In my 11 years on Yelp, this is my first time reviewing a business I didn't even try yet but this needs to be said: Extremely poor customer service. I attempted to find this location while on a break from the hospital, but my GPS was lagging. When I called for help with directions, the person on the phone (maybe the owner idk) was incredibly dismissive. Despite their hours saying 'Open,' she told me she was on a 1.5-hour lunch break. When I tried to clarify the location, she told me she 'never had anyone have this issue' and asked if I was even from here. She eventually hung up on me. STEER CLEAR OF LINDA YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. I wish I could leave zero or negative stars. 1 star is way too high for this "salon". Linda is crazy, rude, unprofessional, and downright senile! I called her on 12/28 asking if she did dip or hard gel. She said she doesn't do dip because it's bad for your nails but she does do hard gel. I asked her how much and she said $35-40. The only reason I went to her is because of the price she offered me. I wrote it down in my notes and told her great I'd like to book an appointment for the next day. She was very talkative on the phone but I thought she was just overly friendly. I should have known better. She told me to call her when I got to the parking lot. I get to the parking lot and call her and she doesn't answer so I find my way up. I get to her suite and she immediately starts talking down to me about how nobody listens anymore do they. I said that I did call you when I got here. She checked her phone and it was on do not disturb. I felt odd about her speaking to me like that but at this point I had a babysitter at home, was already there and she had offered me a good price so I just went along with the appointment. She took about 20 minutes to start my appointment talking in circles about her goodwill finds, drawing me a diagram about hair follicle growth (like how is this even relevant to nails?) and saying that my nails made her stomach sick. She finally started the appointment and would stop and go on tangents every 5 minutes. She was extremely irritating to be around let alone have a service done by when you're on a time crunch and 37 weeks pregnant with two toddlers at home. She made many racist remarks against Vietnamese nail salon workers and comparing curly hair to "hair of people of color" (direct quote). It finally comes time to pay and I confirmed if it was going to be $35 or $40 and she started losing it on me, berating me, calling me a jumper and telling me to get out of there if I didn't pay her pricing. I told her that we spoke the day before and she had quoted me $35-40 for hard gel so why was she changing it now? She denied ever saying that and said she even added extra services (which she didn't) and the price was $60. She told me to either not pay and leave and don't leave her a bad review and never go back to her again or pay her pricing. I wasn't going to leave there without paying while she was legitimately having a mental breakdown or something so I paid the $60, did NOT add any tip and left. Again, being 37 weeks pregnant and having active contractions I just wanted to go somewhere and have a relaxing time while getting my nails done but instead got hustled, berated, talked down to, criticized and insulted. I even left my really nice brumate water jug there and don't even want to deal with this psycho lady to go back and get it. The manicure itself was pretty bad. The hard gel she cured is uneven and lumpy in many spots and she had no pink nude colors to put on top so it doesn't even look like I got my nails done. This was just the worst nail salon experience of my life and I am definitely taking this up with American Express because to pay $60 to be mistreated in such a way with a shitty manicure will never sit right with me. I'm attaching photos of my nails the very next day, the hard gel is already lifting in certain places and the shaping and paint job look like my 3 year old son did it. Another poor girl called her in the middle of my appointment to book a same day full set with her and linda was so rude to her too. I hope she didn't book. I have no idea who this lady thinks she is but she belongs in a mental institution, not running a business. I have no idea how she thinks she can talk to and treat people like this. I am definitely going to try to call the cosmetology board and have this lady reported and looked into. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE ABSOLUTE TORTURE THIS LADY IS. Also, her "salon" is a small cramped room in a weird building, not comfortable or relaxing to be in at all. Just DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

I called on a Sunday to make an appointment to get my Ears Pierced. I was surprised to have someone answer the phone. I thought for sure I'd get an answering machine. I explained that I was pretty nervous about it as I had them pierced years ago and one ear got infected. She set my mind right at ease as she explained the procedure in detail. She was able to get me in right away - the Next Day. On my appointment Linda was very precise in the piercing and gave me complete follow-up instructions. Urged me to call if I have any problems. In most situations when you answer the phone and can't hear you say hello hello. But you didn't And assumed I was a telemarketer. So who's assuming who in this situation here. Not me. I have known Linda for 20 years. I reluctantly am leaving this review due to her harassment at the end of the appointment, and want to bring it to the light so she knocks it off. I was there 10 minutes before Linda - My appt was at 11, a basic mani/pedi no polish to remove, no trimming, etc took her 2 hours. I was told a story about a client yesterday who did a no show after Linda called her to change the appt and the client could not accommodate. Then charged her $80 for a missed appt to her CC on file. Told the client also if she left a review she would contact her brother who is a Lawyer. Pedicure: If you are looking for a spa chair, move on. You sit in a hair stylist chair with a mobile pedicure bath tub thing, without a liner. Yea she will show her sanitizing it after, but who knows before. You can not walk barefoot on her floor so do not take your shoes off until she tells you. Your pedicure is not like those at typical places. Misses a lot of the parts that people love about pedis, like the warm towel, sugar scrub etc. Lotion she will done after your nails right before you leave. When your feet are done you are now allowed to put your feet on her dirty floor... Manicure: I got a gel mix polish manicure. Basic service, did not set the polish between. A nick happened on one finger and she blamed me and reluctantly put nail polish remover on it to smooth it out then a glob of polish in the hole. Due to the polish not getting set and the polish still being soft now 4 of the nails have nicks in them and did when I was in the parking lot. Now, came time to pay Linda as I care about her I was still going to tip her even though she should have fixed the messed up nail, and not talked so bad about other clients or people in her life in front of a customer. Well, her process is on her phone, not a card scanner or any of the new technology available today. Then it said unable to authorize on both my Credit card and my debit card. She shammed me and made me feel like I did not have the money so I logged into my bank and showed her I had over 100x what she was charging sitting in the bank. So rudely she would not help me try to figure out how to get back and try a different zip code in case that was the problem and told me to go to the bank. I offered to pay via fb pay or Venmo and no she is not able to take anything if her payment program is not working. I immediately brought her back the cash and said sorry no tip this was absolutely rude service, and that she really needed to get with the times and get a better way for customers to pay. She then followed me out yelling at me in the lobby and literally said not to leave a review and if I do she will get her lawyer (brother) involved. So needless to say in 2 days she has at least threatened two people with a lawyer. I did call my bank and credit card, and they both did not even get a ping for a payment and said that it sounds like her system was not working, which could make since considering she did an unauthorized charge. I recommend everyone look at her reviews. Also, Linda I recommend you get a better way to handle customers, sorry you have so many negative things to say about the Asian locations and their lack of English but I am sorry they do a nice job compared to what I received today. By the way, Artistic Nails is a single employee entity. I read her other reviews and she keeps talking in the "we" sense. No, the owner is who these complaints are about. read more

I had a horrible experience with Linda! I'm a bit hard of hearing,!! I called and an appointment to my nails and toes done before my Anniversary Vacation with my husband!! Day of my appointment, I called Linda , from what I thought was her address! Linda answered the phone saying ( Don't you ever check your messages? ) I said pardon me Linda, I have no messages from you! I could hear Linda speaking to me as well as someone else! Something, was very negative about Linda's tone! But I thought hey she's just having a bad day and made an appointment for Sunday at 1:00pm! Sunday I was there but got turned around , so I called her! I was not late ! From the time I walked into her tiny establishment, I could not do nothing correct! Offered me wine to drink? I said no I'm driving! Linda's a racist 1st she said I smelled like cigarettes and was making her nauseous! I washed my hands and face, I have 1 bad foot so I said to Linda you might want to look at my bad foot? Linda replied, tell me my job again and your out , there's the door!! Linda's hand motioned toward colors of polish, I assumed Linda meant pick your color! When I touched the nail polish, Linda was furious at me!! Linda's way to negotiate! Before I knew it , Linda said get out now! !!!!!!!! Linda kept asking me questions if she were a doctor! I was so insulted I grabbed my purse and said ! I'm out of here! Usually, I don't go to yelp to talk about my bad experience at a business but after having my birthday nails butchered, I am pretty upset. I called initially asking to get my acrylics removed and a new set put on due to my thumb nail having broken. Linda told me that we wouldn't need toremove them all and she could just fix the one. I arrived at 5, our appointment was at 5:15, I waited in the lobby until about 5:45. Not a huge deal as I'm a pretty patient person. Once I get in there and get seated, Linda continuously is talking me out of the designs I wanted and had asked about earlier on the phone. She said she liked something more basic... again not a huge deal if you can't do the design work I asked for hours prior I'll just go for a basic pink color. So we have finally figured out a color and she starts working on my nails and grinding them down a bit. 1. She was using the grinder too high and it burnt my nail so I pulled away. Told her it got hot and hurt but kept going. 2. My thumbs have never liked being yanked and twisted while getting my nails done so I always try to make it a little easier on her as well as my own comfort. She proceeded to tell me I'm not listening but when it hurt I couldn't sit through it. 3. MY NAILS ARE ALL DIFFERENT SHAPES, after I had repeatedly asked if she could fix the shape. She proceeded later on to talk negatively about past customers, other nail salons in the area and how this one lady didn't tip her. It was extremely unprofessional. Later on to payment, A fill and color change shouldn't ever cost $60 especially with what I received. I could've waited until the morning to go to Bless or GV Nails for half the price and at least a smile on my face from not being dissapointed. So thank you Linda, I was so excited to have some super cute birthday nails to then walk out with bumpy, streaky, and uneven nails that I am extremely embarrassed to have! read more
