It's frustrating that as busy as this place is they can't have a host seat people. Customers come in from several directions hovering over tables making it terribly uncomfortable. Then you get two people that sit at a six top table and screw a larger party and the server of the table. It creates frustration for those eating and those wanting to eat. read more

Since the expansion on the restaurant, they have made a huge improvement! We usually stop in once a month and it's never a disappointment. The burgers are my favorite, but we've also had subs, Mac and cheese and pizza. read more

Food is average... we eat here now and then. The salads are really good, and fresh... staffing seems sparse. Long wait time.

Doings a tour of different pubs in the area. Tried Ziggy's twice now and won't be going back, at least not for food. It's big (though you have to find your own table and hover over people who look like they are almost done, food court style), and the beer was fine but the...the pizza was a frozen pizza, the boneless chicken wings were tiny circles with boring sauce, a third of the mozzarella sticks had the fry outside but no cheese. On a busy night, the service was really good. There were three of us and we all ordered something different but everyone really enjoyed their food. There are plenty of tvs to watch sports and there was a really good crowd there too. The menu has a very good selection of food and everyone can find something they will like. If you're in the mood for good bar food, Ziggy's is a great place to try. They have great burgers, sandwiches and meals. Their chips and dip appetizer is really good and worth ordering, great fries, onion rings, stuffed mushrooms and other appetizers. A few vegetarian options but not a lot. Not a place to eat if you're looking for something healthy, but if you're indulging and want some good fatty food, it's tasty. Service is usually good sometimes slow but it depends on how crowded it is. read more

Was in town visiting before a baseball game. Arrived early so needed somewhere to go. Glad I picked here. I learned from the bartender that Ziggy's has been there since the 80s. It seems to have a great following. The location itself was unique in that it is in the "downtown" area of Amherst. It has tons of tables (maybe too close to each other), and an upstairs for overflow when busy. They also have a party room area upstairs that can be booked for events. A wall of TVs greets you upon arrival. Can't imagine how fun it would be for football season. Drinks were reasonably priced, as well as the food. Nothing seemed out of place price wise. Very comparable to other similar type locations. I didn't eat, but I asked a couple of people what they thought of the food. A couple mentioned that this is their place to go to since everything is great. I saw a couple of pizzas walk out of the kitchen and they looked great. Party of three on a Friday night so it was busy. Ordered southern egg rolls, two burgers and buffalo chicken mac & cheese. All of it was subpar at best. Took over an hour to get our food and the bill was over $70. Waitress was not attentive and had no personality. Would not return. read more

Ziggy's is an Amherst staple and I always enjoy myself when I go here! I last visited Ziggy's this past Monday, and while my food was good, some of my family's orders were delivered incorrectly. The service can definitely be hit or miss here, but overall, I always have a good time here. read more

Stopped here while traveling. Amazed to get the Monday special, a delicious 12ozsteak and potato deal for only $11! Shared a generously portioned side salad with my lunch partner to round out the meal. Efficient, polite server. read more

Stopped here on our way home from Cleveland. We had a rack of ribs. They were awesome! Recommend.

Great service and good portions. We took our young children here to eat. Instead of ordering off the kids menu they wanted perch. We ordered an adult meal for them to share. Plenty of food and they loved the fries. I also tried the pierogis. Great portion for the meal and side. Lots of tvs to watch sporting events. Overall and enjoyable experience. read more

Best spot in Amherst! Right downtown where there is plenty of parking within reasonable walking distance. Food is always good! Start with some fresh made pork rinds with Cajun seated get the dip! They have such a diverse menu and everything is very good! They recently expanded in order to serve more people! You really can't go wrong with any choice! They have done an excellent job of carving out a neighborhood bar feel with a great menu! Plenty of TV's to watch the game! One of our favorite spots! read more

They are re modeling and going to open Duck Pin Bowling. They will have outside seating this summer also.

Just took someone to Ziggy's for the first time an they WON'T be back. Self seating so we sat by the bar. Watched others get menus/drinks without an acknowledgment that we were even there. Excellent beer selection, cute town, nice food. This place is hopping! We started with the poppers, jalapeños were pickled and you get 1/2 stuffed with cheddar. Ok, but I like fresh. This is a cool pub. We were traveling through the area and decided to stop in and have lunch.. I was really surprised to see some of the menu choices. Which really are homestyle food, not pub food. One of the lunch specials was stuffed cabbage, which is a favorite of mine. But unfortunately, we weren't there on the right day. I had the pierogis and when was chicken wings and both of them were very tasty. The people there were welcoming the service was good and I really liked the atmosphere. To start we made reservations weeks in advance to do duck pin bowling for an hour. Followed by dinner with a larger group afterwards. They told us this was not a problem and we would have reservations in the bowling area followed by reservation in the bar so we could all eat together. When we started bowling we had a table in the bowling area which is o my for people when bowling. The waitress then told us we could not have a reservation in the main dining area for our larger group an hour later. We told her we were given reservations weeks in advance. The manager then got involved and would not honor the reservation. We were also told we had to move from the table in the bowling area by 7. Some people that were there just for dinner secured a nearby table in the dining area but it was too small for the whole group. We then ordered food which took 45 minutes to arrive. Right before the food came out a table by the rest of our group opened up and we moved so we could all be together. Well the food that came out was average at best. Wings were ordered crispy but they were not and had the wrong sauce on them. My rueben had a teaspoon of kraut on it at best. I asked for more kraut asking pointing out the one side didn't even have kraut. The manager who was at this point the waitress for us acted like this was normal amount. She then brought out some ice cold kraut for the sandwich which by the way was only grilled on one side. I will not be back. So many other places to go to that have excellent t food and service unlike Ziggys crappy food and poor argumentative service. read more

The customer service is stellar; the food surpasses amazing. The cocktails are even better. The 'ambience' is a very nice blend. All ages except minors after certain hours. The music is diverse on different nights. Which is nice. It speaks to ALL age groups. The pin-bar is as nostalgic as it gets. The PIZZA. Oh my. I've not had one slice that does not appeal to the palette. Not ONE. Trust me; you'll be hooked. These are real people with real caring kindness and friendliness. On our way home I came across this place on yelp. Walk in and the place is busy (OSU) game. Quickly got a table. Appetizers , and food came out quick for how busy they were. Food was excellent. We have always had amazing food here except for today , I ordered a grilled chicken salad and the wife a grilled chicken wrap , both looked amazing but the chicken was the stuff out of a bag .
