Our rental property's patio and screen doors were in dire need of maintenance, and the entire process with Mike was painless. Mike inspected the property same-day, provided detailed estimates for track tuning & screen door replacements, and followed-up promptly. Other companies that we made appointments with didn't even bother to show up (*ahem* Acme *ahem*). On the day of repair, Mike showed up on-time, and performed the work efficiently and thoroughly. We were so happy with the tune-up he performed on one sliding door, that we asked him to do the same for the other door, which was not originally planned. He also replaced a screen door with a premium quality unit to replace the flimsy, builder-installed unit. This is the third time I have used Moore Replacements to perform repairs at my mothers home. Like before an appointment was set, the tech was on time, inspected the dog door damage and headed out since part's had to be ordered. Once the parts came in the repairs only took 45 minutes or so to complete. I was only charged one service call which was cool. The tech was clean and very professional while at the house. If there was one down fall, it's was the time it took to order the part's (3 weeks). I called Mike Moore after a couple of week to inquire on the part's. He informed me the items I needed did not make the minimum order from the supplier so he had waited to add my items to another larger order. That was a very understandable reason, so no foul. I can't attest to their quality of work.... however what I can say is they clearly aren't looking for new customers. I submitted a request for a French door replacement on 9/13. Received an email from Mike Moore Sr on 9/14 scheduling an appointment for 9/15 between 9-10. 9/15 no call no show. I sent an email on 9/15 at 11 to see if perhaps they were running late and would still be coming. Never heard from them again. If this is indicative of their work after contracts are signed, I would advise to stay away. Was looking forward to getting a quote as they have such great reviews, unfortunately this was not my experience with this company. read more

Needed new sliding glass closet doors after a remodel. Called a couple places and most just asked for dimensions over the phone and gave me a generic quote. Mike Moore offered to come out to my place (the only business that offered) to show me samples, measure the openings, check if they were plumb...stuff that you'd expect from a professional who knew what they were doing. We talked samples, he gave me the pros and cons of each choice. I settled on a door style and requested a quote. Quote came back and the prices were excellent. Scheduled the job with Mike and he was very flexible and accommodated my schedule. I meet Mike at my place on my lunch break (he was early which was cool). I make lunch and he sets up shop, turns on his iPod, we talk about our love for Boston's self titled album, I take off back to work. I come home and the garage where he worked is spotless, an invoice is on my coffee table, and a free bottle of professional grade glass cleaner is in my bedroom. This business is great quality. I called for help, and they had someone come out the very next day to service the door. My sliding glass door was stuck due to an old lock that had shifted. They had the door open in minutes, and spent the time to adjust the lock to work perfectly. They took the time to show me how the lock works due to a tricky adjustment to an old lock. They also cleaned the track, and lubricated the wheels, now it slides so easily and is better than ever. The whole job took less than 45 minutes. They were friendly and courteous. When my son shattered the glass on our patio door, we went to Lowe's and were quoted $1700 to replace the door and glass. According to them, you can't just fix the glass--and it was going to take about a month for the installation. Ha! I called Mike (and super-nice assistant Donna) and they brought someone over within two days and did the glass installation right there on the spot (on Easter weekend no less!). Moore Replacements responded quickly to my query. I thought they were coming out just for an estimate and to check for needed parts. However, they were able to make "temporary" repairs to our dual-pane aluminum windows (we couldn't open them) and to instruct us on minor fixes we can do ourselves. They were honest in telling us we had some time left but would have to replace the windows with the newer technology of vinyl in the near future. There was no hard sell for windows at this time, however, we shall be contacting Moore Replacements when we do make the change. We are getting a new screen door from Moore Replacements. Was having an issue with my sliding glass door and spent about 3 hours over the course of a week on the phone with the manufacturer. I thought the door was bowed as it made a terrible noise every time it closed. I needed to pull out the trailing edge due to the plastic trim on the slider hitting the plastic trim on the stationary door. I called Mike as he's been out before to repair the latch and he came right over. He took a look and went and got his hammer. A few taps here and there and the door works perfectly again. He showed me where the plastic casing had separated due to the interlocking tabs that he resecured with his hammer. I had talked to a few sliding glass shops and one recommended replacing the entire door for $2200! My first and only call should have been to Mike at Moore Replacements.
