I'm really disappointed writing this because I've been coming to this salon on and off for years. I live in China Spring, and they've always been convenient and done a good job--until now. I went in on Saturday, March 21, 2026, for a pedicure and manicure as a special treat for myself. I'm pretty frugal and usually do my nails at home, so this was something I was genuinely looking forward to. I walked in, and they asked me to come back in an hour after making an appointment. Totally understandable--they were busy. However, when I returned, I still had to wait another full hour. When I finally got seated for my pedicure, the water was barely warm. Not a huge issue, but definitely not what you expect. The bigger problem came when the technician started working on my toenails. She cut deep into the sides of both big toenails, which immediately hurt. I spoke up, but she continued anyway. The rest of the service felt rushed and careless. The "deluxe" portion--like the towel wrap and massage--was not done with the usual level of care. It felt like I was being hurried through the process. For my manicure, the technician seemed annoyed and rushed, especially when a larger group came in. My nails were only okay--the polish could have used another coat--but I was quickly pushed out. I left with sore toes, thinking maybe it was just sensitivity or a minor issue. The next day, my toes were still very painful. By Monday, after being on my feet all day teaching, I got home and noticed something was seriously wrong. When I lightly touched my big toes, pus came out of both sides. Both toes are now clearly infected. This is not just a bad experience--this is a health and safety concern. I am now having to treat what appears to be infections caused by improper nail care. No one should leave a salon in worse condition than they came in. I hate to say this because of my past experiences here, but I cannot recommend this salon anymore. Management here is awful. No customer service skills. Me and my friend went there on a Saturday afternoon for mani pedis. There was one person waiting ahead of us. The owner asked us if we could come back in 45 minutes so we agreed. When we came back, there were only two people working, no one waiting and two new people in the chairs being served. They put us in pedicure chairs and left us there for over 30 minutes. Then the owner came and told us it would be another 45 minutes. The original 45 minute wait turned in to a two hour wait. No apology offered, no explanation. We left. There are so many salons to choose from. We won't be back to Moon Nails. read more

For starters, the workers were very rude and disrespectful. Also, they were very rough when cutting my cuticles and cut and almost broke the skin! The vibe was very traditional, Chinese, cat hand thing, and a little uncomfortable. Therefore, that is why I rate this nail salon one star. read more

The owner did not want to honor a gift card because she said it was too old but there was nothing on the card that said it ever expired she ended up giving me $50 and I had to cough up the other 50+ this place is outrageously expensive! The pedicure was $65 because the upcharge for gel was $20. The nail techs were sweet and did a good job. But since the owner would not honor a card that her company sold to my daughter, I won't go back, too many other options. read more

On Saturday I visited the Moon Nails in China Springs. The first 10 minutes or so was pleasant. There was an elderly woman who came in with her daughter who you could obviously tell has dementia, and has recently suffered a stroke. The owner Tina was not kind to the woman at all. She kept very rudely telling the elderly woman to, "put foot in water, or I no do your nails". A lot of salons realize they make the water too hot but Tina did not seem to think so. That was just the first incident. The second incident was while I was getting my mani done. There was a woman, who did in fact talk a lot, but she wasn't harming anyone. The many working on her nails( I did not catch his name) told her, "ill charge double, even triple for talking a lot." it doesn't matter if he was playing or not, that is not acceptable. I set an appointment ahead of time for right at opening time. Trish helped me. She was great. Did eyebrow and bikini wax as well as pedicure. She was professional and had a great personality. I typically don't write reviews. I tend to err on the side of grace and recognize that some people just have bad days at work. That being said, I'm writing this review- that's how bad the service/experience was. I received a manicure and pedicure over the weekend from this place. They're relatively new in town and I thought I'd give them a try. I won't be going back. The nail tech didn't push back or trim my cuticles, didn't clean under my nails, did use a base coat, took the liner out of the foot bath and then instructed me to place my feet back into the bare bowl without it being sanitized, trimmed my toenails markedly uneven. The whole experience was bad. I tried to tell her that I wanted the regular mani and pedi services and that I wasn't going to put my feet in an unsanitized bowl. She kept telling me, "it's ok, I'll do that..." but never did. I came home and trimmed my nails myself since they were so crooked and even gapped on the sides. I also just saw on my credit card statement that extra was put on my card for a tip that I didn't authorize. I have no doubt that the female nail tech was very tired and had probably worked very long hours. That doesn't excuse the terrible service and the extra tip money placed on my card. Avoid this place. They have some problems they need to address with their staff. read more

I am not one to complain or make hard judgement but I have never been so disappointed and literally cried in my car because of how bad my nails looked after asking for them to do them the way I wanted ! Usually you go to a place and " the customer is always right " . Well evidently everything that I wanted was just wrong. First, I asked for coffin shape but more on the shorter side ( yes I'm aware coffin doesn't always look the best short but I'm a personal caregiver and I work with older people and sometimes children, so long nails are just simply a no for me. ) well instead I was told " NO, this will look better and squared them off without pointing them at all and left them entirely way to long, that I can't even make a fist... Second, I asked for a very bold color ( kind of a plain Jane , usually do black matte or French tip ) But it's summer !!! So .... I wanted to do yellow ! I kept on mentioning I was nervous about the color and asked to see what it would look like with the matte and the gloss on two different nails. Again, was told " NO, this will look better " and he only put the gloss on all of my nails, which made the nails look neon SO !! I asked again for the matte and then was told that they didn't have any at all in the whole salon!! And not to mention, I got there about 3:30 in the afternoon , it usually takes about an hour to finish a full nail set , it was 5:20, when I left because I'm assuming this was the manager, because he was the only one answering the phone to make appointments and checking people out when they were leaving when had me waiting multiple time for him just to do my nails , and he was making personal calls and FaceTimes, not even completely focusing on my nails ! I'm honestly so upset that I don't even want to go back to have them fix it ... They were super unprofessional and did nothing that I asked for.. read more

Never going again. They used gel polish and said it was normal polish and never set it with the light. They used a normal top coat. The top coat was dry and underneath was wet. Went to have them fix my polish and it would be 5 dollars to switch to a normal polish. I had to go home and polish them myself. I also got acrylics put on and didnt even get to pick the length. It would caust me more to have the length I actually wanted when going to get my nails done. They were rushed and wanted to go home. Never going again read more

The cutting, shaping, color and massage were all done very professionally and left my feet and legs feeling fantastic. My nails look great and I always get compliments. I went there today for a pedicure with a coworker, it was my first time to go there. It was the best pedicure I have ever gotten, it was not busy, we got taken right to a chair as soon as we walked in. Both the people that did mine and my coworkers pedicure were very funny and very nice, I will definitely be going back for pedicures, and will be getting my nails done as well.
