Absolutely A+, five stars! Edacious is absolutely fantastic! This is a nice place. The food has all been first rate, I went there to get the Smashburger on deal. During happy hour it's 12 bucks and that's a great burger. They have Busch light for $1.50 it's unbelievable. You can do that every weekday, they're not open on Sunday, and save some money. The entrées get up there around $24 and all the ones I've had have been fantastic. today I did the roasted chicken $24, and it was so good I cried. great mushroom flavor & maybe a soy sauce type on the chicken sauté. it was so good. Wow! Next time in, I will try the lamb meatballs. They do the thing where you get the tinned fish of your choice, they have several varieties & they pair that with all the accoutrements it's quite a nice appetizer. It's really a nice restaurant, on the small side so make a rezzie if you feel like it. They have some outdoor seating, I haven't used it, but it's popular. The bartenders are great, Emma, Corryn & Bridget. The chef is a star, maybe they have a couple, anyway the food is great. I had a poutine special last week. My brother loved one of the big salads. This place is ridiculously good. We grabbed seats at the bar like we usually do on a Saturday night and left completely satisfied. It's a true hidden gem, perfect size, a TV behind the bar, great bourbons, and a menu built for sharing. The portions are just right if you want to order a few different dishes and split them. We're already looking forward to going back, especially to see Emma, she made the whole experience even better, which isn't always easy to find these days. Pro tip: get there early if you want the specials, because they go fast (for good reason). And don't skip the tuna appetizer--we ordered it by accident and were blown away. So I made a reservation a week in advance just because when I called they said they were up in the air about Cleveland's "Burger Week" well I finally made it a week later and they were participating in burger week, so I order a cocktail and appetizer and some baked oysters, and everything from the bartenders to the staff to I the food, was great. What a great place in Avon Lake kind of a word-of-mouth place. We had heard about the Smashburger and I saw a picture of it online and it delivered. It looked like a Smashburger should with a smashed patty with crusty caramelized ends on a fluffy bun with special sauce. A top 10 burger for me and we got the Shishido peppers because we will always get Shishido peppers at every restaurant just to try their presentation and this was a tasty dish. I was watching the food come out and everything that came out of the kitchen looked like it was a well crafted well-thought-out and plated generously. Including the bar or the restaurant might serve 40 to 45 people and and I think it's a perfect size for this sort of menu. There are some high-end items and then some lower priced items we felt comfortable wearing jeans and not T-shirts and we look forward to trying some of their specials. I give High recommendation to the Smashburger and the Shishido's along with some of the best service that we could get and my wife Wife was already talking about when we could return. Didn't snap any photos of my food, but definitely my favorite espresso martini in the area. I've been a few times and have always had a great experience. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so sometimes it can be harder to get a table, but it adds to the cozy cocktail bar vibe. Their menu is always changing, and the chef prioritizes local, fresh items. There's always something unique and different on the menu. The bread is locally made and a must try. We went to Edacious for dinner while in town visiting my sister, who made a reservation for five of us. Though the space is on the smaller side, the five of us comfortably fit in the booth table by the bar. It was definitely on the busy side though and the table before us was running long, so they set us all up at the bar and got us some lovely cocktails while we waited. They were really communicative and checked in with us to let us know the status of our table. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Though there were a few vegetarian options on the menu, my sister asked on our behalf if anything else could be made vegetarian - not only could a couple of things be modified, but the chef was game to make us something off menu. So of course, I went with dealer's choice and the chef made a delicious, flavorful pasta dish. Also, we started with the bread board and I will be dreaming about it for a while. It was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to visiting again next time we're in town. read more

Love this little gem in Avon Lake. It's the perfect date night spot and the food is always on point. Make a reservation though as it's small and they get very busy. This last visit we did not have a reservation but we could sit at the bar ( last two seats ) - the bread service........ORDER IT!!! The shashito peppers--- order these two! I was disappointed in the chips with the chips & dip- I feel like a place as this should serve thick cut homemade warm chips but these were kettle chips out of a bag. We ordered the filet and the chicken kebab and ohhhh emmmm geeeee. The sauces and accompanying items with the kebab were luck your plate clean good. The filet was perfectly seared and the crispy potatoes with it were on point. So, the dishes are not huge but they are perfectly prepared. The ambience is great. It's small and cozy- I like going here when it's winter or fall. They do have a tiny patio for warmer weather dining although I've never seen anyone on the back patio. Had reservation on there web site and when we went in they stated they didn't have it , even after showing them the confirmation they basically stated sorry about you luck and didn't make any effort to rectify the situation . Even spoke with a manager and gave us a BS story and he didn't do any thing not even sorry we will try to fix this !!! This is a great restaurant! My husband and I had dinner with two other couples. Seated right away, server was conscientious, and got us drinks while we waited for the rest of the party (I'm always early!). We had wine and beer, though the cocktail menu looks awesome! When everyone arrived, we started with bread service and raw oysters. The breads were excellent - focaccia and a pepperoni bread - with whipped ricotta and herbed olive oil for dipping. Oysters tasted very fresh, with good salinity - I said I could taste the ocean. My husband had the Wagyu brisket with pomegranate molasses, pimento cheese, roasted corn and mustard seed. The meat was tender and tasty, and the pimento cheese with the roasted corn almost gave creamed corn vibes in a cool new way! I had the lamb burger... so tasty! It also seemed like half the restaurant was ordering it - clearly a fave! Only drawbacks - one the restaurant can control, one they can't: 1. The lamb burger is AWESOME, and deserves a better side than potato chips (if it needs to be chips, either go house-made or something other than plain potato) 2. With the front open, motorcycles cruising Lake Road on a nice summer evening can make conversation difficult. We will return to try more of the menu and some cocktails! read more

We've been going to Edacious since it first opened. At that time everything on the menu that we tried was fantastic. They change the menu periodically - a good thing, I like variety - but the quality has changed a lot, not in a good way. Every now and then we try a special, like last night, but they are always disappointing now. The only thing that is consistently great is the smash burger. We used to be regulars. We were invited to dinner at Edacious in a whim and it was fantastic. Jonathan was a top notch server, attentive and informed about everything on the menu and the wine selection. Each appetizer was amazing, we sampled: the baked oysters in Asiago and Parmesan, blistered shashito peppers, bread service, chips and dip and mustardy steak tartare. The tartare is a highest recommend. Our party had several different mains with the favorites being the filet and the rigatoni in Sunday Sauce. I Yelped smash burgers near me and this place showed up. Has to be one of the best smash burgers I ever had. A little heat and the side of potatoes were awesome.
