Billing : zero stars. My family has been going here to over 5 years and they charged us as new patients and also $60 for something called Refraction. What is that? we were told it was to get a prescription? This is the first time that they charged me for this. No one explains what it is or if you really need it. just give it to you as part of the papers to sign. Come on now really? Bad practices? Fraudulent? I don't know. Maybe Will let the insurance company and NJ Health department decide. Wait time : 1 star. First wait over 30 min. in the waiting room. Then wait again in another area for over 45min to see the doctor. While they let people who were waiting less time then you go before you to see the doctor. Doctor : 4 stars. Explains the situation, does a good exam, friendly, answers questions. The only thing that had me coming here was Dr. Trottini. But now it is time to take my entire family to another Ophthalmologist group.

The Doctor was extremely professional, thorough and pleasant. Took her time and made a recommendation for a minor surgical procedure and suggested another doctor. I really feel that I'm in good hands and will be back for another visit.

Upon arrival, call them from the parking lot and let them know you have arrived. The receptionist will let you know when you can come in. Upon entering, they will take your temperature and ask if you signed in online, already. If not, they will hand you the necessary paperwork and if you need a pen, there are two sets of pens: cleaned and used. The waiting area has seats available for you to sit as you fill out the paperwork (6' apart) but they prefer you to go online www.millenniumeyecare.com OR  you can email them at  sched@millenniumeyecare.com to schedule an appointment. The staff are all masked and there are hand gel sanitizers at the front of the desks. Should your eyes get dilated that day and you forgot your sunglasses or you feel you need additional coverage over your sunglasses, they also give you disposable "sunglasses" as you depart. The ophthalmologist I had was Dr. Elliot Grand. He was wonderful as he listens to your needs regarding vision care. The optometrists and staff there are very courteous. It should be noted, the optical section within their facility is currently closed.

Made annual eye exam appointment in May. Filled out pre-visit online documents which requested…read moreinsurance coverage twice. I noted VSP as my insurance carrier in both areas as requested. I had been a VSP patient at their practice for a number of years. The clerk charged me a $10 co-pay when I arrived. After advancing my payment, I noticed a sign at the check in about VSP patients. When I inquired, the receptionist indicated that the doctor I was scheduled to see did not accept VSP coverage. She indicated that my secondary coverage "may" cover the visit. I pointed out that I was a VSP patient at their practice for years and should not be liable for any fees other than a co-pay for an annual visit. The receptionist indicated that my records did not note the VSP coverage. I informed the receptionist that I would be making other arrangements for an exam and she should credit back my co-pay. Received my credit card bill identifying the original charge but no credit. Spoke to their billing department about the charge/credit. The clerk indicated that the receptionist attempted to credit back the charge but her attempts failed. Never contacted me about the problem just let the charge stand. The clerk indicated that they assumed I would be back for another appointment. Now they tell me it will be another 4 weeks for a credit to show. Obviously their medical records are inaccurate and their billing practice is suspect. Have brought my business to another practice. I trust that I will receive my refund sooner than later...barring anymore bookkeeping failures. Too many other eye doctors around to waste my time with this incompetent staff.
