Outrageously expensive. Want a mature fruit tree? 10,000, I kid you not. The next step down? 5,000. The 24 ft 2,000. Sale people are hard sale closers and if you don't bite they are off to another. No thanks read more

Talk about selection? I love this Nursery. They maintain their beautiful selection of plants and the pots are off the hook as well.

Absolutely LOVED my experience with this location of Moon Valley in Arcadia. From the planning phase with all the design assist, scheduling, and ordering changes (by me) with Jonnie A., to the actual delivery and planting of all the lovely vines, shrubs, and ground cover with Ian W. + Crew, I have been SO IMPRESSED with the level of service, and quality of product delivered. I am doing renovations and these plants, shrubs and vines are replacing pre-existing landscaping that was damaged during unrelated construction (as you can see in some of the pics). For many months, I've had just a front yard and courtyard full of rocks and dust, and now it has been brought back to life. I am so excited to see everything in full bloom. I really appreciate all the time and effort Jonnie, Ian and crew put into this project. They really care about the end result and actually held off on planting some roses because they weren't up to their standard. Me not having a green thumb, I appreciated that decision and shows they care about the work they do. I also love all the knowledge and education provided on my new beautiful babies (plants) and how to take care of them. I have renovated a handful of houses, and used other companies in the past... and one of them provided this kind of customer service and work product. Going forward, Moon Valley Arcadia will be my go-to for all things green and leafy. Check them out! read more

Wow!! What an awesome team, lead by Johnny M.! You think you might have an idea of what to expect when they tell you a crane is going to lift palm trees over your house to the backyard! But you don't! From beginning to end of installation, the entire team was friendly, welcoming, professional, and respectful. Johnny is a pro! A real asset to Moon Valley! We are thrilled with the outcome and cannot wait for our family and friends to oooh and ahhh over our new palms! Thank you so much! read more

We were on the hunt for two large Ficus Indian Laurel trees for the front yard of our new home. We were a bit sceptical of Moon Valley at first due to the reputation of being a high priced nursery. But when we compared trees at Moon Valley versus other tree nurseries, the saying of "You Get What You Pay For" is true at Moon Valley. Their trees were far superior to other local nurseries. And the help and guidance we received from our Landscape Designer, Jonnie Arold, was fantastic. Not only did she help us determine which 2 trees we should buy, Jonnie also came to the house to help determine the tree planting location, and then returned when the trees were planted! What more could you want from a Nursery!!!! read more

Picking out trees, planting trees, hauling trees, and manual labor involved all seem like quite a daunting task to take on for an acre citrus grove. Luckily we chose Moon Valley Nursery to do just that. The entire process was easy and extremely professional; we totally recommend! The sales team at Moon Valley Nursery came out to our property, told us what trees would thrive in our environment (we have hard ground that's challenging to grow on), and helped us decide just what we would enjoy as well as a few other items around our yard. Chelsea Rodriguez was the quality assurance manager in charge of the process and she scheduled and corresponded with us the entire time without any problems. This was a refreshing change from previous companies we have worked with. No flakiness here, just quality service. George was the foreman of the crew and he called to say he was coming, showed up on time and efficiently planted our new trees. Moon Valley Nurseries are a bit pricey, however I am a firm believer that with some things you get what you pay for. Our trees are high quality, the service is top notch, the people accommodating and friendly, and the overall experience flawless and easy. We are excited about our new grove and look forward to working with Moon Valley Nursery in the future! read more

I had the very best experience with the Arcadia location. District Mgr. Danny Melena, thank you for great job at our community! Preston & his crew did an amazing job! We had a tree installed from this nursery last year that didn't survive this hot summer. We had purchased a warranty on the tree and when I contacted this location Savannah responded very quickly and efficiently got us scheduled asap for a full tree replacement. We worked directly with Savannah and I was able to complete all the scheduling and conversation via text which was so much easier! Savannah was quick to respond and very thorough and detail oriented. She made this process easy and painless!! read more

I scheduled a consultation with MVN on Jan 7, 2025. On my appointment day, I expected a consultant to arrive at my home in person to advise me about my landscaping needs. Instead, I got a call from Sophia, the GM, stating she would like to discuss my project over the phone. She told me to text her pics of my house, which I did, but she did not offer any suggestions. I suggested Bougainvillea plants, and we agreed on (4) plants for my front yard. She scheduled a delivery date for February 4th (I had to wait one month for four plants). On the delivery date, two men in a large MVN truck showed up with only (2) of the (4) plants I ordered, and they were TINY! I could have fit 20 of these tiny plants in my own car from Lowe's or Home Depot. I called Sophia to tell her we got the order wrong, and she realized she only billed me for two plants ($29.00 each) but charged me $249.99 for a delivery fee! Each plant also had a $30 charge for planting (but they were tiny, so they didn't need any digging). She said they have "a special soil treatment." She said I should have noticed the mistake on the invoice (which we never got!). She said I could order (again) the other two missing plants, but I would need to 1) pay more money for them and 2) wait more time for another delivery, so I declined. Finally, after back and forth, she agreed to reimburse me the $249.99 delivery fee (for these tiny plants) and said she would credit my credit card. I texted her to follow up when I didn't get the credit. She said she couldn't find my credit card and would issue a refund check instead. When I didn't hear from her or get a check, I texted her again, and she said, "I don't know, I can find out." I replied that I was glad I followed up. Otherwise, the refund would have been ignored. Finally, a week later, after another text from me to follow up, she told me a check would be mailed this Friday, or I could drive from Scottsdale to Arcadia to "Pick up a check." Since this is a customer service credit, a check should have been hand-delivered because we are still waiting for this reimbursement. Also, we went to Home Depot the next day and bought two more bigger and fuller Bougainvillea plants for less. The whole experience has been terrible and unfortunate because I relied on this business to help my home curb my appeal. Instead, we got two tiny plants and a headache. We cannot wait to get our $249.99 reimbursement check and breathe a sigh of relief that we are done with this situation. read more

This review comes straight from my heart. Robert was my saving grace after Berridge Nursery gravely disappointed me. Rarely have I seen this level of eagerness to meet a customer's needs and take on my task with me. We worked through figuring out what plants to buy and how to plant them and it was fun! Robert was knowledgeable and made this process so much better than "the other place". Essentially, Berridge told me that helping figure out what to plant and how to do it would require design consultation, which is outside of what they do and I would need to pay them for that. (What the heck?!) I left "the other place" in tears as mine is a very low budget project for a charter school. I fell into the right hands with Robert. He gave me a cold bottle of water and showed real hospitality; I genuinely felt he cared about my project. This location didn't have all that I needed, but their other location on Tatum did. This used to be my go-to nursery and I don't know what happened recently but these prices are bananas. The good about this nursery is most plants are well organized and labeled clearly. But the prices aren't even remotely in line with other local nurseries. The totem pole here is $399.00, 50% off (normal price is apparently almost $800??). There's just no way. I thought I was dreaming. I went to Phoenix Desert Nursery right after this and a totem pole cactus, same size, just as nice as this one, was $100 regular price. Whitfill had prices similar to Phoenix Desert Nursery as well. read more

We are continuing to receive excellent service and follow up from Moon Valley Nurseries after our initial big planting. Today we had a beautiful grapefruit tree added to the back yard. George and his crew did an excellent job of planting. They also followed up with a small shrub that hadn't done well by replacing it under their comprehensive extended warranty, no-questions-asked. The whole thing was coordinated by Chelsea in the office who arranged for the planting time, the replacement plant, and follow through afterwards to make sure everything went as planned. Moon Valley is a top notch, professional nursery with great design, planting, tree removal, and follow up arborist care. read more

Moon Valley has gone above and beyond with their customer service. They exceeded my expectations as a customer. The manager which is the women at this location ensured my dead plants were replaced with the correct type of plants at no additional Cost. It was due to an error from one of their staff in terms to the slow release fertilizer they had sold me during the summer. They also had them delivered and planted as well. Most of my plants have been purchased through this location due to them guaranteeing their plants. I believe in their plants and I will continue to purchase from this location. Do not hesitate when using Moon Valley Arcadia. read more

Tim and his crew did an outstanding job on delivering, placing and planting two very large potted Mediterranean Fan Palms in my backyard. My husband and I bought multiple trees for our yard. We worked with Brandon when choosing the trees. He was very knowledgeable and helped us choose the best trees for our lot. We had an issue with three of the trees being much smaller than the others and the nursery replaced them with bigger, better trees without complaint! Ashley Adams followed up with multiple phone calls and emails to be sure we were happy with our purchase and that we were watering and feeding the trees appropriately. All in all, a five star experience. Sue read more

This was my 1st time "landscape shopping" and Moon Valley was our 1st choice based on so many positive reviews everywhere I looked. We did not feel like we needed to go anywhere else and spent approx 20K on new trees which was worth every cent. We already have a 2nd order scheduled for delivery and I know there will be more to follow. PS, my husband LOVES the dinosaur! read more

Great experience purchasing a couple of trees for our home in Scottsdale. Mandy was so knowledgeable and offered suggestions for what would work best in the spots in our yard. She showed photos and narrowed down the choices before we walked into the nursery. This was especially helpful with my elderly mother who has a hard time walking. We were provided with all the details to make the planting a success and great follow through with Alexis on any questions we may have both before and after the planting. On the day of planting the crew actually arrived much earlier - they called first to let us know. Brett, Miquel and Carlos were great to work with. They treated our property and the new trees respectfully. Once planted they cleaned up the landscape as if no amount of digging had been done! Our sprinkler company happened to arrive at the end of the planting and both crews worked together to accomplish their individual tasks. I had a badly damaged, very large ficus tree in my small yard. John, the Moon Valley arborist, reassured me that the tree was OK but needed some major work. I asked him about an empty spot next to the house that didn't get much sun & he said he had the perfect, specific tree for that spot, a dwarf lemon tree. We purchased a tree for inside our home. After discussing the options numerous times with the manager and sales associates. The tree was delivered without the base to the planter ( which we paid for ). We had to wait for someone to bring it out. This tree took 5 men to bring into our brand new home. The base to the planter they gave us was completely defective. The tree was unable to survive indoors ( they should have known that ). We called to have the tree relocated to an outdoor space and lo and behold- our brand new flooring was destroyed by the faulty planter base. After contacting the company- they assured us we would hear back. No one ever called us. Weeks later of us following up- the manager ( Christine , I believe ) told us that it's not something they will address or remedy. I explained it was their product, their tree, their movers, etc. she basically said, " we have no intention of doing anything." I questioned how they can not take any responsibility and she became short. When I requested the info to their legal department she refused to give it to me and said, " Now that you brought up a lawsuit, I can no longer talk to you about this." I NEVER said that word. Considering they RECORD all calls- I can prove this happened. They will not stand behind their word. They don't have to. It's too large a company. Lesson learned. I'll never stop sharing this when the subject of landscaping arises in the future. New floors ruined over their incompetence and lack of accountability. read more
