They were afraid I might try to get contact lenses elsewhere for cheaper price, therefore refused to give me a copy. Again, it is my right to have a copy whether it's expired or not. I completed the online questionnaires in advance, so that the day of my appointment I was brought in immediately and never presented the dreaded clipboard and golf pencil. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Then just pop over to LensCrafters to have your new prescription filled. Glasses ready in just an hour! The doctor and support staff were skilled and personable. Note: the online forms did provide descriptions and pricing of several optional diagnostic tests. There was no pressure to accept or decline these tests.

During COVID-19 I'm willing to adhere to whatever policy a business lays out. I was running a bit behind, but breathed a sigh of relief knowing that I had beat the cutoff when I arrived at 12:06pm. Whew! So, as instructed, I called from the parking lot to announce my arrival so they could come out and take my temperature. By the time I finally connected with the receptionist it was 12:08pm. Instead of taking my temp, I was told that I would have to reschedule since I was late. Then I pointed out the time and that it I was, in fact, only eight minutes late, not 10, as their own policy had laid out guaranteeing cancellation. Then she put me on hold, and came back on a minute later saying that they would be happy to reschedule me for tomorrow. I admitted then and admit here that eight minutes is cutting it close, but by no measure of mathematics does 8 = 10. After some unpleasant back and forth, and me restraining as much as possible from using any expletives, the receptionist finally said it was now 12:12pm and there would be no way they could take me today as I was no longer within the 10 minute cutoff anyway and that I could reschedule for tomorrow. Pretty sure my blood actually boiled. Finally I just said I wouldn't be rescheduling since there is no way they will ever get my business. I have been a patient of Dr. Bak for almost 10 years and I cannot say enough about what a…read morewonderful doctor he is. He is friendly, professional, and, most importantly, he takes his job as a medical professional seriously and always looks at the patient systematically. My brother-in-law had a rare corneal disorder that went undiagnosed for decades. He came to Dr. Bak for a routine eye exam and he identified the problem and referred him to a specialist. If it wasn't for Dr.Bak's intervention, he would most likely be blind by now. He is also up to speed on all the newest eye care products and technologies available. When my eyes started reacting badly to extended contact-lens wearing, he recommended a new type of contacts that radically improved my eye comfort. He prescribed eye drops for my mother in law that finally fixed her dry eye problems after her frustration trying 5 other brands with no success! There is a newspaper article hanging on the wall in Dr.Bak's office. Take the time to read it and you will understand just how great of a Doctor he really is. It's the story of how through a simple eye exam he diagnosed a brain tumor that many doctors had missed and probably saved the life of the patient involved. Hands down the best OD in the Princeton area.
