Really cool intimate tasting experience in Tin City. This spot specializes in white blends and actually only makes white wines, quite a difference from the heavier reds traditional in Paso tasting rooms. We were lucky enough to be able to taste on a whim, but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation as seating is extremely limited and the experience is very one on one. We happened to walk in while a tasting was happening, and they had space for two at their next seating 45 minutes later, so we hung around Tin City until it was time... We definitely got lucky and I would not expect this to be the norm. Our tasting was our host, Elliot, and 6 of us tasters total. We sat at a long table all together, and went through the wines one at a time as a group. Elliot was a great host that had a lot of knowledge and passion for wine. The way he spoke about wine was approachable, yet he still got into the complexities of the grapes and the wine making process. A very cool experience for those that really want to learn about the wine they're drinking. We ended up coming home with 2 bottles and one of the groups with us joined the club, so it's safe to say we all had a great time!

Paso is mainly known for red wines, but as a white wine lover, I just had to come to Monochrome! It's a cute little shop that has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and all the wines are very different, so you're in for a surprise with every sip! My boyfriend and I did tastings here, and although not all of the wines were really up to our personal tastes, there were a few that really were so unique and so delicious that we had to get a bottle! The owner is very knowledgeable and is open to talking about his life and changing careers! We loved talking to him and just learning so much more about his experience in winemaking! Be sure to stop by if you enjoy white wines and want a more comfortable and welcoming wine tasting!

The tasting was only started after all the appointments scheduled for that time had arrive and not everyone was on time..... Being by the street it was hard to hear everything being said to all the groups especially when cars drove past. From what I understood the winemaker experiments with several different factors when producing his wine and then blends them together. I definitely found the experience as unique as the wines.

Tin City is really amazing. So much surrounding this place. The inside felt very much like being at home but with a school vibe to do the lockers where they store there wine in. Isabelle took care of us and she was absolutely amazing. Always willing to recommend options for us. She was beyond friendly. Despite being close to closing time she didn't rush us in anyway. She even shared some food with my 3.5 year old as she was needing a little something. We ended up sharing ghost stories for a bit with her so that was really fun. What I liked is that she actually sat down with us and talked about the wine. Like I said I felt at home. The whites were very good. Unique varietials were offered. My friend who liked the whites was very pleased. The reds were also solid. I ended up with a bottle of franc for home and I joined the wine club. Isabelle was a huge reason we joined the club. If your tasting on the weekend ask for her she is awesome. Can't wait to go back for some more fun at this winery. Also a very high value winery as the bottles were very fair. Check it out.

The kind of wines that make you pause mid-sip and go, "okay, this is something special." Smooth, balanced, and seriously well-crafted. Honestly, it didn't take much convincing after that. They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like family, even though it was only our second tasting room visit ever. Bret, the winemaker, is a great guy. We instantly connected over his ties to Eagle, Idaho (where my parents live), which made the experience even more special. Huge shoutout to Lexi as well. She was an awesome host on both visits and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Bret's wines were outstanding across the board. We especially loved the 2024 El Paso de Robles White, the 2021 Fasten Your Seatbelt Syrah (absolutely incredible), and the 2022 Willow Creek District red blend. Thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully made. The space is clean, modern, and vibrant, and their creative marketing really stands out across social, their website, merch, and overall brand presence. We enjoyed it so much that we joined the wine club on the spot and are excited to have Levo in our regular rotation as we move from SLO to Atascadero. Highly recommend! Fantastic wine, great people, and a 10/10 experience.

We are the type of members who always take great care of the staff and rarely leave without purchasing extra bottles, yet today we were treated like an inconvenience. Despite being told in the past that spontaneous visits were no problem for members, we were turned away on a gloomy Monday with plenty of open tables. The host at the entrance was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even let us finish our sentence before cutting us off. We were told our only options were to come back in an hour, a "limited" tasting, drive all the way downtown, or just pick up our shipment and leave. We asked for the Wine Club Manager to resolve the situation, but she wasn't on-site. To be offered a "partial" tasting as a favor after nearly ten years of support was the final straw. It feels as though they now prioritize "closing" new members over honoring the people who have supported them for years. They've gone mainstream and lost the personal touch that made them special.
