Manager adding 24/7 security, one of many important amenities provided is the alarmed security system for each unit! As well, the units can accommodate the usage of double locks, be it Padlocks or Disc Padlocks, my preference is the use of Disc Padlocks. Also, there are cameras throughout the property that's monitored by the staff. West Coast Storage is a very secure place! Also, of importance is that the staff takes pride in the facility and their jobs. This storage place is always quiet and well-kept. My personality type is what some have called "Anal," because I am big on personal hygiene and the cleanliness of my place of residence, and I extend it outwards to the environment! I visit my unit regularly and I always see staff making regular rounds around the property to make sure it is clean and remains secure; they do this by walking and/or using the company's mobile device with cleaning supplies (broom, garbage can, etc.) on it. The facility is free of debris and thank God, free of rodents! Pest control maintenance is done regularly. West Coast Storage offers bathroom usage to the tenants and it's always clean and fully supplied. David and Tabitha are very professional, helpful, and customer-oriented, and they're quick to return phone calls. They are truly heartfelt people whom I absolutely adore! They run a smooth shift! They're very diligent about their work ethic; they have a deep commitment to their jobs. They focus on quality, and they're reliable and proactive, which is very refreshing! In my opinion, they're the heartbeat of this West Coast Storage facility! All aforementioned are important and add value to the business. I take my scalp off to West Coast Storage for seeing the value in David and Tabitha to have them on their team! Thank you!

My unit was overrun with rats, and the floor was so covered in feces that I couldn't take a step without stepping on it. The tops of my plastic bins were coated in droppings, and the edges of my furniture were chewed up. I had to throw away half of what I stored. When I reported this to the front office, their response was dismissive--they claimed they hadn't received any other complaints about rodents and assured me they use monthly exterminators. I asked for a broom to clean up the mess, took photos, and left with a carload of ruined belongings to dispose of at the dump. I also had renters insurance with $5,000 in coverage, but the adjuster informed me there's a specific clause for vermin damage capped at $400. Essentially, the insurance was useless in this situation. Rats even got into sealed moving boxes. Lesson learned--avoid this place at all costs.

Of course, Ophelia was very dismissive and then tried to go as far as blame us for the problem. When the other company ran this storage facility we didn't have any problems or issues whatsoever, and the grounds in general are disgusting. Ophelia is the worst manager I and my husband has ever dealt with and that doesn't even start to cover the way she is. She's very unprofessional, argumentative, and verbally combative. The unit that we had is actually supposed to be temperature controlled which of course she denied that any type of cooling unit or units were even on the property. We know for a matter of fact that there are swamp coolers in our unit as the other company actually had them operational when needed. Even in Stockton with it's 100+ degree weather the previous manager made sure she ran the coolers so our stuff wouldn't get ruined. This company needs to fire Ophelia and her staff as the majority of them have attitudes and then act like they are answering and talking back to you when you aren't even talking to them while on the phone and discussing things with another person. We have never not had renter's insurance and they were constantly asking for copies of our policy and then stating that they will charge us extra if we don't show them. Our unit was the largest one they have as we had 3 households in one unit. Unfortunately, when I checked the regular prices it was almost $150 more than what my husband and I were paying for our unit as we were paying $395 for a 10x28. They also don't believe in being godfathered into the situation and seeing we had been there for so long thought they had the right to raise the storage fee continuously. I have never been so disgusted with the laziness or lack of professionalism in my life a long with staff trying to get with my husband knowing that he is with me. So in conclusion whatever you do don't go to the Storquest Self Storage on E March Lane in Stockton as they are the worst storage company you could imagine to work with. Deuces and good riddance.

And to top it off I have to be the one to clean it / the unit and I have to be the one to haul it all away.....smh

SMART STOP SELF STORAGES' lack of basic customer service skills, procedures, professional management, procedure protocol and lack of respect was senseless. Due to the negligence and lack of interest from corporate management, REGGIE VENABLE AND JACOB RODREGOUS The site manager was on able to assist my in any wasy I am experiencing needless significant personal losses. My locker was robbed in November 2023, due to a lack of security. I am told the staff on site is not able to investigate the alarm sounding. SSSS policy is not to investigate, they assume it was an animal tripping the alarm. The police are never called, no police reports are ever taken. I pay for a 24/7 security service and expect it to be provided. I was told not one of the 9 cameras on the property was functioning. The property entrance, storage rows and fence line were not being recorded by surveillance cameras no security guards or dogs on the property for live time responses. The Sentury Executive Gun Safe and its valuable contents was stolen in its entirety. In November 2023 my locker was also crashed into by 2 cars. The door was mangled, exposing the contents of the locker to severe storm categorized weather conditions. Extreme winds and exceptionally intense rainfall invaded my locker. This created extreme damage. The locker was open to the weather for 4 months. The rear wall of my locker was cut open by a vandal to create an entrance / exit. My locker was invaded by rats, cats, and homeless people, water an wind. They ALL took my locker as their home for four months. They left large amounts of urine, poop, spit and general destruction. My entire locker was ransacked. My boxes were tipped over, opened with the contents broken, stolen, urinated on and pooped on for four months. SMART STOP SELF STORAGES' lack of basic customer service skills and procedures cost me a substantial personal loss, mentally, emotionally and financially. No professional management protocol was available. Four months of neglect made a bad situation worse. The site manager was not able to assist me in any way due to a lack of training in loss prevention and protocol. Corporate management guidelines are vague and useless to the site manager and customers. Due to the negligence and lack of interest from corporate, regional mgr., claim department and the district mgr. the damage to my personal property grew more intense as time was wasted senselessly. At the very least I expected a phone call or email to apologize and explain the plan to repair the damage to my property. November 2023, 3 lockers were damaged. My locker was crashed into by 2 cars. The door was mangled, exposing the contents of the locker to severe storm categorized weather conditions. Extreme winds and exceptionally intense rainfall invaded my locker. This created extreme damage. I had to dispose of quite a bit. The smell of human waste, and the urine, poop and rotting food was unbearable. Think for yourself - WOULD I WANT TO DO THIS - REMOVING HUMAN POOP. The locker was open to the weather for 4 months. Water damage occurs fast, which creates mold, mildew and general destruction. SMART STOP SELF STORAGES' lack of basic customer service skills and procedures cost me a substantial personal loss, mentally, emotionally and financially. No professional management was available. Four months of neglect made a bad situation worse. The site manager was not able to assist me in any way due to a lack of training, communication, guidance & support from Jacob Rodrigues. His refusal to acknowledge her plea for help & guide her in the direction of loss prevention & theft report protocol. Corporate management does not provide guidelines on theft report submission. Due to the negligence and lack of interest from corporate, regional and district management the damage to my personal property grew more intense as time was wasted. Smart Stop' district manager DISTRICT MGR. JACOB RODREGUIS was not interested in escalating this situation to the proper management or department for support and guidance. Numerous attempts to contact him went unrecognized. In calling corporate several times, asking for help, went unrecognized. Not one call was repeated. The claims department TERRI (?) did not respond to any of my requests for communication support. All requests & attempts for communication and guidance over 4 months were ignored by all levels of management. This venue will not allow me to continue my long post. Please take my warning words seriously
