Finally got the chance to try Monkey Dog Coffee!! I regularly travel to Fresno and pass by this coffee shop and I was stoked to finally try it. When I travel I like going to local places and although I'm usually getting my coffee another place local, I really wanted to try Monkey Dog. + the staff were welcoming , friendly and answered questions and made recommendations based on what I was craving. It's an easy to locate coffee shop with lots of parking and indoor seating to enjoy a nice cup and breakfast or pastries. It's brightly lit, and there's a couple couches and tabletops. The food menu had a decent selection of breakfast sandwiches and sweets and also included keto bread as an alternative. They have monthly specialities (you can peep on the instagram). While it's relatively close to the airport, there's no drive thru here. One other thing about the insta- it looks like they have pop-ups here with local vendors for crafts and clothing, etc- I really love that and enjoy supporting businesses that support local businesses! Definitely recommend trying this place esp during the pop-ups if you can. I know I will return when I'm in the area. read more

The inside of this place is very plain and very clean. The seating and tables are on the random side. I have been here a few times now and have only had one thing. The Brass Monkey. Being a big fan of the Beasties, that name popped out at me. It's espresso with Creme de Banana, caramel, vanilla, and cinnamon. I order mine "as sugar-free as possible," and only the Creme de Banana does not have a sugar-free version. With all of that in the cup, the espresso is still the dominant flavor. It does make a great drink that I'll likely order again. read more

I stopped by before I went shopping next door at winco. They were empty and just opened about 30mins prior. It was my first time here and had to look over the menu. It's a typical coffee menu with espresso drinks, teas, and regular coffees. I ordered a hot latte called "The Anner" which had caramel and cinnamon. It was a good balance of coffee and sweet. They asked for my name when I paid and I thought it was a nice touch when I picked up my drink they told me to have a good day by my name. The big chain coffee shops don't do that anymore. read more

I never knew this place existed till I had a dash here! I always drive by the area and it's inside the plaza so it's definitely a hidden gem! The reviews is what brought me back to this place and I can see why people are raving about Monkey Dog! The drinks we got were the popular ones and I can see why. For me, I really like them because the sweetness is just right. Because it tastes just right, I want to come back and try the rest of their drinks and their signatures specialties. Perfect timing too because for the month of January, Mon-Fri, they're doing 25% off non-seasonal drinks in store only and we found out once we pulled up! They also have some snacks and food to offer, some games so it's definitely such a comfort and vibe to be here. I plan on returning with a friend to enjoy the atmosphere more. read more

Amazing, amazing, amazing!! I love this small coffee business so much. I went with my friends once & immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. I have had both coffee and their energy infused drinks and love both. I had the banana bread coffee and it was absolutely delicious. The service is so wonderful and the baristas are so kind. They do not mind helping you create your drink & making it extra sweet. I wish more people went to this place as it is truly amazing. If you need a new coffee spot, come here!!! read more

Getting breakfast for tomorrow! The worker was very kind and welcoming. Easy to talk to. I ordered 2 large coffees with nonfat milk and sweet and lo, ham and triple cheddar stuffed croissant and 2 of the cocoa pastries. Paid for the order. Very nice, laid back place with great music playing. Also, great wall decor! As he got the order ready, the worker said they had a huge rush this morning and were out of nonfat milk. No problem. Just requested almond milk instead. Shortly later the croissant was pulled out and looked delicious for tomorrow. Made fresh! Great! The worker also wished a good day before leaving. Appreciated! Happy Sunday everyone! I got breakfast ready per usual for mother and I! Croissant split in half and we both get our own coffees and cocoa pastry. The coffee was delicious! My cocoa pastry was Fantastic! Even had chocolate sauce in the in the middle. My half of the ham and cheese croissant was scrumptious! Yummy! Mother said hers was great! Service is always good as well, the cashiers are always friendly Most of the time I like to sit inside the coffee shops but personally for me, I don't really like sitting inside here. Nothing is exactly wrong with it, but it isn't a very "coffee shop" sort of vibe. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!! I absolutely love this coffee shop so dearly. It quickly became my favorite. Not only is their coffee exceptional but so is all of their staff! For a first timer, you can never go wrong with the White Chocolate or the Caramel Brûlée and for food the grilled cheese is to die for! The coffee and food I ordered was fine, but the workers here clearly don't care about customer safety. When I arrived, there was a homeless man sitting outside. He started harassing me, trying to ask me about my marital status and "proposing" to me, going on and on about how beautiful I am. I just tried to be nice (because you never know when someone can turn violent based off of a rejection) and went inside and ordered my coffee/food. As I'm waiting for my order the homeless man follows me inside and starts trying to continue a conversation with me. At this point I am very uncomfortable and a little scared, and I'm desperately looking to the employees for help and trying not to upset the man in case he does something crazy. None of the employees would make eye contact, and the ones who did look bored/unbothered. None made any attempt to ask this guy to leave or leave me alone. Luckily I don't live far and my husband was able to get there quickly to come tell the guy to leave me alone and walk me to my car so we could go home safely. We won't be coming again. read more

This was a fun little spot. We didn't wait long to order. The selection was great and the guy who took our order, friendly. It did take a while for our order to come out (we ordered 4 coffees) but they had a couch and coffee table with a selection games (and I think if you're in a hurry, you can order ahead). We played the game "sorry" while we waited... which was fun (they had chess and other games as well). The wait was worth it because we all loved our coffees. I drive by this coffee shop every day and have always wanted to stop, but would be to busy. Today was finally the day that I made time to stop and I am sure glad I did! I let them know it was my first time and also explained what I typically like at Starbucks. They recommended an iced vanilla latte with caramel and it tasted great! I love MonkeyDog Coffee! I know they opened recently, but I wasn't able to try it out until around finals week when I needed a place to study, and MonkeyDog is great for that! Their coffee is super good (so far I've had the Mokalito & the Almond Honey Latte) and my partner had the Cherry Vanilla Energy soda (which I totally recommend). Their food items are also super good! The service is great and the folks on staff are super nice. I also love the unique atmosphere of the shop that no other local Fresno coffee shops have.
