However this nail shop in waco charged me $92 for shellac, pedicure , and 2 overlays on my big toes which i never paid before. I was already annoyed but i had somewhere to be that weekend so i left it at that. Couple days later my fake nail on my overlay chip over a minor thing and when i asked if they would fix it they said it would be a $7 charge. next thing you know a couple days later my other overlay nail came completely off. It's always clean there and staff are very friendly. I don't care for the old lady piano music they play continually end up with my earbuds in. It feels rude to Lynn but the only way it's tolerable for me. I drive 45 minutes JUST for her service. The prices are quite a bit higher than the place in my city but ok, I guess. I have only recently gone to a new technician which works from home, as she was "trying" to soak off my nails she came to find out that MMA was used on my nails which is illegal and isn't supposed to be used!!! This stuff can cause infections and ultimately ruin your nails. My new nail tech had to soak them about 5 times for it to come completely off. Please reconsider coming here if you are because this is just not okay and I was shocked to find out this was being used on my nails!! Be careful and do your research! read more

This place messed up simple glitter. There's no way they could pull off what they suggest. They left huge clumps of glitter. Didn't cover most of it with the top coat. I gave a photo of the length I wanted but they cut them far shorter. They left material all over my skin. They quoted a price then after messing it all up, charged extra. I like solar nails and the owners Philip and Kelly, but you do have to get the right nail tech for you. A couple I don't prefer are Sunny bc of his attitude (I read another review so I know it wasn't just me) and the older man. Kelly and Ty are the best at this time in my opinion. They do a good job of thinning the nail near the cuticle and around the edges where it doesn't come loose easily. I think it's important to tell any tech what you like the first few times you use someone, even though I don't like to sound picky. But it's so expensive now, I am!! If they don't listen, choose another one next time till you find the one that works for you. Don't use the older man here for nails or pedicures if you're picky. You won't be happy. But overall I say give them a try. And you get a drink as well. read more

When I called to make an appointment, whoever answered the phone was really kind and offered suggestions and was very helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. I knew I wanted a design, so when I came in I showed her the pictures, she had me sit at Amy's station (number 7) and I am SO GLAD she did! Amy was very attentive and really took her time to make sure the shape was to my liking and worked hard to make sure the color and design of my nails was as close as possible to the picture I showed. I have learned over the years to be very particular about my nails, and any time there was even the smallest flaw that I could see, Amy would fix it before I even finished my thought.
