I've been going to pampered nails since I moved here in September, so I've gone at least 10 times. And I've never been disappointed. Tried this place for the first time and unfortunately not coming back. Did pedi gel and mani regular. Gel as clean and precise as I wanted , I could have done it myself. Definitely low standard for someone that does it probably 20 times a day. Then she cut my skin off, it was bleeding and then she forgot and sprayed alcohol on top. The burning was good. For the mani the pictures speak for themselves. Did not even last 24hrs. Unbelievable. I think even the $1 store nail polish last me at least 4-5 days. read more

If you are looking to get a "regular" manicure or pedicure, this may not be the place for you. The two times I have been here I was "encouraged" to get gel instead of regular polish. After my recent manicure, my guess is that they are not maintaining their regular nail polish. I was told a regular manicure would take longer to dry (I know that, this is not my first rodeo). However, a manicure should not take an hour and a half to dry. When I went to start making dinner, one of my nails started to smudge (see picture). I don't think this place wants to do anything other than gel. The people who I have gone with who get gel manicures or pedicures, felt good about the work that was done. I don't get gel, so I can't speak to it. So if you're looking for gel, perhaps this is the place for you. I will go to Grass Valley Nails the next time I'd like my regular mani or pedi. read more

My overall experience here was so horrible, enough to make me never come back. My manicurist, Mindy, continuously commented on the length of my nails (I keep them short) and how it was making her job more difficult. Not to mention leaving with three bleeding cuticles. At the end of my appointment while paying, I requested to add a credit card tip because I forgot cash, and the manager said, "Can't you go over to SPD, buy something and get cash back?" Overall an unacceptable answer and ridiculous request for a customer who doesn't even have to tip in the first place. He made the "exception" for me "this time" after being incredibly annoyed with the fact that I didn't go across the shopping complex to help him avoid a tax. They did my nails for my wedding and I loved those! So I went back a few weeks later and got some red and took the gel off. Service is great, they are open on Sundays and always very accommodating, the second time I went for my manicure, I decided last minute to also get a pedi and they fit me right in and were very nice about me not having an appointment for pedi. Didn't get what i requested , i knew i shouldn't of came in . (The salon i usually go to was closed so i gave this one a shot ). I had a bad feeling the second i walked in . The gentleman at the door spoke great English , but wasn't very welcoming . He didn't have the best costumer service and was very short . The gentleman who did my nails was very gentle and nice . I have been going here for a while now, and they are always accommodating to me when I need a fill on my nails. which is much appreciated. HOWEVER. Today I went there and it was a horrific experience. The manager started my nails and kept on drilling into my skin. I told him a few times that he was hurting me, I was bleeding, and he just put his finger on mine until it stopped and then kept going. He then gladly pushed me off unto his coworker and we had a good ol argument about how I should have remembered the nail color, when he took the colors away before annihilating my fingers. I had a pedicure at this salon - the gentleman that did the service was polite and I was satisfied with the pedicure. The sanitary conditions were borderline and could use some improvement. I did call beforehand to secure an appointment and specifically asked if they accept credit cards. I was told "yes". Nothing else. When I went to pay, I was then told that there is a $3.00 charge to use a credit card!! The pedicure was only $35.00, so that was nearly a fee of 10%. I asked to speak to the manager - he was the guy I spoke with on the phone - When I reminded him that I asked about credit cards, he said "you didn't ask me if we charge a fee". What a rude, unprofessional, and totally dismissive response !! Plus, it is ILLEGAL in the State of California to charge a fee for using a credit card - so let's add "stupid" to that. I would've brought cash - which I am sure they prefer b/c it enables them to collect revenue they don't necessarily have to claim. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place. read more

Cannot recommend. Went in for a gel manicure and this is the result. I picked a light pink after two coats she said the color picked was "too frosty" and that's why they are chunky. She then painted over with a darker pink and this is the final product. $35 for Gel mani $45 for Gel pedi. read more

Not really sure where to start, honestly.. The older gentleman who did my pedicure (I got the most expensive one) injured my toes. I don't know if the water was too hot, if it's from the pumice stone (He scrubbed very hard, all over my feet), or maybe the paraffin wax was too hot (it definitely hurt a little). Either way... I found these sores on my toes a few hours later when getting ready for bed. (I wasn't wearing new shoes or anything like that, that would cause sores on two random toes). He also had fingernails that needed to be cut, so he was hurting me with his thumbnail when massaging my feet. He also wasn't super friendly. Never smiled or made me feel happy to be there. Maybe was having a bad day? I don't know. Either way, I noticed! On the other hand... The girl who did my manicure/gel polish was sweet! Didn't say much but did a good job and was nice. The younger guy who did my friends pedicure was super nice and funny! Wish he had done my pedi. I normally have cash on me (& prefer to tip this way) but haven't been carrying it much due to covid/sanitary reasons. But even then, it's 2021 & I would think most places would take card without charging a service fee but here we are. Plus I wasn't able to tip on card which I feel absolutely terrible about! I've been there twice and have been pleased both times. First time, I saw Danny. He took my prior set off and asked me what I wanted to do with my nails. I was going to do what I had done previously (at my old salon back home, gel powder/shellac polish on top of my real nails).. found out the price, let alone the damage I've been causing my nails and decided to go as "natural" as I could. For the first time in years, I had nubs again. Short nubs but shockingly my nails grew fast lol. Second shockingly, I liked them?!? Weird, I know. Today, I went in again, saw Jennifer. She did my second shellac manicure and I am even more impressed. She was patient with my color choices and the arrangement I wanted them to go in. You should definitely come here if you like wasting your money to be fair, my pedicure was good and did last a decent amount of time... but I got a gel manicure that started peeling literally the next day and was completely peeled off before the end of the week. I've gotten many gel manicures and have only had one other time be worse than this one. I thought about calling and asking them to fix it but based on other reviews I didn't really think it would be worth it. Besides, it would probably just peel off again. I've learned over the many times I've gotten gel manicures that there is a technique to applying the gel polish in a way that it doesn't touch the skin around the nails which prevents peeling. If I could leave zero Stars I would this place is an absolute joke I called and made an appointment they never mentioned once that they were not doing any massage for their pedicures which I would have been fine with however I am not okay with the fact they charged me $40 to literally just cut my nails spray some liquid on that and then do a 5-minute soaking wax I've never paid so much for so little usually I get more than that for 20 to 25 bucks to top that they never handed me a menu or give me any options or told me the price prior to sitting me in the chair when I heard $40 I double taped and asked they said it's because of covid !?????? They clearly do not know how to do simple nail art. They drill your cuticles til you bleed and take too long. They didn't even do what we asked them to and made our nails streaky and straight up ugly. Do not go here there are rude and judgy and over price all their nails. read more

Not a great experience unfortunately. I wanted to give a local salon a try today for a pedicure to just relax and treat myself. I had gel previously and when she went to remove today she did not use the normal foil and remover she only used the dermal tool. She went to far down on 2 of my toe nails down to the tissue underneath When I asked her to stop and asked why she went to far down she said it was fine and she would paint over it. I did also call over the gentleman that works there and he seemed to agree it was too much nail sanded off but said the gel can make the nail thin, ok I know that but i have only had gel 2 times and if that was the case she should not have sanded to the meat under my nail. Both toes are totally sore and painful. Totally bummed I will not go back. read more
