I went on a whim while exploring Hollywood and was not disappointed! I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and got seated right away which was nice. Server was quick to take our order, though the food took a little longer than expected. I got a grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and a vanilla milkshake and that combo really hit the spot! The decor was fun too and they have outdoor seating as an option as well.

Had no idea entrees could be ordered with: soup or salad, plus wine, plus dessert for only $3.99 more! What a deal! And house wines are often dry and bitter, but I enjoyed this cabernet. (In Florida, drinking alcohol before noon is the norm.) We live here to feel relaxed. The waitresses know me, but I see how friendly they are to all the clients. Delicious comfort food, kind staff, epic deals, and a relaxed atmosphere make the Moonlight Diner a community jewel for over 25 years. We luv you.

Old school diner, fun memoribilia on the walls, decent size menu with breakfast all day. Our go to spot when In the area. Priced well and the service is fast and friendly. Shopping nearby which is a plus. They have a good sized parking lot and outdoor patio.

The only thing I dislike about working late nights is that most restaurants are closed by the time I clock out and am undecided on what I want to eat. I did recall a Moonlite Diner location in Hollywood so I decided to stop by and get some food to go. There were a few people dining inside when I arrived. I greeted two female employees and asked for the menu. After contemplating for a few minutes, I finally chose the meatloaf deluxe sandwich which was served with one side (fries). Here's what I thought about the food: The sandwich in itself wasn't much to get excited over, though the slices of meatloaf was topped with grilled onions and cheese, it lacked seasoning and the fries was a bit hard. I managed to only eat half of it. I'm not sure when I would visit this diner again. Though it was a different location, it was my second visit and the food I tried on both occasions did not wow my taste buds.

I came here with my better half and we had a very nice breakfast . All prepared perfectly and not greasy which makes me happy . Coffee was very good too and reasonably priced . They are right across the Home Depot store . Also service was very good too.

I don't often go to diners, but they're my husband's favorite type of restaurant, so we decided to try Moonlite in Oakwood Plaza, just west of the Home Depot. I'm so glad we did--it was perfect. I ordered the meatloaf after reading the great Yelp reviews, and my husband went with the salmon sandwich. I also upgraded my meal with a sundae, onion soup, and a glass of wine for just under $4. I didn't end up drinking the wine, so I can't comment on that, but the meatloaf was delicious--definitely reminded me of the kind my mom used to make. It comes with two sides, both of which were tasty, and the onion soup was great too. My husband said his salmon sandwich was five stars, and his side of sweet potato fries was equally delicious. The sundae was fantastic, though it could have used a bit more hot fudge. Still, it was a generous portion and perfect for sharing. The diner has a fun 50s vibe with an updated look, and there's plenty of parking out front. I'll definitely be coming back!

I come by from time to time, it is always a pleasure. Their expansive menu has never let us down. From French toast to steak and eggs, always great. The old school music adds to the experience...

Who doesn't enjoy a good diner? Taking it back to this classic spot with two locations in south Florida. We got The Moonlite Diner serving good American breakfast & burgers. This spot is such a good spot if you are looking for something more cozy with that 90s vibes. I visited the Hollywood location twice & so far I've only had the breakfast. This location does offer both indoor & outdoor eating. Service so far has been great. Starting off with the croissant French toast, it's one of their specialties. If you have a sweet tooth like me, it will not disappoint. Enjoyed with a side of sunny side eggs & turkey sausage. Super glad they had turkey as an option. Second time I ordered an omelette with the option of building it your own. Tomatoes, mushroom & Swiss were my three toppings. With a side of hash brown & biscuit. Obviously you can never go wrong with an omelette, the portion was pretty big & fulfilling. Do plan on returning to try the lunch menu

This was a cute little spot to grab brunch before heading to Fort Lauderdale airport to catch our flight back home. We were seated right away and our food came out quickly. The best part about Moonlite Diner is the incredibly cheap prices. For the amount of food we got (couldn't even finish it) was each less than $15. Not only that but it's a little hard to find these type of Diner places now a days so the vibes, food, service, everything was on point! We both opted for Eggs Benedict but got different kinds. It's hard to mess it up but this hit the spot. Overall I was satisfied with my meal and will 100% recommend this place if you want a quick, filling, and affordable meal.

Super disappointed with this place…read more Pros: The potatoes and eggs were good & the hot sauce has great flavor! Cons: First thing I did was use the restroom which had a horrible smell and the toilet needed cleaning. The service was good at first then fell off after we ordered our food- which was strange because it was not busy at all. We ordered the screwdriver & peach Bellini to drink. Steak & eggs and the Untoasted breakfast + side of ham. The screwdriver had an odd taste & the ham was extremely soft/squishy/seemed uncooked internally. The steak was not cooked well- but acceptable enough to eat. Our server never checked on us after we got our food which sucks because we needed a few things. A different server ended up walking by much later and asked if we needed help which is when I told her I'd like to send back the ham and screwdriver- both of which I barely took a bite/sip out of. I just told her I didn't like them and she got a bit of an attitude and wanted specifics as to why I didn't like it. I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. We finished our food and no one ever came to our table again- while the workers were walking around helping the 5 other tables or talking amongst themselves. After sitting for 15+ minutes with our finished food, I just went to the front and waited for someone to check us out. I don't recommend this place and will not be back.

When I got home I also noticed they missed the extra order of bacon. If you need to try something new stay away from this place. One of the last few vestiges of original Jewish deli culture in SoFL that remains. Rachel and I shared an "Ultimate BLT" ($17) and a fruit salad ($5). Good diner coffee ($4 each, large mugs with refills). I love the complimentary coffee cake; it is nice and moist. Rachel believes it is oil or margarine-based. Fruit salad was good, with a nice mix of melon, grapes, strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries. BLT is on a white flour-dominant rye bread with caraway, and I didn't love it--a few slices of bacon. The avocado was smashed like avocado toast. The bread was broken and torn when cut, and the presentation was lousy. As a benchmark, the BLT at Dyan's in Coral Springs blows it away. We did not order bagels, they are $2 each, $3 for flagels and $1 for minis. $25 a bakers dozen. That is INSANE, among the highest bagel prices I've seen locally (I think H&H in Boca is slightly more) We only got a few to go. If you order one at the table it is $4. I didn't bother with the deli; it was all commercial Carnegie stuff. Meh. Likely a one and done with this place.
