The place is decked out with moose heads on the wall and log cabin feel. The floor was sticky . Our server Joni was fantastic. We had the wonton nachos and it was great. The southwest soup is to die die. We had the fish and chip, not as good as I hoped for so maybe don't get the fish. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich was a must! You won't regret it.

They gave me two sides of beans instead of one side plus an order of onion rings and they corrected it immediately when I let them know inside. Three small cups of meat plus the two sides for just under $28 which is really expensive for the really chopped brisket and pulled pork I got. Very nice place on the inside and the female brunette server was also very nice and accommodating. The beans were not tasty. The brisket was nice and fatty. The meat came with NO SAUCE therefore I am super confused as to how this place is a barbecue slinging restaurant with sauceless meat? The pulled pork was like already chewed up meat shreds and without any sauce literally had no flavor at all and was rather dry. Yikes. On the flip side, the the light airy crispy onion rings are some of the best I've ever had! Surprisingly greasy and delicious, they really salvaged an otherwise bummer of a meal.

Drive past this place often. Stopped in for my Birthday dinner. Vittoria was our server. She explained everything on the menu. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was very nice. Love the decorations on the walls. The place was very clean. Highly recommended. Will be back.

The picture below was $36 to feed 2-4 people those little cups are the Mac and Cheese and Baked Beans! The other little cups are the pulled meat ! And to make it worse no corn bread!

This is the 2nd time I have come here the first time wasn't great and neither was this time. First we sat at our table for at least 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Waited over an hour for our food to come out. We ordered the poutine, a chicken salad, and Buffalo wings. We asked for ranch for the salad and wings they brought blue cheese out. We told the waitress she said she was going to grab us some. We watched as she took orders at two tables and waited another 15 minutes before she finally brought us ranch., which tasted like soap. The wings came out with no sauce on them. The sauce was on the side. When I asked why the wings were not coated the waitress said the kitchen was slammed and didn't have time to coat them. They also gave us one cup of sauce for 12 wings. I gave this place a 2nd chance because I heard good things about it. I will not be back.

    Moose Head Cobb Salad

My mind was made up! I was going to order the Moose Head Cobb Salad. The server came up to us and asked if we read the board with the specials. I almost said please no! I wanted to avoid the temptation. So she started talking about the burger and mushrooms and went onto the other specials. After the burger everything went dark, I was zoned into the burger. After an internal struggle I ordered the Moose Head Cobb Salad, after all it's what I had stated I would order. The server was professional, kind, and took our salad order. Food came out quickly, which I am thankful for. No time to change my mind. This salad is ENORMOUS! It's topped with a chicken breast on a bed of salad, fresh bacon, black olives, egg, shredded cheese, red onions and bleu cheese, I ordered a side of ranch. The atmosphere was quiet so I was able to catch up with my friend. I ate the entire salad, my friend had to pack the rest away. This is probably my second to third best Cobb Salad. I wish I could sub with Feta Cheese. So this experience was good, I was proud I ordered what I went there for. I did dream about the burger. The BBQ looked and smelled great. May 2019 Had my Cobb Salad!

Jeremy was our server, and was friendly, knowledgeable, and handled my gluten allergy without batting an eye. The food? Our selections were off the chain. We started with the deviled eggs - extremely creamy; a little kick; topped with a crisp cornichon. We had 4 different varieties of oysters -- all perfectly chilled and served with both cocktail and a green sauce mignonette, with plenty of lemon. Now for the showstoppers -- I had the N'awklins shrimp and grits. Oh my! The shrimp were nestled on top of the silky cheddar grits, and blackened - seasoned beautifully and cooked just right - not mushy or chewy. But the star? The broth! Tomato based, the depth of flavor was unexpected, and so good, I could have eaten a bowl of just that. My husband had Cioppino, which I could not taste due to GF. His description -- the broth was rich and thick -- not like a typical cioppino broth. It was was chock full of seafood -- very hearty -- with mussels; shrimp; calamari; clams, and just a touch of heat. The bread was also a standout -- baked to order, and then charred. You may want an extra piece of bread, he wants me to tell you! Really -- go to Salty Mary's, ask for Jeremy, and stuff yourself silly. You won't regret it.

As a Pescetarian in Northeast Ohio I have meaning to try Jolly Roger Seafood House for a while,…read morewell I finally got there and the big question is why I waited so long. Jolly Roger is located in Port Clinton right on Lake Erie; I was expecting something ordinary or just a bit dated and boy was I wrong. The building is very modern and clean from the outside, white and angular with big windows. Inside white walls, rough hewn wooden tables and just the right amount of decor makes for a modern seaside feel, casual but also classy. The setup is fast casual, you order and pay up front at the counter, get a number for your table and then get your own drink at the service station. The menu is understandably very heavy on fish and seafood with a couple of other items. While there are the expected fried fish meals, but also oysters, shrimp and salmon, salads and even some tacos. The reason I came was of course for the fried fish, I decided on the Perch and Chips, which is $18. I grabbed some water, hot sauce and lemon and settled onto a table. The meal was brought out fresh and hot by a food runner in a couple of minutes. The meal was 4 nice sized perch fillets on top of a generous portion of fresh waffle fried potatoes with a side of tarter sauce. The fish were excellent, fresh and perfectly fried with a nice crispy cornmeal crust around the delicately fish; moist with a slight sweetness and perfect texture. The waffle fries were exceptional, fried to a crisp outside and tasty inside; usually fries at a seafood place are an afterthought, here they actually are well worth getting and eating. Even the tarter sauce was very nice, nothing special but creamy with a nice pickle contrast to add a little extra flavor. Usually when I see a place that has been around this long and has great reviews I am a bit let down when I give them a try; Jolly Rogers Seafood House exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Although set up as a fast casual restaurant with a typical fried seafood menu, the actual restaurant feels more upscale and modern with a great inside and a very nice patio looking out onto Lake Erie. The food is not cutting edge, but it is expertly prepared and delicious. Prices are moderate with large portions for your money. Some of the best fried perch and waffle fries I have had. I will be back any time I am in the area, a very high recommendation as long as you are looking for fish or seafood, go and enjoy.

While they will have a full service bar, they currently do not have an alcohol license and they do not entertain BYOB. It has the potential of a wonderful ambiance, but it's not there yet. This is a new establishment and are having some growing pains or kinks. For example, the bathrooms are at the end of a long hall, just past the back door of the kitchen. Unfortunately, the bussing station is back there too. It was hard to get past. This was a Saturday afternoon and the place was not busy. The bathroom wile nice needed a good cleaning. We will be back. Hope the kinks get worked out. Good luck.
