The pretty lady behind the counter was so nice and took my pants alteration, but advised me that they don't take measurements. I assured her I knew my pant length so all was good. In the store, she offered me a canned soda, which was so inviting, as I was parched from all the driving I did today. The alterations would be done in less than a week! A little disappointed on this place. The information on this business shows this place offers same day. My husband dropped off three shirts, one sweater and three pants and was charged a little over $60 for jeans, a cotton sweater and construction shirts. On top of that, she was wanting to schedule a pickup for four days later and then settled for next day after 5 PM. Not worth the money or the hassle, it was the opposite of convenient. read more

Took a suit to be cleaned and the pants to get altered . they altered the pants twice ! but never cleaned it . i had to go back 3 times ! what a waste of time ! they claim they have the best coffee machine in town ! who cares ! there is an idea , what about they focus on doing a good job at cleaning and altering clothes . We have used Dri-Cal (location Foothill and Santa Anita) since moving to Arcadia 9 years ago. Service has always been excellent which in my case includes carrying laundr to the car. Stains are always pre-treated and it is oted when they cannot be removed. Value for the $ is still good overall although much higher than it was pre-pandemic. I've especially enjoyed interacting with Wendy, Kato and now Lulu over the yers. read more

i started coming here last year if not two years ago. i am a short person so i always have to get pants hemmed or dresses fixed. i dropped off a dress that went well past my knees and it was returned a blouse that doesnt even cover my bum. the alteration ticket was for $35 for one dress hem yet my account was charged $38. i have recommended this place to people who are new in the area, but never again. i dont understand how a dress can be returned as a blouse. i will definitely be getting a refund, and if not, my bank will be called. very unhappy. i will definitely be looking for a new dry cleaner/alterations place read more

(This should have been a 4-5 Star review) I have been patronizing this cleaner for many years and have been very happy with the quality of work. The current owners are very nice, and the counter employees have always been cordial. However, I would like the owner to know why I will not return. The last time I arrived to pick up my clothing, it was a Saturday afternoon, and the door was locked at approximately 15 minutes before the published closing time. I spotted an employee working in back and tapped on the window. She attempted to ignore me until she could no longer pretend I was not there. She looked up, frowned, and mouthed, "closed!" I pointed to my imaginary watch, indicating it was not closing time. Very unhappily, she walked over and unlocked the door. Although I felt I had done nothing wrong, I apologized out of courtesy as she proceeded to get my order. At that time, she immediately began a very terse rant chastising me for waiting so late in the day to pick up my cleaning, telling me I had all day to pick up my order and should have better managed my time. I apologized again, stating I had been on the west side and made sure I could get back before closing to pick up the outfit I needed. However. she just continued with her angry tone and rude and snarky comments until she locked the door behind me. I left feeling very much verbally abused by this young woman who obviously had neither respect for an obviously older woman, a senior citizen, nor for the owner's business. She stated she had been working there for 15 years, and I guessed she was tired, had had a bad day, and wanted to close early. I do not want this young lady to lose her job; obviously, she is a long-time and valued employee. None the less, I do not feel like chancing to subject myself to that treatment again. As a small business owner myself, I believe the owners would want to know about this incident and talk with their employee. The owners are very much aware of the numerous and fine cleaning establishments in the area, I am just one customer, and I will find another cleaner. read more

My wife and I have been using Dri Cal cleaners ever since we moved to Sierra Madre in 2007. Under the previous owners, they were always friendly and helpful and they do alterations there too, and do an excellent job. With the newer owners, nothing has changed: great service, great alterations, friendly/courteous staff, and wonderful dry cleaning and laundry services. We have checked out other cleaners in the area, and nobody does as good a job as Dri Cal. We have never been disappointed, and if something needs to be redone, they are without a doubt, extremely apologetic and take care of it right away. Keep up the good work. I went into the cleaners yesterday to have a dress hemmed and a pair of jeans fixed. As the seamstress pinned my dress I heard a handful of customers come in and speak with the front lady named Wendy. I was so impressed with the way she handled and responded to each customer with care and patient. I couldn't help but compliment her before leaving. She had an elderly man who did not prefer to pay by credit card. Due to covid that was all the were accepting for payment was credit or debit. Wendy contacted someone on the phone to authorize the transaction and now it was approved to take cash. She was a breath of fresh air to watch interact with all those people and be so kind these days!!! Thank you Wendy for making the world a better place read more

Dri Cal is the best laundry and dry cleaning service I have used. Having moved to the area in 2018 I tried several cleaners before selecting Dri Cal as my preferred laundry provider. Besides excellent laundry and pressing they care for little details such as removing those annoying stapled ID tags that most services leave in place. Further, I was not charged extra for same day service when it was needed. Additionally, the owners continue to invest in new equipment and interior and exterior renovations to benefit their customers...including free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and even ice cream! This was close to work and convenient however I dry cleaned a dress recently and when I got it back there was a lot of piling on the dress that wasn't there before, it's not a dry clean only dress but I decided to spend the extra money to keep it in good condition. It came back worse then when it left considering it was a fairly new dress and I've only worn it once. The other issue I have is the zipper now has issues going up. It seemed to have shrank at least a half or one size. Obviously I can't assume anything but state the facts. But I definitely won't be going back. read more

If I could give Dri Cal ZERO stars, I would. BEWARE OF FRAUD!!!!!! I took two fairly new jackets that had been stained with the smell of perspiration. After picking up the jackets, NO sign of the odor had dissipated. The smell was still there, and there is absolutely NO WAY that they actually dry cleaned the jackets. They just pressed the jackets and made it look like it was clean, but they ABSOLUTELY DID NOT DRY CLEAN IT! The purpose of bringing the jackets here was to rid the smell, but clearly, this did not happen. And guess what happened next? When I called Dri Cal to complain, the owner asked for my name and phone contact whereupon I was told, my information was not in her computer. IT IS OBVIOUS she deleted my information, or claimed that I was never a customer. This is illegal business practices! I would NEVER get my clothing dry cleaned here, because they are frauds! read more

I have a serious legitimate question -- do they really dry clean your clothing? I know this sounds ridiculous and absurd (because, heck, it's a dry cleaning store) but my friend got her dress and tailored coat "dry cleaned" two weeks ago. I was with her when we dropped it off, and they said it would be done at the end of the day. That's pretty fast for a coat and dress, in my opinion. When we picked it up only a few hours later, it looked fine (in the plastic wrap and it looked like it was dry cleaned) -- however when she tried on the dress, I swear it wasn't dry cleaned! It still had this musty smell -- and that's the exact reason WHY she got it dry cleaned in the first place. Seriously, it was so distinct and it was still there. I'm almost 100% it was not really cleaned because of this smell. If it were dry cleaned, the smell would most definitely be gone. It almost felt like it wasn't even tampered or touched. So that makes me question whether or not they actually dry clean their clothes -- as opposed to simply pressing it and putting it in the lovely plastic dry cleaning wrap. This is just horrible --- someone needs to investigate....NOW. read more

Have used several dry cleaners over the past 25 years, including "eco-friendly" shops which would often return my clothes dirtier than when I brought them in - which is why I gave Dri-Cal a try. For the past two years they have done a wonderful job on my weekly dry-cleaning. The clothes are fresh and clean and the service has always been friendly and courteous as well as prompt. As with every dry cleaner, the occasional snag or stain can and will happen - and when it did they immediately alerted me to the issue and offered to either refund the value of the garment or credit my account.
