I asked if I can get an appointment with him as I will be driving 45 minutes each way to get there.. she said no you can't! But he will be there 100% next day I drive there ...guess what he is not there! Not a single person had decency to say sorry or let us try to figure out options.. long story short I took my broken frame and left they did not compensate for the braking frame and they charged me for the eye exam that was covered by insurance!! I still have to deal with that .. 20 hours wasted and 20 days later I have broken frame and no glasses!!!

There's a look of the disdain and frustration on the receptionist face, as if she doesn't want to be there. So I would say a receptionist job is not for her!! The doctor is mediocre at best. She has a script for every patient and barely makes eye contact (no pun intended). You don't feel like you're getting a visit that's customized and tailored for you. It just feels extremely generic. Then after I I'm told to go select my glasses, and the sales associate would be with me shortly. Well I had to ask two or three times for someone to help me. The 'sales' lady never even got up from her chair to actually show me and my son the selection of frames, so I just grabbed the ones that I had from the last time and selected a pair for my son out of sheer frustration and impatience. The kicker to all of this wonderful customer service experience, was that as I'm paying for two sets of glasses after insurance deductions and discounts, I'm also told that my daughter's exam was not covered by insurance since I was two weeks shy of the annual exam from last year. At no point did anyone ever share this with me from the appointment scheduling to the exam itself. So I had to pay $89 out-of-pocket for an exam that I could've just done in two weeks. Utterly ridiculous. I will never be back there again. This place is a joke.

He is friendly, professional, and, most importantly, he takes his job as a medical professional seriously and always looks at the patient systematically. My brother-in-law had a rare corneal disorder that went undiagnosed for decades. He came to Dr. Bak for a routine eye exam and he identified the problem and referred him to a specialist. If it wasn't for Dr.Bak's intervention, he would most likely be blind by now. He is also up to speed on all the newest eye care products and technologies available. When my eyes started reacting badly to extended contact-lens wearing, he recommended a new type of contacts that radically improved my eye comfort. He prescribed eye drops for my mother in law that finally fixed her dry eye problems after her frustration trying 5 other brands with no success! There is a newspaper article hanging on the wall in Dr.Bak's office. Take the time to read it and you will understand just how great of a Doctor he really is. It was downhill from there. Finally she produced paper forms which I began to fill out. Each time I had a question, she became more irascible. I had one last question which I asked of another office person to avoid dealing with the nurse, and this miserable excuse for a public face of a business came over with her own interpretation of my question.
