I used to love this place they always did the best job on my eyebrow waxing.. but they completely ruined my eyebrows today. I asked to just shape them (like I always do) now they are paper thin. I came in yesterday for a gel fill and a pedicure. Simple ask. One job. Two services. The pedicure was actually lovely. Calm, relaxing, no notes. If this review were only about the pedicure, we'd be on much friendlier terms. Unfortunately, the nail service was a very different experience. From the start, the technician was extremely aggressive with the file and repeatedly nicked my skin. It hurt. I asked her to be more gentle. She continued with the same pressure and technique. Then things took a turn. She put foil on my nails to soak them off. I immediately told her I did not want my nails removed and that I only wanted a fill. She insisted she wasn't taking them off and said this was part of the fill process. I don't get my nails done often, so I trusted her. Spoiler alert: it was not a fill. After my pedicure, the foil came off and my nails literally fell off. I was really upset and reiterated that I never wanted my nails removed. She said it was fine and that she would "fix it," but I told her I did not want a full new set. She then went back in with the drill and once again kept nicking my skin, despite me repeatedly asking her to be more careful. At that point, I was done. My hands were sore, my patience was gone, and my nails were... gone too. I told her I would pay for the pedicure and leave. She then charged me for nail removal, a service I never asked for and explicitly said I did not want. So I left with: * No nails * Sore fingers * A bill for a service I didn't request * And a pedicure I actually liked, which feels ironic now I will not be returning. If you are someone who values clear communication, gentle technique, and keeping the nails you walked in with, this may not be the place for you. read more

Molly did my gel manicure this morning and did not disappoint! she is efficient and thorough enough to my liking. it was my first time here, so i was skeptical. i made an appointment at 10 and the staff arrived a minute or two after that. they greeted me kindly and sat me quickly. Molly got to me pretty quickly and was kind about me changing my mind on the polish color. she also recommended a great color to put under the purple glitter i chose! it was a great idea and i'll be back! thank you! read more

This was the worst pedicure I have ever experienced, to start off the foot bath was not wiped out after each use and also didn't have a liner on it. The water was luke warm and never got hotter (even when asked), and had been open drained on the floor behind the chairs that splashed and got everywhere behind the chairs, leaving a disgusting mess. The front desk lady was very rude and their prices were so expensive (extra 30$ for gel French tip?) and not very many polish options (and most of the polish that I chose were old). The gel cure wasn't even a curing machine, it looked like you took the led light strip off the wall and just put it on the bottom of the table wtf! When the guy final came over to start my pedicure he had kept taking his phone and texting, which made me very uncomfortable (he countined texting the entire time) was he taking pictures of my feet! Ew! Next the guy was not gentle at all and the massage he was giving actually hurt (might be my preference but I felt it was rough). When he started to paint my toe nails he took his gloves off and the tools he used you put in a steril package and they weren't even sealed. The over all cleanliness of the business was less than desirable, the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in months. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would go as far to say this place should be shut down. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have been trying to come here since March. The first time they told me no was understandable seeing as tho I wanted birthday nails randomly the day before my birthday in the late afternoon of course they were busy. So I get it. I came again. Early. Willing to wait. I waited 40 min before they spoke to me again. Asking what I wanted (fullest, gel pedicure) again...walk in.. They said ok. I waited ANOTHER 40 MINUTES!! AND THEN I WALKED OUT. I tried a few other places in Auburn but still not super happy. Willing to try again I call days in advance for an apt. The man tells me come at 930am. I show up at 930 place doesn't open till 10. So I wait around. Go in and there must have already been 10 people in chairs. Like dam I tried to walk in at 9:55 and it was busy... They lady was rude about it. Made me feel like crap when it wasn't even my fault. They literally laughed at me. I was about to walk out and had to tell them u can't treat people like that. So rude. I cant even believe I tried more than once. I never do that. Ended up going to Pampered nails. Check the reviews there! read more

Ta nails ! After a horrible experience at a nail salon in Auburn I went to Ta nails . Unbelievably fabulous! Jason did a nail dip that is perfect and checked in all the way ! Stay AWAY from this salon! While I was there, a worker spilled polish all over a woman's skirt, there was a scene... so that was happening. Meanwhile, I received one of the worst pedicures ever. No processes were in place for sanitation. The water was slimy and lukewarm. Then when she went to rinse my feet, she used scalding hot water spraying my feet and ankles until I yelled it's too hot!! She was way too rough with the callous remover and my feet have red irritation marks from her treatment and are sore (I'm writing this the next day). She also did a poor job removing stray cuticles and I have a few little hangers sticking out that were not there before the pedicure. I later noticed there were spots of polish on my skin that she didn't tend to. It felt dirty and now I'm worried about disease. They were rude, unprofessional, and acted put out. The prices were ridiculous!! The stones were not hot and she didn't seem to know what she was doing with them. I could say more bad things, but you get the idea. Do not go here!!!! read more

Well first of all let me say this place was sanitary, which is the most important thing to me. My friend and I met up for pedicures, my treat. Her toes looked awesome, mine look like garbage. The girl hurt me three different times and acted like I was being tickle-ish. You know when somebody cut you if it burns when they spray your toes with alcohol. The surface of my toenails needed buffed out and that wasn't done so the end result was poor quality. I'm going to have to find out who to request next time. read more

My parents recently moved to grass valley so I tried out this nail salon for a gel manicure. They were nice but I was disappointed to see my nails chipped three days later. I thought I'd give them a second try this morning. I picked one color, they didn't have it. Picked another color, they didn't have it. That continued on for FIVE more colors. I finally asked what colors they DID have because that seemed easier. She said they wouldn't do that. Another coworker then took the color pallet out of my moms hands for another customer to look at and that was the final straw. Went for a "special pedicure" which includes paraffin wax and a hot stone massage. The gentleman that did my pedicure did not meet the mark. I came home to find that my heels were rough and cuticles poorly cut. To top it off the started painting my nails one color, told me it wasn't good and selected another one, but never removed the allegedly bad color. Not even the massage can be called good. He just rubbed a hot stone in circles around my ankle. Not worth the $50 plus tip. My mother was with me too and her experience was not any better with a different technician. read more

Amazing service!! I am from out of town and while visiting family my nails started lifting and coming off!! I called and was able to do a walk in for a full set, using the dipping powder. They did an amazing job, taking their time and making sure I was thrilled with my nails. Which I am!! I only wish the shop was close to napa so it could become my regular shop! I was up visiting my parents and tried this place after the great reviews I was told. And I agree and then some, it's FANTASTIC! Great welcome, very detailed, relaxing, and you can even have bubbles while you get your pedicure in their fabulous massage chairs. Wow, I have never been so pissed in my life. The language barrier was completely ridiculous. I received a good pedicure. I however have severe nerve damage in my feet due to extreme chemotherapy. I told them no heat on my feet whatsoever. They smiled and nodded. I thought they understood. Wrong! They lit me up like the 4th of July with hot water and hot rocks. I freaked and stopped them. I told them I wanted a full set of new nails. They started to just paint my screwed up, broken nails without tipping them. Then they had the nerve to charge me for their screw up. Has any one ever been charged $30.00 dollar's for removing six previous old nails? Well, I WAS!! I THOUGHT Their business practices were beyond awful! I just moved up to Nevada City from San Francisco and have tried several salons in town. This is the best place with excellent service. Adam and Jessica are very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend you try the Powered Dip Nail as a replacement to Gel Nails. It costs $45 and lasts three weeks. Also, there is no injury to your nail upon removal. read more

I was driving to Sacramento before to get my nails done because I felt there was no quality salons up here that offered what I wanted until this salon came along. TA nails is beyond amazing! Normally I have good experiences at this nail shop but yesterday was not one of them. 28 for a full set seems reasonable until all the extras. My nails are long so usually it's 5 dollars extra for long nails that was fine, but then they want to charge me 5 dollars to shape my nails???? Meaning filing them??? Shouldn't that be part of the 28 dollar base price. Then 16 for gel polish which is fine then another 5 dollars for gold chrome.....now this is my problem. If you are gonna charge for extra things make sure you know how to apply them properly only a day after paying 60 dollars now for a full set my nails look weeks old already the gold is wearing off and wasn't even properly applied to the side of my nails.
