My husband and I purchased two great looking trees recently from Ashley Adams at MVN Arcadia. She was a fairly new employee and if she wasn't sure about something we asked, she very quickly came back to us with the answer. She was so pleasant, helpful, and has a great sense of humor. She emailed watering schedule, called to let us know when utilities would be marked, and called to confirm planting schedule the day before. The planting supvr, Preston, called 30 minutes before he arrived and was right on time. Preston answered any questions I had and he and his crew had the trees planted in no time at all. Today we decided to purchase a avocado tree and of coarse I thought of Moon Nursery first, due to our past purchases and great service. We arrived and greeted immediately by a Mr. Jorge Valencia with a big smile. I described of what I wanted and he said, "we got that, jump in the truck" , and he took me right to the tree that I wanted!... He went through several of the trees and he found the best, strongest one that he thought I would take home. After picking it out, he recommended the right soil and how to care for it. He got me the rocks for the bottom of the planter, and the proper 2 soils. Went into the office, sat down at his desk, did the paper work for the purchase. After, we went to the grounds where he loaded my SUV of my purchases, and asked again if any questions, and we left...this is my 3rd experience there and their professionalism, knowledge of plants, friendliness, and caring is second to none. Brandon and Taylor have been so helpful! I have been trying to rebuild some of our landscaping with some unique picks at Moon Valley in Arcadia with Brandon and Taylor's help. I would have never tried growing a yellow hibiscus in the Phoenix weather, except for the fact that I know that Moon Valley has already been cultivating that plant in this weather. I am not sure why I have wasted time and money on other nurseries that get their plants from other climates (esp big box stores that ship their plants in from all over the country), they will not survive in this weather. If you want to grow plants in this AZ valley you will eventually realize how important Moon Valley is to help fulfill your projects. read more

we have used moon valley in our house in Scottsdale and planted 7 trees. they grew beautifully and thrived . they made our landscape perfect. we are happy to work with Steven in moon valley and Savannah. Steven made sure we picked the correct trees and supervised the planting. Savannah has helped follow up in taking care of the trees and hopefully they will grow beautiful. Steven also helped us pick shrubs for our beds . Met with Sophia Silva and purchased a large naval orange tree for delivery and install in our back yard. Sophia was very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. We actually dealt with this more remote location in order to benefit from her expertise. The tree was delivered and installed today by a very professional and thorough crew (led by the foreman - George Alderton). They deserve a big thanks for their quick work and thorough clean up. We told the sales rep we wanted a Crepe Myrtle or something similar, but none on site and got talked into a Flowering Pear. Upon doing our own research later, realised it would grow much too fast and get too big for our purposes. Apparently they have a somewhat foul smell when they flower as well. Went back in, talked to manager, and he was able to swap out for a Crepe Myrtle that he could order. Possible problem avoided. George and the crew that brought the tree out and planted it were courteous and efficient. read more
