I'm a 40-going-on-50-something and tried this place which is in the old Captain Larry's space. If you are a local, this is your kind of place: definitely a working class crowd here in early April. I imagine it will be just as solid in the summers during boating/vacation season. The prices are dirt cheap, the service is off the chain, the music is perfect for my generation and the wings were phenom! For a bonus: try the fried mushrooms. The mango habanero aioli was to die for. Mixed drinks are fairly priced and well made. We plan on being regulars here! Be careful Rudy's! You have some ompetition in town! I'm looking at some of these one star reviews and calling BS. You give a place a one star review after meeting there and only having a glass of water? C'mon man. Be reasonable. I added a star to my review to compensate for that ridiculousness.

$9.00 bucks for the perch sandwich and well worth it.

Great neighborhood bar feel with really good food and friendly bartenders…read more I had a burger, 1/2 lb done perfectly with onion rings that were excellent. Last time the onion rings were a little oily, yesterday they were perfect. Our adult daughter just had fried pickles, she said they were great. Perfect batter to pickle ratio and they were spears not rounds which made them great for dipping. Wife had a lake erie perch sandwich, she said it was amazingly good. Busy place, but the kitchen was kerping up about 7:30 on a Friday night. I highly recommend Rudy's especially if your in from out of town.

The food was very good. The server was excellent. Drinks and food were delivered in good time…read more BUT...minus one star because this is one of a growing number of restaurants that have begun adding 3.00% to the bill for using a credit card...and it's insulting! Credit and Tap to Pay are the standard these days - who carries cash? Servers expect tips off of the total including tax instead of the subtotal (which I struggle with a bit but always use that total @ 20%). Now it's subtotal + tax + CC surcharge. My first instinct is to tip 17% and tell the server her boss took part of her tip. Goodness gracious restaurant owners!!! Charge $12.59 for your $10.95 chicken salad wrap and stop adding one more level of complexity to the process. It's not a lot of money but a silly little add-on line item to the bill for using a standard method of payment is, in principle, ridiculous.

The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and even know the history of where the classic cocktails and even the liquors/liqueurs originated. If you're a lover of cocktails, PLEASE do not pass this place up. It is the most friendly environment I have ever experienced; welcoming people from ALL walks of life. As soon as you walk through the door, you are treated like family. I have traveled the world looking for great cocktails and these guys are hands-down the absolute BEST at what they do.

This spot gives off a sleek speakeasy feel--dark, moody, and elevated by stunning artwork. The dim lighting sets the perfect ambiance, making it an ideal place to unwind with a drink in hand. Speaking of drinks, the menu offers a solid selection of specialty cocktails, but if you're feeling adventurous, the bartender is happy to whip up something just for you. Just a heads-up--they don't serve food, so plan accordingly. I sipped on a crisp sparkling wine, and the elegant stemware with a twist of lemon was a classy touch. If you're looking for a stylish, intimate spot to enjoy well-crafted drinks, this is it!
