We'll it is true. I was going to replace two sliding glass patio doors and screens. The one leading to the outside door had over the last two years consumed 2 cans of WD 40, and I could no longer open it with one hand. I had two estimates that were in the range of $5,000! I broke my patio door glass panel. Called the manufacture's local agent, Renewal by Anderson. They were not very helpful or concerned about my problem. I was very disappointed we spent more on these windows and patio door than 4 other bids. Thinking they would live up to their word. They promised that if there was a problem with the windows they would repair and help us. They referred us to another repair firm. I could not believe that they would send us to another company since we spent so much money on their product. No one could help us for 4 to 6 wks. I got these guys number off Yelp. They were in my area and had some other good reviews. I got 2 new screen doors, one off my Kitchen and one on my front door. I was very pleased with the quality of the doors. So nice and durable and good style. Definitely worth the money vs doing it myself. Way better then a DIY Home Depot job for sure! I appreciated that it was not a "made up" cost based on my neighborhood or where I live. It was a two step process to get my new patio sliding door. I can't attest to their quality of work.... however what I can say is they clearly aren't looking for new customers. I submitted a request for a French door replacement on 9/13. Received an email from Mike Moore Sr on 9/14 scheduling an appointment for 9/15 between 9-10. 9/15 no call no show. I sent an email on 9/15 at 11 to see if perhaps they were running late and would still be coming. Never heard from them again. If this is indicative of their work after contracts are signed, I would advise to stay away. Mike did a fantastic job in making our patio door slide like butter. He has to return to finish the job because he didn't bring the correct roller parts but making the appointment again is a breeze with Nancy. Also note that he comes earlier or right on time for the appointed time, which is good ... but I did missed him on the first visit. I also love that he made all the adjustments to the door and not just there to change the rollers. This is the third time I have used Moore Replacements to perform repairs at my mothers home. Like before an appointment was set, the tech was on time, inspected the dog door damage and headed out since part's had to be ordered. Once the parts came in the repairs only took 45 minutes or so to complete. I was only charged one service call which was cool. The tech was clean and very professional while at the house. If there was one down fall, it's was the time it took to order the part's (3 weeks). I called Mike Moore after a couple of week to inquire on the part's. He informed me the items I needed did not make the minimum order from the supplier so he had waited to add my items to another larger order. That was a very understandable reason, so no foul. Our rental property's patio and screen doors were in dire need of maintenance, and the entire process with Mike was painless. Mike inspected the property same-day, provided detailed estimates for track tuning & screen door replacements, and followed-up promptly. Other companies that we made appointments with didn't even bother to show up (*ahem* Acme *ahem*). On the day of repair, Mike showed up on-time, and performed the work efficiently and thoroughly. This business is great quality. I called for help, and they had someone come out the very next day to service the door. My sliding glass door was stuck due to an old lock that had shifted. They had the door open in minutes, and spent the time to adjust the lock to work perfectly. They took the time to show me how the lock works due to a tricky adjustment to an old lock. They also cleaned the track, and lubricated the wheels, now it slides so easily and is better than ever. The whole job took less than 45 minutes. They were friendly and courteous.
