I have never left a bad review until now. They left me soaking in polis remover for over 30 min. I told them I only have a hour and 15 min to be somewhere. I agreed to come back if they could not finish in time. The gentlemen doing my nails left me soaking and went and ate lunch. He did my nails terrible. Probably thr worst I have ever gotten. At the end they charged me $55. They charged me $5 dollars to remove the dip from a previous time. I will not ever go back. read more

I called on Sunday to see if I could make an appointment or if they could fit me in for a basic manicure. The lady on the phone was polite and asked if I could come in now. I explained I was 10 minutes away and would head that way now. I am not unreasonable and understand that if a customer arrives between my call and arrival - it only makes business sense to take the customer rather than wait on someone who may not show. I arrived 7 minutes after my call and when I told the employee I had just called about a manicure, she looked at me like I asked for a kidney. Everyone had a customer in the pedicure area, so when she asked if I could wait 20 minutes I agreed. Thirty-five minutes later - one of the employees noticed me looking at my watch, so requested I move to a manicure station. Still no help, no apology, no service (not even a soak for my nails). At this point, I noticed the couple that walked in 15 minutes after me and was told it would be a 40-45 minute wait were already seated in the pedicure area, and service had started. (Frustration raising) An additional 10 minutes later, one of the employees joins me at the manicure table with a small bowl of cool water to start soaking my nails. He made an insincere apology about the wait. When I explained, I asked for an appointment - if they had not said to come now (almost an hour ago) I could have finished some of my errands. No acknowledgement. Here is the kicker - the entire manicure (start to payment) took 17 minutes. Even though I explained I did not need anything fancy, just wanted to protect my nails from splitting/breaking while doing a renovation....I did not even get polish. I requested just something clear and was told "I do something better." So instead of adding something to strengthen my nails or help them - he buffed them to a shine, then stood up and walked to the payment counter. At this point, I am done and just need to leave before I let my frustration get the best of me. So - to wrap it up. If this is the experience you want for a "pampering moment" I highly recommend Skyline Nails... I spent 1 hour and 16 minutes in Skyline Nails, received 17 minutes of service, and dropped $25.00 (and he was upset I did not tip), one of my nails was already peeling as I left (reiterate - the reason I went for a manicure in the first place), another broke on the seatbelt when I arrived home. Instead of helping, the "buffing" made them even more susceptible to damage. read more

Their prices are amazing (aka affordable and justly priced) and my nails would last for almost two months. Other nail places can't even compare to Skyline and I'm dead serious with that. The owners are so kind and caring towards you from the moment you step in the store to the moment you leave. Always asking if there is a drink they can get for you, and making sure that you love your nails. I would get so many compliments on my nails no matter the color. The last set I got was this nude set and it lasted me 6 weeks with no breaks or lifting. 6 WEEKS! I no longer live in the area and am so sad that I can't get my nails done here anymore. This was the first nail salon that I decided to go to in Waco since I had just moved into town . After driving an hour for my appointment with Julia, it was going well until I walked out the door and realized that her work wasn't what I expected, which was expected to be at least somewhat good from the reviews here on yelp! I requested shellac French and black with an almond tip medium less than two weeks they already started chipping & wanted to charge me $85 & quickly changed it to $70 as well I noticed that on my right index finger the nail was not glued correctly underneath. I came in on a Wednesday evening early in May when I was in town on a business trip. If they were in hometown, this would be my new go to. So nice and friendly, offered me a drink, the whole place was very clean and the chairs are comfy. I came in about an hour before closing and there was absolutely no rush to get my pedicure done, it was done very well and my technician did a phenomenal job. During my manicure they drilled through my fingernail with the drill they used to rough up my nails for gel (which why would you need a drill to do that in the first place) so now my finger is in terrible pain, even now on day 3. The lady who did my manicure did not pay attention to what she was doing, she was too busy chatting and laughing with the gal who did my feet to notice that she drilled past my nail and onto the skin underneath. The skin underneath my nail is fully exposed at this point, and despite that they didn't really care and kept trying to put gel on it, and I had to insist they didn't because why on earth would I put gel on a raw, torn up fingernail. Called to make an appointment for a dip manicure and was told it would be $40. Arrived, and they said it'd be another $5 to trim cuticles, which I found odd. Then after the tech had already started, I asked what the manicure included (massage, lotion, etc.). Then my friend and I were told that to add a manicure on top of the dip would be $20 more. Ridiculous to not have transparent prices. Felt like they were trying to rip us off. The tech ripped and sliced off half of my cuticles, causing bleeding and discomfort - REALLY hope I don't get an infection. He also got a lot of color on my finger tips, which took extra time to file and cut off. Sigh. I would not recommend this place. Nor would I ever go back. read more

The gentleman (tim) that did our nails was very nice but there seemed to be a language barrier. My nails were crooked and when I asked him to fix it he didn't understand, someone else assisted and he tried to fix it but it was still crooked, I just let it go. The place was dirty, you can tell nothing is ever wiped down. Its crazy to me that this is some of the local's regular nail salon. We called 30 minutes ahead of time to make sure we could get in, and although busy, they made it happen. The cost for the basic was $35....but well worth it. I went to this place on 9/28 and got a pedicure and an overlay on my nails. I had two workers working on me at the same time. The employee that was doing my pedicure was done using the cuticle cutter when the other lady working on my nails asked to use them. I immediately told both of them to stop my services and to get another cuticle cutter for my nails. She refused. I spoke with the owner and she was rude and said that they can use the same cuticle cutter because it was my cuticles. I contacted TDLR 9/29 and I was advised that the cuticle cutters has to be disinfected between services. After speaking with TDLR I called and spoke with the owner again and she hung up in my face.
