Cannot say enough about these folks. We had a tree fall on our house a couple of weeks ago, but the impact seemed minimal and the insurance adjuster was dragging their feet. Eder recently replaced the boots on our vents on the roof. He came when we inquired, after seeing a small mold spot on our ceiling. He quickly scaled our roof (we even likened him to Spider-Man), and diagnosed the issue- degraded vent boots on four of the vents, not just around the spot we found. He was available the quickest of the several quotes we requested and was able to complete the job before several other places could even come look at the project. Eder was very quick to reply to any communication, and was proactive about updating me when the time of arrival changed. When he and his partner arrived, they were professional, kind, and did great work as far as we can tell! He showed us photos of the finished product. They cleaned up very well after themselves. Eder was straight up and exactly what we needed. He didn't try to upsell us to a new roof- he said our roof is good and encouraged us to treat it for moss to make sure it stays good. Needed skylights replaced. Eder is very responsive. From requesting quote to getting it done took 2 days. Better value than others considering prompt scheduling and getting the job done. The job to replace 3 skylights took less than 1 hour. Wow! Update 1: The skylights had leak. When we did roof cleaning, bunch of debris came into the house. Bad work quality The worst part is, when I asked Eder to fix it, he said he'll come on every single day for a week and he didn't show up. Update 2: Eder came on 7th day to add extra layer of seal to make sure stuff doesn't get in. We have tested with hose to make sure water is not coming in. We asked 7 roofing companies in the Seattle area to quote on roof and gutter replacement. Most of the companies used Certainteed materials and all offered the same warrantees on materials and installation. All the companies were rated 4.5, or higher, on Yelp. All were licensed contractors in the State of Washington, and none had any complaints recorded with Better Business Bureau. So, the real difference between the 7 roofing firms was their labor costs and their profit. Monumental Roofing LLC was the least expensive of the seven by nearly 30%. We hired Monumental Roofing to repair the side gutters on our house that gets the most rain. We had a tree hit it before and the gutter had to be replaced. I had a leaky roof and Eder was quick to respond to my Yelp request. He came out the same day to assess the situation and had a small team here the following day to perform the basic repairs. Unfortunately during the repair, they noticed the issue was much more severe and he showed me pictures to prove it. I had rotting plywood and areas where water was running through the nails. Unfortunately a full roof replacement was needed to avoid further damage. Although I was disappointed as the repair work became a much larger job, Eder was clear in explaining why and how the rotting happened in the first place, and what he would do differently to prevent the issue from recurring. This included material changes, better drainage, and an improved ventilation system. Despite the higher cost for a full roof replacement, his prices are still very reasonable and competitive based on the size of the job and quality of the materials. With the upcoming rain, Eder made sure he had most of his team out so the entire job was done in just 3 days. The roof now looks amazing! It was also very helpful that he has a lot of connections with many other reputable home repair businesses. As an example, he reached out to Artisteo Painting and Remodeling to come out to do some drywall and repaint work. Manny and Jose did an amazing job with that so I want to give them a shout-out as well. We did not know this company before randomly selecting them off the Internet to give us an estimate, and we're sure glad we did. Monumental Roofing (Owner Eder) came out to give us a detailed estimate. We appreciated his expert and specific advice about attic venting and roofing colors. Eder presented multiple options, and he is a good listener and communicator. We decided on CertainTeed Landmark Pro Max Def Moire Black for the shingles, and we're really happy with it. We chose Monumental Roofing out of multiple estimates because the company is not too large so we thought the quality control would be good, and it was! The price was very reasonable (not in the high range). The crew came exactly on the day and time arranged. The crew was organized, worked together extremely well, had positive attitudes, were efficient, and we enjoyed having them here. They worked long and hard. They cleaned up well afterwards. It's always good for the owner to check your property for a few nails that escape from your old roofing - but the crew got nearly all of them, too! Eder came by to check on things throughout the process. When we had a question or wanted something done slightly differently, he was immediately responsive and helpful. Our house project involved about 29 squares of roofing, with multiple valleys, ridges and 5 dormers - a complex residential job. The end result is sharp, straight lines, and beautiful.
