Wouldn't recommend and the staff is very dismissive. Only decided to try this location because we live in the area. Our dryer just busted and we needed to dry clothes for work and they closed 1hr and a half before closing. First attempt. A week later we decided to walk in and dry only 2hours before closing and they DON'T allow drying only. Very frustrating especially since there was only one person in there. We've been coming here for a little over a year and NEVER had an issue there is a young man that works here who is always polite and very friendly. Today March 8 2026. We had an accident, a sock was stuck after we closed the lid. And after we locker and loaded the machine we noticed water started to come down the front of the machine. I immediately called the # listed on the door to inform them of this! While we were waiting for a call back from Nicky, we were greeted by VANNESSA who greeted herself as corporate management. Thank god there was someone here right???? WRONG.. she goes on to bicker to us about how to properly close the lid and this is what happens to people who don't pay attention. Just want existing customers and potential customers that if by accident your sock or shirt or anything gets caught in the lid once it starts it's locked and there is no going back. And to be honest after having first hand help from corporate management I felt like they don't give a rats tail. I asked her why is was necessary for her rude approach and all she did was move me out of the way like some little kid and to top it off in front or all the customers. 0/10 -- would not recommend. Not because of the facility itself, but because of the so-called manager, "Jessica" (or whatever her real name is). She was extremely rude and disrespectful from the start. I asked a simple question and was immediately met with hostility and attitude. I tried to follow up calmly to understand what I might've done to get that kind of response and de-escalate the situation, but instead I was pointed to the door and told to call the manager if I had an issue... only for her to answer the phone herself. When I asked when the manager would be in, I was told, "it's not my job to know other people's schedules." I'm not sure if others have had a similar experience, but no one should feel disrespected or harassed just trying to do something as basic (and already frustrating) as laundry. I will never EVER come back here again there is a woman staff member she is absolutely horribly rude I felt uncomfortable washing here so much so that as soon as my clothes are done washing here I'm taking them to dry else where because I get rude looks from her she's rolling her eyes acting arrogant and entitled when her job and only job that she is I am assuming to do is maintain the place clean and greet clients politely and she went ahead and did the complete opposite. We were also informed by several past clients that local Police are frequently called on a regular basis, sometimes as frequently as once a week. Laundromat is clean but it has more signs and warnings than the streets in Downtown L.A. - Witnessed an employee tell a customer at 9:50 that the laundromat was closed, he asked what time do you close, employee said 9:00. Customer was not happy. I asked the employee if that was true and he said yes, then changed it to 10:30. Was confused. I said so you're actually closed at 9:00 for incoming customers and he said yes. I said where is the signage on that, he couldn't point it out. Who does that?!?!?. Probably lost a customer. I can see why this laundromat is rated so low in both Yelp and Google. When I was there the washing machine I was trying to use wasn't working properly. It wasn't taking the money and I had already put detergent and softener beads in the machine. So I went to talk to the manager he was very rude and disrespectful and wouldn't listen to me. So I went back to the machine and started taking my clothes out of the machine and putting them in another machine. The manager came over and saw the softener beads on the floor and started yelling at me telling me I made the mess on purpose and again would not listen to me when I tried to explain. Then he told me and the people I was with we had to leave and take are laundry to another Laundromat and told us we could not come back. The place is convenient because it's close but nobody is ever there when you need assistance, it's like nobody even works here. Been coming to this laundromat for a couple years now. Maybe in the last month or so they have this new employee, blonde lady and her late 30s possibly early 40s be very rude. Talks to customers in a very condescending way. Also she doesn't follow the schedule based on the sign posted on the door says that they close at 10:30pm, however she advises customers and locks doors at 9:30pm. Instead of advising that last wash is at 9:30pm she verbatim says "we lock the doors at 9:30pm. Floors & folding tables are dirty. It wasn't like this before. Mega load is an advertised as $7.00, bif you select deluxe wash it's an additional 0.50 if you select hot water there is an additional fee and ultra would be another fee. Place is clean but pricing it not what is advertised and service poor. Would not recommend this establishment. read more

I went in when it opened up at 6am, put in my laundry, sauntered over to the PacMan Arcade machine popped in some quarters, then realized the machine has over 400 games on it, and a lot of good ones. I felt like I was back in the 80's again. Anyway FYI to you gamers, the controls on this arcade machine are top notch. Press and hold the 1 Player button and up on the joystick to get to the game menu. Dryers only require about 3 quarters to really dry. Just an alert, the button to the right (highest red) is the heat you need it at, they're not labeled the ones on the right side as you walk in. Pleasant, though it would be nice to automate the machines and use something like LaundryBoss so I don't have to keep getting quarters. Friendly people that run the wash, I think the owner was in today because her employee couldn't make it, she was very helpful. Extremely clean floors, very nice experience today. read more

Yesterday was my last day coming here. My sister drives from LA every other weekend to wash her clothes here. I was very happy when it got remodeled but there Customer Service is just plain RUDE. Yesterday my sister wanted $40 worth of quarters but the supervisor basically accused her of wanting all those quarters to take home. WHAT!!!!! My sister spends $60+ every time she comes here. They follow you and ask you how many loads your washing to then tell you how many quarters they feel you need. YEAH they just lost 2 very loyal customers. read more

So, after a long day at work, I did my laundry at home, only to find dryer broke down. It was around 10 pm, found this place that says closes at 11 pm. I thought, should be fine, only need drying. Nope, got there, an old out of shape woman said they closed, last call for wash is at 9 pm. I said I only needed to dry, to which she replied can't just dry, you HAVE to do wash and dry, and last call for wash is at 9. So ladies and gentlemen, if they catch you doing only washing or drying, you'll get kicked out, be careful. Honestly, I was at this place about an year ago, I was going to the coin changer to get some coins for washing, there was a old out of shape bald man giving me dirty looks, asked if I'm getting the coins for laundry. I'm Chinese, I look Asian, I felt horrible like I'm there to scam their quarters. The hours were convenient to my schedule. The attendant was nice and was cleaning the machines the whole time. Place is spotless and had available carts and machines. Only thing that I would change is the carts policy on a paper attached to the cart, but I get it because other places people claim 3-4 carts like if they owned it. Keep up the good work. read more

First and foremost I travel 13 miles just to wash my family's clothing. Every time I come to this location I never get disappointed it's always very clean, machines are working and the dryers are new. Another big deal to me is the change machine. I had a $20, but I didn't want to get all in quarters. The machine will give you change that to me is very convenient. I love this laundry mat because i have a peace of mind knowing that my clothes will get wash and it will also dry we'll with no problems. I have a really bad habit of not writing reviews, but I feel like it does a disservice to businesses who are doing something right because people never see the positive sides. I actually read the reviews for this place before coming in, but it's so close to my house that I decided to try anyways. I'm so glad i did! We all know most people only take the time to say something negative which is why I decided I needed to take the time to review and share my great experience. I visited Monrovia coin laundry for the first time today, and after looking around for a bit, a blonde lady approached me and asked me if it was my first time here (it was pretty obvious because I was so lost lol). She explained to me every different type of washer they have, the way to use each, and gave me a loyalty card. She was super friendly and helpful and put me at ease as I came with about 10 bags of laundry. After a while it clicked that she was the same person all the negative reviews were about. Something doesn't add up because she was a small & cute friendly little lady lol. As I waited for my laundry, I watched her interact with at least 4 customers that seemed to know her and love her, and a few other random people that she was super friendly to. Im not sure if the other negative reviews are complete lies or exaggerations, but all I can say is that is NOT an accurate depiction of the lady I met today. When I decided to come in despite the reviews, I said either 1. there is a crazy lady here that im going to kill with kindness and never come back again OR 2. people act dumb and then get mad when somebody has to remind them there are rules to every establishment. I'm so glad I came in and determined it was definitely #2. Nobody here was rude or crazy or a jail guard LOL. If she ever had to get mean, it was probably well deserved because she seems like the sweetest lady ever. ONCE AGAIN. Instead of management responding on Nextdoor and other apps. Evaluate your staff. There are multiple people complaining on the same person. Deny what you want. You need sensitivity training on your employees on how to have great customer service. This is not the way to run a business. When I spoke to her I asked her what was her issue I couldn't hear her the first time. She had an attitude. I told her multiple times my son has been there. She could've clearly stated our management team doesn't allow any customers to use the restroom anymore. I would've been fine with that but instead she chose to be rude and aggressive . Tell the truth before you speak of allegations at certain time frames making it seem like you're correct , I didn't come at her foul , I asked her what her problem was because I didn't ask her rudely. I just asked a simple question . That's where customer service comes in.The number on the door goes straight to the office. Bring back better management. You guys deserve the rating you have. I rarely leave a review but I felt disrespected by a female employee when I asked a question about the coin game they had in there. Remind you now, I asked very nicely and politely if there's a time limit for the machine and she went off about how she's tired and sick of people asking the same question and that people don't even do laundry there but they still come to play the game. I ended up apologizing to her multiple times for asking the question because I was literally scared for my life because of how she went off at me when I just asked very politely. I apologized at least probably 4 times but she was still going that's why I kept apologizing. Again, maybe she is tired of people asking her that same question but I don't think I deserve to be told off like that when I asked very politely. I understand some people are tired and probably not having a good day but there is a way to answer a question without being disrespectful. Especially to customers who asked nicely. I feel bad because she's probably exhausted but I still think it's not right to talk to anyone that way. Note to the owner: please see the CCTV on 11/7/23 at 9:00pm and maybe provide some coaching on how to talk to customers?
