Won't go back! They overcharge. I went in for a pedicure. The pedicure option I chose was $47 that included several items, including a sugar scrub, hot stone, mud mask, parifin wax, along with the main item(s) included in the title. Anyway, a mud mask was Not performed--even though it included. Upon payment, I was not given a receipt, but it obviously included the tip because the total was $59!! At the very least, I should have received a discount for services included but not rendered. I could have/should have objected to the charges but regardless, they should Always offer a receipt, explain extra charges and/or make it clear the reason for the higher total. Nope!! Not.Going. Friendly attendants. The pedicure was very nice and comfortable. It was my first, and I'm normally ticklish, but I was not tickled once! They expertly trimmed my ingrown toenails (my big toes), and there was much less pain than when I do them at home. Will definitely be using again. My feet have never looked or felt better. Thanks! read more

Vincent did my nails. It's been close to a week and they are withstanding! I am not one to get lots of or any designs but I love my natural look with acrylic. It's best to pay with cash if you can before going they've been having issues with connectivity w/cards and Apple Pay. It was very clean and overall "Fresh" lol I will be back! They upcharge wrongfully and argue with you about what's on your nails. Charged to remove gel and was regular polish. Lady left and went on to do someone else without saying a word like I'm a mind reader and got upset I asked if she was finished because no top coat and bad polish job. They are obvious about talking about customers too. Speak to you at the end of your service when paying. Otherwise invisible. Disappointed and won't be returning. read more

Not a friendly welcome. This was our first time coming here. My friend got a pedicure and she was rough and when she pointed out something on her toe the technician moved her hand away and said I know I know in a very rude tone. I went in and got a pedicure and full set, the pedicure went great. For my full set I showed a picture of a set that was pointy almond. The guy doing my nails assured me they would be pointy almond several times. He did try and accommodate me and paint my nails a solid color instead of the design, but I decided that he could leave them plain since I would go to another salon to fix them... well I still got charged $45 for plain nails!!!! Which is ridiculous I will not be going back here! read more

Literally again, this nail salon is amazing and a lifesaver! I made the mistake of trying a different salon today and they literally ruined my nails, I came in to fresh nails and the nail tech fixed them and everybody was so nice even though I was there 40 minutes before closing. I'm definitely never going to any other salon again. read more

I loved this place for years, until I didn't...I've got good service and results on pedicures, full sets, gel nails and a few others here before. Their quality of service has greatly declined since reopening from COVID. The last time I was a bit unhappy with how my nails had turned out and being cut on a few fingers from the nail file constantly going over my cuticles. Today I had scheduled an early appointment 9:30, which is their opening time. Only a few other appointments were there during that time. There were 4 other employees sitting around with how empty it was but that didn't stop my nail tech from rushing and cutting my cuticles from the nail file again. Two nail techs worked on my nails because my original nail tech went to the restroom and another lady started on my acrylics. She finished an entire hand when the other lady came back. They fought a bit. One lady smacked the other on the hand and finally moved. My other hand looked completely different in thickness of acrylic. I asked my nail tech to go back and shave down some acrylic bumps on the sides of my nails, which she did but in a rude manor. She was an older lady with glasses and I believe she was having a hard time seeing the fine details. She painted my nails finally and they came out a bit uneven. My friend has been suggesting another nail salon in downtown Marysville. It's time for me to finally change salons. Cut cuticles, uneven nail thickness and uneven polish. The entire nail session also took 1.5 hours (9:30-11:05am) read more

Bad attitudes and terrible service! The quality of their work is trash and they yelled at my 5-year-old niece for accidentally moving her hand before they were finished drying. They had my niece crying and NEVER APOLOGIZED. The lady was mad and said "that's why kids should get gel nails because they can't sit still." My niece is a very calm kid and we've taught her to be respectful. If you can't do kids nails DON'T DO THEM! Simple. No one apologized. The quality of their work is not worth the disrespect. The design was so ugly. read more

Really bummed because I loved going here but I don't think I'll come back unless it's for a pedicure as my pedicures have always been good. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time while my mom was taken right back to get her appointment started. My nails came out okay but when it came time for the design I asked for the lady was having trouble doing it and attempted multiple times without success. I let another lady know I wasn't happy how things were going and the salon had the same gal attempt again. I gave up and just had her leave them and ended up going elsewhere. read more

I had a 4:30pm appointment today. I arrived a few minutes early and checked in. nobody offered to let me see the nail polish or any communication was provided. I got up and walked over to the nails and picked out the nail polish that I liked and sat back down and waited and waited and waited. finally nearly 30 minutes later, I walked out. very unprofessional to see new customers after I have been waiting so long. With a new work schedule I failed to schedule an appointment in advance with Champaka Nails & my nails took a beating. I gave this salon a chance. I take into consideration all salons were hit with being closed for months. As busy as they were there was no way for distancing but, they did their best with the fiberglass dividers. I asked for oval & hadn't quite paid attention when I left. I called asking if I could come in the next day after work (Understanding they were busy). The Gentleman encouraged me to return right away. I trusted it would be made completely right by shaping my nails a little better. Maybe square are easier than oval here. While I let this Gentleman know they were better it was only to not embarrass him in his busy salon. I think we both knew they were not symmetrical even after he attempted to fix someone else's work. Lesson learned for me to be more assertive and a Customer lost for this business. Now I know I can make an appointment online with Champaka nails and will not be going anywhere else ever. read more

$35 for basic gel manicure. It wasn't too bad at first, the shaping was nice but it's been about 5 days and the gel at the nail bed is already starting to peel quite a bit. Service itself was ehh. Totally understand if you have stuff going on and have a business but the lady doing the manicure stopped what she was doing 7-8 times to check and reply to text messages which just seemed kinda excessive. I only had to wait about 15 minutes before they took me back at least. Very unlikely that I would go back. read more

Updated review: I used to love this nail salon prior to COVID; however since reopening the owner has grossly overbooked customers. I had an appointment and watched 4 other people walk in with my same appointment time in addition to walk ins. We were all made to between 30 minutes to one hour before we were seated and asked to pick a color. After choosing a color we still waited for a nail technician to begin our service. The owner never apologized or did anything to acknowledge the situation. I made an appointment because I had things to do and did not have the time to waste. If I'd known my service would be delayed an hour, I would have rebooked. I'm so disappointed with the service and will probably not be returning. read more

So many high stars from limited reviewing yelpers huh? Impossible I say! Fake accounts, Friends and families won't save your business when you dish out rude service. Go ahead and compare my activity on yelp vs their fake accounts with limited reviews and activity. I'm an active and honest Yelper and my number of 150+ reviews and 1,000+ photos speaks for itself!! Out of the hundreds of pedicures I've gotten in my life I have NEVER received a 20 second scrubbing on the heels of my feet! When I asked why so short the nail tech attempts to upsell me to the $5 callous removal solution twice, uh NO! How many times and ways do you want me to say no! Spa pedicure description says it includes heel scrubbing, do what you advertise! 20 seconds does not count. She then had the nerve to question why I was taking a photo of my pedicure when she hadn't cleaned up the "color" around it? I said I'm not worried about the color. I didn't feel like I had to explain myself why I'm taking a photo of my own feet either. Can a customer take a photo of their feet without jumping to conclusions that its to post a negative review based on that?! And before I left she had to mention this again, making sure I understood she was not finished removing the color from my feet when I took that photo. They make each technician ring you out to add pressure on you to tip in front of them. I tried to pay with a different technician already at the register and the guy quickly told my nail tech to ring me out instead. SHADY business that only cares to get every dime out of you!!! 30 minutes pedicure, 40 minute wait with an appointment. Poor customer service. Doesn't speak to you after walking in except to ask for what type of service and tell you to "take a seat" but there's only two waiting chairs and awkwardly located in the middle of the place. Newly built with a nice decor but rots of bad customer service and even worse actual nail care by a bad attitude nail technician! Wished I could tell you her name but I can't because she gave me a fake one. read more

They were very friendly when I went in initially and greeted me with my reservation. They had gotten pretty busy I sat an waiting in the chair for my pedicure for about 20 minutes before someone set the water for me and another lady to put our feet in. The paint job on my toes were very messy it looks like I did it with my non dominant hand. When it came time for my full set I chose a light pink it was very streaky and see through in some spaces and the nail tech tried to convince me that it was because of the new polish and it had too much oil in it. If I didn't speak up nothing would've been done about it. I asked him to take off the color and start over. He took it off but then sent me to another lady to do the second color so he could take a different client that got there after me (which makes no sense to me, although she had a "funner" set than I did but still. It makes it very hard to tip between three different people) I got to the lady to do my new color and she also rushed through and left paint on the sides of my nails. Overall I was no where near impressed. How upsetting the ratings were so great. read more

EDIT: 12/03/18 Disappointed in my recent visit to their salon. Had a party of four (4 pedis, 2 manis, and 2 acrylic sets). The pedis were great (warning, there was a $12 upcharge for gel color) but the manis/sets were sloppy. The place was getting busier as people constantly flowed in and were being asked to come back later. ***Two out of four of us were cut multiple times and cuticles were trimmed too far that skin bled. We all had poor, rushed paint jobs. I ended up having blotches in mine. They were extremely busy and I quite frankly did not want to have everyone wait more to have them completely repainted. On top of that, we all paid separately but one person who finished first (and was rung up immediately paid after) was asked THREE TIMES on whether she paid and despite saying YES AND the employee who did her nail job was asked on top of this if she paid. It's not the least expensive place, but use to be worthwhile for the great job but unfortunately the wait isn't worth the sloppy nail jobs. It's disappointing in how much I use to love this nail salon. read more

I tried to do a walk in this Friday morning and ended up having to schedule my gel manicure and deluxe pedicure for that afternoon. Definitely call ahead to book an appointment with them so you don't have a wait. The spa is very clean and the chairs are in great condition. It's been a struggle trying to find a decent nail salon around here, so I was skeptical about coming here. I opted for a deluxe pedicure and classic manicure. First impression I had when I walked in was a good one. The place is bigger and cleaner than the other salons around here I've been to. The greeting I got was friendly and warm. I was a walk in and didn't have to wait at all. The pedicure was fantastic. The nail tech did a really great job and didn't rush through it. The manicure was also good. The price was decent for both. Would I come back? Sure. So why only 3 stars? I didn't realize until I got into my car that the nail polish on my hands started to bubble, the worst being on my left thumb. I didn't have time to go back in to have it fixed but if I had the time I would've. I'd like to give them another chance since I had no other issues. read more

Will not return. Normally go to a salon in Sac but I didn't have time so I made an appt here. Pedicure was decent, the polish was a lil messy but I got a nude color so you really couldn't tell so I didn't trip. I got a gel manicure, it consisted of my fingers in a bowl of cool water for about three minutes, followed by my nails being buffed with the machine and the squishy block. Without dusting the shavings off my hand and arm, she quickly squirted lotion on my arms and hands and started rubbing in...before I could get the words out. Like why are you lotioning all the shavings in my skin. She painted my nails. Polish dried under the li all on the sides of my fingers, it was so damn messy. Then she said all done, I looked at her and said can you clean up my fingers, polish crust, dry and all. She's like just wash hands so now I'm scraping my fingers and washing them to get this shit off. When I'm done, the guy who sked appts was waiting at the register and said $80 with a rude tone. I just let it go because maybe it was a long day. But nah, rude & mediocre service but they want to charge you every dime. Filing is crooked and polish dried lumpy and bumpy. read more
