I usually feel rushed when at a walk in salon but this salon made me feel really comfortable and like I could ask for exactly what I wanted. Mom and I came in one day while visiting family in Waco. After an extensive search for a great place to get Dip Powder nails, I settled on Serenity because they had several positive reviews. I gave them a call, and the woman who answered said they could accommodate us both. We parked just outside the salon and walked in. We introduced ourselves to one of the nail techs and then they gave us each a color selection booklet. A few minutes later, we were walked back to the pedicure area where we each had a tech begin our services after filling the basins and making note of our color choices. The older gentleman gave my mother a FABULOUS pedicure. I was kinda jealous lol. I was happy with the way my gel pedicure came out though, and the young woman who did my dip powder?! ABSOLUTELY STELLAR. I've been to salons in GA, and CA, and none gave me shape this great! She was friendly and polite and she just really GOT it! Overall a great experience except for the fact that my Mom didn't get her paraffin because the gentleman doing her pedicure forgot. :-( He was so nice, though (and did a fantastic massage on her) that she didn't mind too much. I went upon the recommendations from yelp. This place was a standard level of clean, which i think is not sanitary enough. My nail is unevenly done, which will bother me until i have them redone. There were several things i did not like beyond this. 1. Use is uv lamp on dip nails. It's not necessary, doesn't wear a well and i don't like the uv lights on my skin. 2. Soak hands in acetone is very hard on my hands vs. Wrapping soaked cotton around finger in foil. 3. Only 2 color layers, not 3. 4. Drimmelling the inside of my nails... why? To make my already very thin nails thinner? There was no need and it was done multiple times. read more

They're super nice here at Serenity and as other recent reviews mentioned, take their time. I had a dip mani and gel pedi today and was thoroughly relaxed by the time I left thanks to no one trying to do both at the same time (I hate that!) or rush me through. The gentleman who did my pedi mentioned to another client who asked him that the former owner retired about 8 months ago. I didn't catch any of the workers' names but there are two women and two men today and all are so welcoming and friendly. The other folks in here seem pleased with their services as well. Stopped in from out of town (during Covid) and don't regret it! $35 for a classic pedicure with all the good stuff. My pedicurist paid very good attention to detail when caring for my toe nails. The salon chairs are very nice and comfortable. The whole place appears very clean. There are plexi glass dividers between me and my pedicurist and all of the clients were socially distanced at their stations. I was a walk-in on a Monday afternoon and did not wait. I have not had a brag worthy pedi in a VERY long time. This salon is so awesome. The people are the sweetest and pay close attention to detail. She gave me a long massage (even though my package only included 7min), she did 7 minutes on each leg! I did not feel rushed at all and they really took their time. I will be back! I always come in getting a fresh new set, and my sets each time last up to 1 1/2 - 2months without any breaks or cracks in the acrylic. He was very attentive to detail and want I was wanting as the client! My nails look great and they are the perfect length (for me)! I will definitely be returning in the future! So after my most recent 5 year sabbatical I decided to start wearing them again. I went to one of the most upscale nail salons that was limitless on their nail art. I had picked an emerald green for St Patricks Day with small gnomes on the tips. I'm then taken to a table where I was shown a metallic green. So I agreed, since I had been away for a while,that's this lady was up today on the most current nail styles, and plus she knew what was the most healthy for my nails. She convinced me to get the dipped nails and then apply acrylics on top, then color green . I didn't know this was wrong until Hailey told me about it cause I wanted to keep my own nail length. Hailey being the most magnificent tech as she is was able to salvage my nails beautifully. I highly recommend Hailey to each and everyone of you. I just had my nails done using the dip. I was in a time crunch and they took a very long time. He told m they were dry, and apparently they went because 45 minutes later they are a total mess. They were done sloppy as I have color all around my nails. The atmosphere is nice. Maybe it was just the person who I used. I don't even know his name. Like previous reviewers have stated, this place is a hidden gem. I got a mani/pedi for $38, which I feel is more than reasonable for an hour of work. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable. The place was very calm, no tv on or loud music...granted I went on a Thursday afternoon. Can't speak to what a Saturday is like. My biggest praise is that when my manicurist was cleaning/trimming the nail bed, I hardly felt a thing. Every other manicure I've had has been painful at this part, as the technician always cuts too deep. Serenity is a great place! They do a wonderful job with pedicures, very relaxing, offer you something to drink. I usually do the shellac manicure, and it always turns out very nice and lasts the full 2 to 3 weeks (sometimes only 2 for me, but I'm hard on my nails), and they pay a lot of attention to your cuticles and shaping. I never get the feeling, like I have at some places, that I'm "imposing" on their time. They are very warm and welcoming, and will listen to you if you have a question or make a special request. Great customer service and skill! I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door, given a refreshment, and quickly placed at a chair despite not having an appointment. The nail technician, who I suspect was also the owner, was very friendly and talkative with me. I was also a bit of a handful because I didn't realize the color I'd chosen wasn't' completely opaque and allowed the pink of my nail bed to slightly show through. The lady was willing to work with me, adding an additional layer of dipping powder to help with the color. My daughter tried here to get her nails done. Had acrylic nails done with designs done on two of her nails. We were told it would be $35 because she wanted 2 fingers with designs. When he finished them he charged $5 more because of the length. She has never paid more for the length. And especially after being told the price up front. The very next morning 1 nail came off with no stress applied to it. We glued it back on and it came off again later that day. The second day a 2nd nail came off on her other hand. Very dissatisfied for a cost of $40. The paint was chipped withing the same 2 day period. She was planning to go back in a couple weeks to have filled but at this rate she won't have any left on her hands to fill. I would recommend checking out some other places first. The staff was nice and friendly but quality is just not there. She has had her nails done several times before with no issues at other places. They looked good the first day when they were done but they just don't seem to be lasting and the sudden price increase as they were doing them left bitter feelings. I would say go elsewhere. read more
