He does a very thorough exam every time and makes sure everything looks good with your eyes. I also appreciate that he's helped me out with extra contact packs when I've been running low. They take most insurance. I've been using VSP here with no issues. Pricing on contacts is also pretty comparable to other places, which is another reason I keep coming back. Overall a solid and reliable spot. Definitely recommend.

I've been seeing Dr. Chang for about 7 years now, great doctor always a good experience…read more My contact lens prescription expired 3 months ago (apparently they only are good for one year) and I just wanted to reorder another box until my next annual appointment in a few months. I looked up that sometimes they can do a courtesy extension of the prescription if your vision has been stable and have no issues. I asked for such an extension but was told multiple times I would have to get another contact lens exam for $160 (out of pocket) in addition to the cost of the lenses. I think that as a long time patient they should be able to accommodate such an easy request, since I would be getting my annual exam soon again anyway. It's not easy to schedule an unnecessary exam especially with a busy schedule, just to get a box of contacts. Bottom line loyalty doesn't seem to count here and maybe it's time to switch optometrists.

Dr. Dennis took his time and never made the appointment feel rushed. He went through all of my exam findings and recommendations in detail. Unlike my prior eye doctors, who never really showed me the actual pictures of my eyes, he actually brought them up and walked me through what he was looking at. Their communication setup is also super convenient--they use text messaging for updates and questions, and they are very responsive. Karen, the manager, was incredibly attentive throughout the entire glasses selection process. She clearly explained my insurance coverage and lens options so there were no surprises, and she took the time to properly adjust my frames before I left. Wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Dennis and his team to friends and family.

I recently visited the optometrist's office on a Sunday yes, they are open on Sundays. I needed an…read moreeye exam and, since I was between insurance plans, I paid out of pocket. The cost was $75, which I found very reasonable. I have been dealing with dry eyes, and the doctor conducted a thorough evaluation. He prescribed an eye gel and eye drops that have been incredibly effective. He also recommended a liquid vitamin supplement to support eye health. Since starting this regimen, I have noticed a significant improvement my eyes feel much better overall. In addition, the doctor took the time to explain how lifestyle factors can impact dry eye symptoms on a daily basis, emphasizing the importance of proper hydration. He also taught me several helpful eye exercises. I am very glad I found this office. Its convenient location near both my home and workplace makes it easy to stop by for quick visits and to restock my everyday eye care products.

I've been a returning customer at Fremont Optical, having previously bought designer frames here…read more But my recent experience was disappointing. While browsing, I was taking pictures of the glasses I was interested in ( 2 pairs ) something I've done at other optometrists to get input from my partner. The lady at the counter was unexpectedly rude, she told me I couldn't take any pictures, acting as if it was some big secret. It made me question why such secrecy over something I'm potentially buying. It left me wondering about the authenticity or transparency of their offerings. It's a shame, because I've trusted this place before, but now I'm left with doubts. It's also very outdated and old selection of glasses. Do yourself a favor and go to a newer spot especially if you're looking for designer the Gucci selection is not the best, It's outdated and clearly over priced and probably not real.
