Love love love Monte's!!! The food is delicious!! The portions are huge and omg it's so so good!!!! They deliver. Their prices are reasonable and did I mention the food is delicious!! Because THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!!

The chicken bacon ranch pizza. I will admit, I like the snowflake placement of the Kraft singles, it made me smile a little.

So we ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza for delivery and we received an Oops Only Ranch with a bunch of kraft singles melted on top. Not to exaggerate, but this is offensive to the cuisine of several cultures and is an embarrassment to pizza in general. Idk if the cheese is being used to summon a spiritual Avatar of Guy Fieri but it looks terrible and tastes as bad as it looks. The worst part is the reservoirs of oil that can be found in each slice. I hope you like the flavor of a mouthful of olive oil because that's what you will be gargling with two bites in. There is just WAY to much ranch, and the crust is too thin so everything slides off when you tempt the devil and actually grab a slice of this monstrosity. We also ordered a regular pizza which tasted alright. The one star I have to include in this review is dedicated to that beacon of hope which is our regular pizza, which unfortunately can't feed everyone in our group. I'd order from this place again if it was for people who wronged me.

Overdone. This should not be served. Both my wife and I tossed our slices.

My wife and I decided to give Monte's a try today. We both had a regular slice in addition to a deep dish slice for me and a white slice for my wife. We both enjoyed the deep dish and white slices. They were very tasty and the crust was done just right. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the regular slices. Both were very much overdone. The bottom of the slices were pretty much burnt. Both slices were barely eaten. The place is small, but it has adequate seating for about six groups of people. It's a few stores down from Ralph's Ices so that's a plus.

Ordered out and had the mozzarella sticks, chicken panini and chicken pasta dish. Forget exactly what it was but I did not like it. I had a feeling it was going to be bad just by the way it looked. The only thing I liked was the mozzarella sticks but they weren't shaped like sticks, they were more like cutlets. But I guess that's the least of their problems. I wouldn't recommend this place, sorry!

Was pretty pleased with the size of the slices but the crust was too soft/pale in color and it lacked flavor.

Basic pizza. Ciros is literally one minute away and leaps and bounds better. Montes is solid but with the competition it doesn't hold up.

An okay pizza place. There are better places nearby. A bit expensive for a pie that is undersized.

It's beautifully pillowy with a crisp undercarriage. It's perfectly oily without being greasy. It's (IMO) too saucy which tends to make it a little sloppy but it's a balanced sauce of sweet and tart with just the right amount of cheese. Their regular pie is a benchmark pie for Long Island pizza. It's just right. No notes. The chicken parm and meatball parm heroes are also benchmark sandwiches. I judge all heroes against theirs. Personally, I prefer the chicken parm, but it's a 1A/1B situation. There's no wrong choice. My only complaint would be that I wish they were a little bit larger.

It means buyer beware. But when it comes to dishes, you might have noticed there is no pasta with my Chicken Parm. That's because the Chicken Parm is $32 freaking dollars if you order it with pasta. The owner and staff seem super friendly, but I have never in my life seen this price for Chicken Parm and pasta. I told the owner that and he said it's $16 and change for the Chicken Parm and $15 and change for the pasta. If you don't know, after alcohol, an Italian restaurant's biggest profit margin is pasta. For this restaurant, it might be number one. Pasta is incredibly cheap to make so the markup here is beyond insane. The price for pasta is so high that they almost definitely miss the ideal price point. In other words, this price will drive down orders and keep customers away. At a lower price point, it will drive more groups of people spending more money. Aside from that, the food is excellent and I still recommend this place. It really is great food. Just don't order pasta.

From start to finish, the service was excellent. Our waitress was super friendly and sweet, especially when my nephew decided he didn't want to share a pizza with me (how rude). She laughed with me and quickly brought him his own cheese slice, which made him happy! We started with drinks. My nephew had apple juice, and I got the Montauk Wave Chaser on tap. For starters, we went with the mozzarella sticks. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, with gooey cheese inside, and a side of marinara. A classic done right. I tried their bruschetta slice, which I think I could eat a slice of this everyday. The crust had a hint of balsamic baked in, topped with fresh bruschetta, creamy burrata, basil, and a balsamic glaze drizzle. So good. We decided to go with the Aunt Danielle. The personal pizza was 16", perfect for sharing. Topped with vodka sauce, pepperoni, stracciatella cheese, fresh basil, and a perfect swirl of hot honey over the top. The hot honey was the star of the show here. The spicy pepperoni mixed with the hot honey, mmmm mm. I will definitely be back. This place is a Smithtown gem! Highly recommended for families or anyone who loves great pizza with a twist. I can't wait to try their wraps that you could see through the window counter.

The decor as you enter is super cute and continues throughout the entire restaurant. They have a bar, a couple tables outside on Main Street and many different types of seating in the dining room. We were there on. Friday around 4pm and there was plenty of seating. Our server was quick attentive and friendly. She was also very knowledgeable and even provided recommendations. The food came out quick and was hot. One of the meals we ordered to split and they served us with it already split on 2 separate plates. They had a creative drink menu and had many creative food options. As I'm not a huge fan or red sauce, I was happy to see that I could get any of their meals with the vodka sauce. The fried gnocchi with the truffle sauce was so good we will definitely be back again. The chicken had a light breading that didn't take away from the taste of the meal. There is street parking and a shared lot in the back. It was a wonderful experience and meal and we will be back soon!
