Also when I asked for a copy of my contact lenses prescription, they refused to give it to me. They were afraid I might try to get contact lenses elsewhere for cheaper price, therefore refused to give me a copy. Again, it is my right to have a copy whether it's expired or not. It was Dr Michael Wong who we had the pleasure to watch performing laser correction eye surgery that day. Dr. Wong explained every step of the procedure as if he were a professor teaching a room full of future Dr's. We watched at least 5 surgeries that day, the expression and joy of his patients faces was overwhelming. They did not offer any treatment or follow up help to alleviate these symptoms. She is unable to go to work now and sits in a dark room with sunglasses on at all times as she has severe photophobia as well and is unable to do many of her daily tasks due them straining her eyes and triggering migraines and severe eye pain. I'm incredibly disappointed with how this situation was handled.

I went to the Freehold office on June 5, 2026. Big mistake! First of all, the front desk didn't use…read moremy VSP insurance plan, saying they needed my medical insurance card. Presuming this was in case they found something wrong that had to be treated medically, I handed it over. Another mistake! Of course Medicare doesn't pay for eye exams (for glasses), and neither does my supplement plan. I paid the $15.00 co-pay. They billed Medicare and my supplement policy anyway. I got a bill from Millennium in the mail that showed an insurance adjustment so I went on line to look more closely. The balance due shown on the paper bill was not the same as the on-line bill. Plus they charged me $60 for refraction which I told the technician "no" when she asked me if I wanted it and I did not get it. By the time I got out of the eye exam it was almost closing time so I was rushed through the eyeglass selection. I'd already selected frames before the exam so it was a matter of getting options selected and paperwork done before closing. The total due was $1106.00 ! "That seems awfully high!" I exclaimed. Her reply was "Oh, discount." Reduced total came to $968 which was still high but she put my credit card through so there was no turning back at that point. They closed after that so I waited until Monday morning to call them. No one picked up so I left a voice message to call me back, which no one ever did. After calling several different phone numbers and never getting hold of anyone, I went back there the following Tuesday and spoke my peace about the entire experience, which was totally horrible! The eyeglass manager we nice enough to hear me out and agreed that the VSP plan had not been applied to the eyeglass purchase. He agreed to give process a refund for the overcharge. That is supposed to show up today. I still have to deal with the eye exam billing. What a terrible business experience! Stay far, far away from this place!

First, I was shocked at the attitude of the woman that makes the appointments. She definitely has an edge. It must be the whole office. My husband came home and said Dr.Lipka has the worst bedside manner he has ever come across. He went back one more time, giving cranky old Dr. Lipka the benefit of the doubt. Well, that was enough for him, he came home and said he would never go back. Ironically, I was at the hospital recently visiting a sick friend. I overheard some someone talking in the hallway about how much she hated her eye doctor. I walked over and asked what that doctors name was. She said Dr.Lipka! I rest my case. This guy may be a good doctor, but the arrogant factor is a MAJOR FACTOR. He acts like he is doing you a favor by seeking you.
