Dr. Miglani is absolutely fantastic! I arrived earlier than my appointment time and they had no problem and squeezed me in! Didn't have to wait like most places, just filled out a form as it was my first time and off I went to get my check up & exam. The staff was very helpful and nice- and setting up my follow up was a breeze, even though they had to squeeze me in before my vacation. The office was clean and comfortable. Usually a Doctor's office can be cold but it was a warm and friendly feeling. Dr Miglani was extremely meticulous and thorough with answering all my questions and helped me get the right prescription! Dr. Shefali Miglani of Monroe Eye Care is an extraordinarily knowledgeable and skilled optometrist. I am an optician for Kaiser Permanente in California. I recently visited my mother in New Jersey and brought her to see Dr. Miglani while I was there. We accidentally walked into the wrong place and visited her competition at Princeton Eye Group. Thankfully, we didn't have her appointment with them as their office was cold, uninviting and impersonal. When we finally found Dr. Miglani we were greeted by a very sweet and friendly woman named Geeta; a far cry from the reception at Princeton Eye Group. During our visit, my mother had an extremely thorough and in-depth eye exam, courtesy of Dr. Miglani. I felt that my mother could not have been in more capable hands. As an optician, I am very selective about my family's eye care. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of care offered by Dr. Miglani, from the exam to the discussion of my mother's progressive lenses. As the owner of her practice, she also fills the role of optician, and very well I might add. Dr. Miglani knows her stuff! If you are trying to find an office of optometry for you and your family that exceeds your expectations, Monroe Eye Care is the place. I went to the showroom & medical office through a referral and was impressed by the choices of fashionable frames. In my experience, other optometrists do not carry such an exclusive variety. This is the place to go if you're looking for the trendy look that people with a sense of style prefer. Dr. Miglani's eye test was informative; she explained the different exams and steps in evaluating my correct prescription. She did a great job in diagnosing an axis for one of my eyes. I also received a separate prescription for contact lenses and was overall very happy with Dr. Miglani's thoroughness in explaining what everything meant. Her team also spent a lot of time suggesting different frames that fit my face correctly and helped me in reaching a balanced decision between style & value. I think the actual exam is good, but when you are picking out your eye glass frames it becomes a slippery slope. They push expensive frames and lenses. I asked for a slight discount (my frame and lenses were costing me $1300) and the girl did not get back to me. Ridiculous. At least call me bac' and let me know you tried. read more

Both my wife and I are very glad that we went to Dr. Miglani for our eye care needs. She is an excellent doctor. She was able to diagnose issues that other doctors had missed. My wife was suffering from migraines and Dr. Miglani was the one that figured out what was wrong and save us a lot of time and money (not having to go to neurologists and getting MRIs and such). Her staff seems pretty adequate to me as well. The service was prompt and courteous. Getting appointments was easy and quick. They email you for confirmations and such which is great, because I usually hate having to call doctors offices and get the run around from the staff. When my wife got glasses from there, she had some issues with the frames. She would have to go in very often to get them adjusted and the staff was helpful every time. They even to the insurance company to bend their rules and pay for a second pair. Dr. Miglani herself intervened a couple of times to double check things. She was able to diagnose my eye problems during the very first visit as well. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the doctor. read more

This place is a joke. I actually like the doctor, but customer service is terrible, they are both rude and disrespectful. The best thing you can do is either avoid... Or take your prescription and go elsewhere. No matter how much your insurance offers... They will make sure you come out of pocket. Up to a $300 contact fitting... My experience at Monroe Eye Care has been very good so far. My initial exam and follow up exam were thorough, and resulted in a referral to a specialist for above normal inter-occular pressure. I've made an appointment to have this checked out. I felt that Dr. Miglani and staff were courteous and concerned about my well-being. I also purchased a new pair of glasses, as I wanted a spare pair and they were having a 50% off sale on lenses in December. The glasses came out fine, very light weight and comfortable. read more

With my short sightedness becoming a problem over the years, Monroe Eye Care is the only practice I trust for my eyes. Been meaning to write a review for a long time but just never got around to it, so here it goes. Also, dry eyes is also a continuous problem with me for years. Maybe it's due to allergies or dry air in the house. All the dog hair in the house doesn't help with that either. Dr. Miglani recommended some special eye drops that have helped eliminate the dry eyes completely. The third pair of glasses I have from this practice not only look great but they are designer too. Surprising to see such a huge selection of designer eyewear at a family owned practice. Matter of fact, they had more designer selections compared to LensCrafters I was going to before starting to go here. They accepted my insurance and the entire process was quick. Every checkup is thorough but efficiently fast. This time around when I went, saw some new hi-tech machines that helped with the exams. Pretty cool! The parking lot tends to get a little busy as there is also a Stop & Shop next door but after one round of circling you can easily find a spot to park the car. Hours of operation I found quite convenient which can be a big plus for a lot of their patients. Overall, they really treat you like a VIP guest instead of just a patient. I've already recommended this place to my friends and will continue to do so for a while. read more

Monroe Eye care is by far the best eye facility I have been to. Not only is Dr. Miglani an awesome optometrist, the staff is outstanding in making you feel at home and welcome. The exam is thorough and the Dr explains each test performed. The staff as well as the dr help you pick out frames to making sure you are satisfied overall. I travel quite a distance to see these folks and it doesn't matter because I believe I get the best care. read more

After almost five weeks I finally walked out with glasses.The first prescription had to be redone because everything at a distance was blurry.Luckily I had old glasses to use.Never asked If I would like to use old frames,instead paraded new frames at the table.Never going back there again. One of the WORST experiences I have had in more than twenty years of having to get fitted for contact lenses. The staff is nice albeit incompetent and the Doctor is condescending and does not truly pay attention to what the patient says. First appointment she insisted that I did not know the type of lenses I wore, plus the assistant never gave her the prescription I brought thereby resulting in half an hour's worth of trying on contacts that were incorrect. Did not bother to check my coverage before announcing that her fee would be $325 or $350, when I said I never had to pay that much THEN they checked my benefits. FYI my co-pay $60. Called about trial pair, was left on hold for fifteen minutes. Personally stopped in on way home due to not being able to get someone on phone stated then that the lenses weren't working for distance. Also stated that when I called PRIOR to trial pair being in and told them the prescription was incorrect. Went for trial pair "fitting" once again she asked exactly the same questions as in the first appointment and they still hadn't placed my old prescription into the records! She then scolded me in the most condescending way that I should have told them that the first trial pair wasn't working! Really? I informed the staff TWICE ONCE IN PERSON! She is not an efficient or patient-centric person and the staff could use lessons in communication, competent office procedure and record keeping. Only upside after I expressed my frustrations as to the total lack of communication skills she agreed to refund my benefits - But I ask you is this professional? I have now wasted two weeks of my time, plus having to leave work early and no prescription! Go elsewhere read more

Monroe Eye care is my new home for eye care. I just started wearing contacts and glasses about 2 years ago and went to Lenscrafters. I wasn't happy with their service and it was impossible to get an appointment, so i gave Monroe Eye care a shot. From the start, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The office makes you feel like you have been there before and the appointment times were instant with no wait. Dr Miglani was great, and really took the time with multiple tests and fittings to find the most perfect contacts for me, ones that i think were a little clearer vision wise, and softer on my eyes. Being new to contacts, i thought the old rougher pair was just the norm, but Dr Miglani was really able to find the best solution for me. I also purchased a pair of Hugo Boss glasses, and Jess was patient and understanding as i tried on what seemed like 100 pairs of glasses. It was a very relaxed experience with zero sales pitch to push me in a any direction to make a purchase. Monroe Eye Care provided exceptional service, and they will be my eye care center moving forward. Its nice that they are close to my house too. I highly recommend! read more
