The older balding guy, owner(?), is rude, and does a sloppy job! And for God's sake tell him to stop pressuring clients for a larger tip when they're at the counter to pay!!! Very tacky! The most unkind interaction with the male working there. Tried to tell me I don't care for myself because of how my nails look and my work and life must look the same. I was absolutely shocked and so taken aback that any human let alone a business person felt compelled to give me free feedback on my life based on my short nails because I didn't want them longer. Very disappointing experience there today. They charged me $2.00 to use my credit card. I have had my nails done all over Roseville and Auburn, and none of them charge that much. The most I have been charged is $1.00 to use my card. The man that was talking to me had an unpleasant demeanor with me. They didn't have a way to take my Discover card, so I changed cards. Then the tip had to be $$ cash only. I had $2.00 cash in my purse. The young gal who did my nails didn't get all the polish off on my nails or under my nails. Then on top of that did not file or buff my nails. So I paid $15 for a polish change only, $2 card charge & $2 tip. Total of $19 for a non gel polish change, no filing of my nails. The young gal walked off, and didn't even put me under the light. (it makes me wonder if she even had a license) Every place files and buff your nails with a polish change. I should have gone where I regularly go by the 7'11 store where they only charge me $10. They lost a customer; and I will not go back again. The man was told by myself that I had been there before. the people that work here are EXTREMLY judgmental and rude. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time I was here. They judge everyone that comes in and make it super obvious. They think just because people don't speak their language that it is ok to criticize. They are super rude short and dry with you and barley listen to what you want. I had to repeat myself multiple times to them and they still didn't know what I wanted and seemed mad about what I was asking for and mad that I wasn't spending extra money because I didn't want acrylic tips when all I wanted was a simple French tip. read more

Got a basic pedicure for $30. When I went to pay, I said add a $6 tip which would make it $36. Not looking at the final amount on the receipt, I signed it and left. My bank acct said I was charged $38. They have a sign that says cash tips but since I never carry cash I had to give a tip using my card. Some places won't even take tips unless it's cash. There's no way to track how much you get tipped when it's cash so everyone wants cash these days(servers, unfortunately, have to claim there sales...not tips). I guess the cashier decided that "I'll" claim the sale so the nail tech will get his full $6 tip??? ‍I will be back though. The guy did a good job! I'll just pay attention next time. Oh my goodness I am so glad I tried this place! Laura is my new nail lady. She did an amazing job! I have acrylic nails and I always get pink and white, Laura did the best job on my nails, better than I've had in years! The pedicure was also amazing unfortunately I did not get her name. I will get it next time I go in. I am just thrilled that I finally found my nail place! I have tried several and have had really bad luck so you can imagine my relief! I cannot recommend Laura at Mood Nails enough!!! I will say specifically I asked for a darker pink and a lot more white and she got it right the first time. The owners of mood nails are GREAT! I had a horrible gel manicure at Lavish nails and when I left Lavish I went straight to Mood nails. The fact that it was two days before Christmas I never imagined they would be able to take me, since I didn't have an appointment, but I was desperate. The owners said no problem and sat me down immediately and started to fix my nails. I am super grateful they helped me when I was frantic and now my nails look great for Christmas and family photos. I asked for my nails to be coffin shaped and long. This is not coffin shaped and long... I usually get my eyebrows done there so I figured my nails would look decent. I've been to this shop a few times now and never experienced the concerns in the reviews. Every time I've been here, they have been kind, efficient and clear about prices. The pedicures my husband and I got today were done well, and the results were beautiful. The staff pays attention to the order of walk in customers and the appointments and takes customers in order. My daughter and I went in here as my sister referred her soon-to-be daughter in-law. We went in the day of the wedding and we told them we were going to a wedding. The place is need of a facelift and cleaning. The spa chairs are not clean and the place has a rug (!) that would be better gone than washed. 90% of the nail polish was over half used and cracked looking. The two ladies that my daughter and I had were very nice. But there is one woman there who ought to go someplace else as she obviously thinks customers get in her way of her day. They had us sit at a drying table that had a florescent light for drying! Who does that? Your nails don't dry. Of course when we left, the first bump smeared our nails. Never again.
