First of all, they know how to brew good beer. Great selection and love just about all of them…read more Anyway, the hostesses are very friendly. The whole dinner experience starts there, so kudos to the seating staff. Food is pub food, so take that in account. It's all pretty good, but nothing amazing there. Still I always enjoy whatever I order. From the one-time that I ordered dessert, I can't say I was impressed. The pie seemed like it is really just some frozen pie bought at the local grocery store, so can't expect anything amazing there. Last trip we ordered the brewed root beer. It came flat and warm, so that alone was disappointing considering it is brewed there. The place is pretty good sized and really loud. Almost enough to make it annoying for some, but I guess that's expected when you have a room full of people drinking beer. Service was decent. Again not great but okay. Takes a while to flag down our waitress, but nothing too crazy long, but if I wasn't drinking beer, I might feel otherwise, so that should be considered. Overall, a pretty decent time every time we go. We have been a handful of times, so clearly we enjoy it and maybe I'm being a little nitpicking in this review. However I return mostly for the beer, and in my opinion, that's enough for me. My wife isn't quite as excited to go since she doesn't drink beer. Anyway, I urge everyone to check it out.

Fat Heads Brewery and Saloon - A rare find...most places have pickle chips but they have pickle spears, with a side of spicy ranch.

Fat Heads Brewery and Saloon - My Bob & Martha looked so good when it was served, I didn't remember to take a picture till it was in the box.

I tasted them at Iron Mann in Girard. Shout out to those guys for having this extensive selection, along with great, friendly service I'd say check out 1547 wherever you find them and see how your tastes compare to mine... My impression of the beers (always a subjective matter, of course) went down something like this: 1400 Miles From Home - a Key Lime Sour. Very light sour, to my liking, with all of the flavors in the description working together quite nicely Kolsch - another light version of this style. It is a good summer beer for someone who wants a little more flavor than a Bud/Coors/Miller Ohio Heat Wave - subtle habanero on the back end slowly builds, but that's about the only thing I'm picking up. This is a very light beer Hang 11 - a sweet IPA? The bitterness is as advertised. Would love to know the hops involved. Very drinkable, but don't expect a mouthful of IPA. More like a sweet, session IPA in my opinion Shooktown NE IPA - first taste hit very nice. Like most of them, it tastes very close to the description. No bitterness, but like others on the flight, it's a light version of this style. I'm used to a more potent hit of juice from a NE IPA, it's drinkable for sure

Aaron has built more than a brewery here; he's built a community. One of my favorite things about Planted Flag is the meaning behind the name. Aaron chose "Planted Flag" because he wanted everyone who walked through the doors to feel like they could plant their flag, claim a space, feel at home, and become part of the family. And that's exactly what it feels like. Whether you stop in once or you're a regular, you're welcomed like you've been here for years. The beer is excellent, the atmosphere is inviting, and the sense of belonging is unmatched. Planted Flag Brewery isn't just a great place to grab a pint... it's a place where community grows, friendships form, and everyone is invited to be part of the story. Highly recommend stopping by--you won't want to leave.

Beer, cider, wine, seasonal type mixed drinks. I had the Ethel's apple pie cider. It's a sweet cider tasted like apple pie with cinnamon. Super good. $7 for 16oz. My friend doesn't like beer or cider and she wasn't sure on the wines so she got a rum and coke. Which was your average rum and coke. We sat at the bar. Bartenders were super nice and helpful. The seats are not comfy. They are those metal stools and chairs. No cushion at all. So if you sit a bit your butt will hurt. Just so you know. Nice stop for a quick drink to pass some time. They have TV's going and it's kinda open with the beer tanks along the side. Definite repeat. Maybe try some food next time.
