Build your own bowl with fried egg
    Danielle W.

My friends and I each got a build your own bowl and the cauliflower wings. Elements of each were really great- the fried egg, pineapple. and sesame tofu. But something about all of the ingredients together did not blend well. We also could not taste any of the sauces that we ordered. The cauliflower wings were a really good flavor, and we had to go back and ask for the side of ranch. These I recommend. Things we did not like: corn, broccoli, chicken (flavor :/). Overall it looked pretty and we were excited to eat it until we started eating. Something tasted off, like it was sitting out all day- which is confusing because it takes at least 20 minutes once you order. It was a unique experience ordering and an interesting concept- I have to think it was a bad night, because of all the amazing reviews?

Chicken and egg bowl. Use the spicy red sauce it comes with - it needs it. Delicious !!!!

I saw moon bowls on shark tank and decided to give it a try. This is a tiny little store front on Clark you could easily miss ( I have walked by it frequently and have never noticed it before). I placed an order on the kiosks at the restaurant. Was a little annoyed that no nutritional information or ingredient information was provided to help guide my decision of what to order. Ordered the chicken and egg bowl and paid 2 extra dollars to upgrade to a cauliflower rice. The service was ridiculously slow. After about 25 min questioned the sweet woman working there who said " yeah sorry about that we had a lot of orders come in and we recently opened but don't worry we are making your a priority". Hmmm.... And my order is the priority and still took this long ? I left annoyed but the actual food was fresh and delicious so I will definitely consider returning now to give it another try ( if I have to wait that long again they will lose me as a customer so ordering on line may be the way to go ) . Love the gluten free option. Love the fresh healthy ingredients. A tad pricy but fair value and comprable to other bowl places with fresh ingredients. Recommend ( assuming on line ordering is a more efficient way to go!)

I really wanted to love this place. But I felt it lacked flavor and I wished the fried cauliflower was crispier. It's also just a grab and go or delivery location.

I received a BOGO offer, so we ordered two bowls for pickup. The spicy avocado bowl was definitely spicy, but still very good. Even with the coupon, it was $20, as the bowls are pricy. You can also create your own bowl which is probably the option I'll go with next time.

Better than I expected. Not amazing food but it is tasty macro/diet friendly, take out food. My partner and I ordered the Korean hot chicken bowl, as well as the chicken and egg bowl. The quality of ingredients were high, and each bowl could easily be split into two meals. We ordered for pick up, and arriving at the address the storefront is an Uber Eats outpost. You walk in and wait in line with Uber Eats delivery people to inform the locations employees that you ordered through the moon bowl website. Definitely don't plan to dine in or to eat the food nearby as it is located in an industrial zone that borders a residential

Korean Hot Chicken with Bamboo Rice Base & Spicy Avocado Bulgogi with Citrus Kale Base

A friend recently turned me onto Moonbowls after recently being told by my doctor to maintain a gluten-free diet. Prior to my GF elimination, I was already watching very carefully what I eat. I look for healthy options that include good protein, low-fat, and low sugar/carb. Personally, I find very few options in Chicago though there are some. Needless to say I was very excited to learn about moonbowls. I ordered for the first time today. I decided to get a couple of bowls so I could check a couple items out from their menu. I ordered the Korean Hot Chicken with Bamboo Rice Base & Spicy Avocado Bulgogi with Citrus Kale Base. Ordering was super simple and I absolutely loved both. They were full of so much flavor and I didn't feel guilty eating them. I would absolutely 100% order from moonbowls again and cannot wait to try out some of their other menu items.

This place is excellent. I've already ordered twice and the food is healthy AND tasty. Customer service is awesome, and look at that cute bag the food is delivered in! Thanks for being so great!

Great experience. Super quick delivery from the Rockwell location. I got the Avocado Bulgogi and my husband got the Sweet Chicken Kimchi as listed on the menu, except with cauliflower rice. Exciting enough for a Friday night meal without feeling unhealthy and gross (but still full) afterwards.

I was looking for something healthy since I started my New Years' "resolution Diet" and I found this place. I have never hear this restaurant before but I saw it had some good reviews to decided to give it a try. I don't eat veggies which makes it very difficult when I start a diet but still decided to give it a try. I was blown away by the amount of flavor this bowl had, Like I mentioned I don't like vegetables at all but this bowl was so delicious that I ate it all. This is not a restaurant but a kitchen that you can just pick up the food or they deliver to you which I was ok with that since I was driving nearby and I actually wanna eat it at my house. I highly recommend moonbowls if you looking for something healthy to buy but also taste.

The noodles were a lil too thick n chewy for me. Salad was nothings special, just eating large chunks of cabbage. The Sparrow Mallorc was also really good and refreshing, not overly sweet. The egg tarts had a creamy delicious custard and the dough was fluffy like a croissant, not crisp like pie. I prefer crisp but would still recommend. I mean, I really do try to stay up on the best restaurants in Chicago but I NEVER heard of it. When I reached out to a friend who is a popular food influencer , he never heard of it either, so we immediately made a date. My friend dropped me off at Daisies on a Tuesday evening, while he looked for a park. When I walked in, the ambience was so electric and enticing I just knew we were in for a treat. I couldn't believe how packed it was for a Tuesday, and when I was shown right to my table by the friendly hostess, I was even more impressed. When my date came in, our waitress appeared. She was beautiful, friendly and ready to show us a great time. She gave us the menu run-down, readily answered our questions and got the show on the road. For a cocktail, I ordered the Sour, in the Green, a delightful and refreshing blend of mezcal, soka, green strawberries and tarragon. My date, a beer lover, ordered the Moody Tongue pilsner and Spiteful IPA, which he loved. For apps, I was told the house-made ruffles with onion dip were a must-have but she said, unfortunately, they were out. Awww, bummer! However, she appeared moments later and said she was able to secure the VERY LAST ORDER just for us. Game? Who knows, but when that order was placed in front of us and we dove in, and were more than satisfied. Our other app were the delicious potted carrots...a puréed delight containing pickled carrots, duck fat, and gnoccho fritto. Yum! As for entrees, I ALMOST went with the duck bolognese but when she described it as an elevated Hamburger Helper, I quickly declined. I haven't made HH since...EVER, so I wasn't about to order it on a rare night out with an amazingly handsome man, so I went with the lamb sugo. And it was all that. He ordered rigatoni and let's just say it was out of this world. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Service was on-point and everything one could want in a date night. I pride myself on choosing great restaurants and that's why I rarely leave bad reviews. Daisies lived up to its hype and I can't wait to go back!

The potato chips the dip came with were massive, fantastic, ruffle cut slices. Dip was good, trout roe ($18) gave it that extra pop of flavor. Our favorite dish of the night was definitely the beef tongue, so tender and balanced with textures and acidity. Mains were: Pappardelle (mushroom and carrot ragu) - I liked this best out of the three pastas, pasta was very tender. Cappelletti (beef, celery root fonduta) - felt a little under al dente in the sections where it was pasta pressed against pasta. The beef filling was on the average side, a simple, braised beef. Strozzapreti (duck bolognese + parm reggiano) - pasta was cooked perfectly, but the sauce leaned salty. Our half chicken arrived once we were finishing the pastas. Juicy and tender, with the fat/skin rendered out nicely. The sauce was good, but felt the chicken itself was lacking seasoning/flavor. The remaining duck ragu came in handy for extra saltiness. Finished the meal with the terrazzo cheesecake, and gelato scoop trio (roasted vanilla, peanut butter cookie dough brownie, and frutti di bosco sorbet). Cheesecake was light and wiggly, definitely contained some gelatin and cubes of strawberry jello; not too sweet. I enjoyed the peanut butter gelato the most, was very tasty mixed with the sorbet to make a little pb and j concoction. They also gave a little slice of chocolate cake as we were there for a celebration. Overall, appetizers were a hit, with the dessert coming in second, and entrees following thereafter. Was ~$240 w the included 25% service fee between 3 people. The food feels like 3.5 stars as the food was inconsistently good across courses, but the service/ambiance pushes it to a 4. Fresh, salty, beautifully toasted. Even the side of slaw was elevated beyond the norm. But the one I'll be dreaming of is the Chickpea & Fennel Tagine. Green harissa, golden raisins, preserved lemon, arugula, and more of that amazing grilled bread. My god.
