Can't believe that it's been 7 years since we first visited this coffee shop on the way out of King's Canyon! We vowed to return and stay in the cottages and have breakfast at the coffee shop every morning because it was that good. Happy to report it's just as good as we remember and waking up to the smell of their freshly brewed coffee is a bonus. What an incredible hidden gem--tucked away seemingly in the middle of nowhere, just before the north entrance to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks! We discovered this place through Google Maps while searching for the nearest café to the park, and we were genuinely impressed by how amazing it turned out to be. We ordered lattes and a spicy jalapeño cheddar bagel with cream cheese, which was baked to perfection--fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. My mom, who always requests her lattes extra hot (and is usually disappointed no matter where we go), was thrilled this time. Her latte was actually served piping hot, and I've never seen her so pleased with the temperature--she couldn't stop talking about it! The café offers plenty of seating, with cozy fire heaters indoors and some outdoor spots as well, making it a welcoming and relaxing stop. We enjoyed our visit so much that we returned the very next day and ordered the exact same thing, even though the menu was full of other tempting options. One feature we appreciated was the ability to pre-order online, which was convenient. However, it would've been even better if we could choose a specific pickup time. Since we were coming from about 30 mins away and arrived later than expected, we asked if they could reheat our coffee--and they kindly did without hesitation. Came in to have coffee and breakfast a few weeks ago. My vanilla latte was great! I had an everything bagel with avocado which was super tasty. They let me sit around and work on my computer for quite awhile. Really kind and friendly folks here. Another way overdue review! I've been doing some much-needed photo and video purging on my phone and came across pictures from our visit here in August of last year. I'm not sure how long this establishment has been here, but it was the 2nd or 3rd time driving past it on our way up to Kings Canyon. I've been camping there with family and friends since 2008. But back to the topic. In August of 2023, we finally stopped in. First on our way up the mountain and then again at the end of our camping trip. The iced coffee really hit the spot on a nice sunny day, especially after packing up camp. The two girls at the front were very friendly and helpful in offering recommendations. I went for the Honey orange blossom latte and the rest of the group opted for white chocolate mochas and caramel frappes. We all enjoyed our drinks. The place itself was clean, charming and modest. I want to say there was a more cozy area near the back with some board games. There's a restroom right outside of the coffeehouse, small but clean. I would definitely stop by again after a few days of roughing it out at camp. read more

I would not recommend this place, especially for minorities. I have personally experienced racism here, and have family and friends who have as well. Not only did employees give hostile looks that made us uncomfortable, but they also allow other customers to make inappropriate, racial comments. I felt unsafe and intimidated, and will never return. I love this little coffee spot. Perfect little get away from the valley and perfect coffee pickup from the mountain community! Seating inside and out, beautiful views, dog friendly outside, and even little games inside. A little rushed with ordering but fast service when waiting. Lots of seating. Mainly parking on the side of the road although they have parking it's small. And last to mention they have little "cabins" to rent out behind for anyone looking to stay a night. Frequent this cute coffee shop often on our way up to Kings canyon & upon walking in the lady screams from across the room "WE DONT ALLOW DOGS." Very unfortunate bc I was only holding my small dog so I can take a look at the menu and pastries, place an order and then wait outside. So glad we stopped by this charming coffee shop. This hidden gem is one of the few bizs not too far from Kings Canyon. We stopped on our way to Sequoia National Park because the main roads were closed. It was a pretty popular spot! I'm thinking this was because it was the only coffee shop in the area. I will warn you that if you are in a rush, you might want to pass. We came on a Friday morning and there were only two people working there. Our order took 25 minutes to come out. My partner ordered a latte and I got their matcha latte with strawberry foam special. When it finally came, it was a tasty treat. It's a very lovely and beautiful space within the mountains. And good is what it is, I wouldn't say great coffee, it isn't the best I've had but it's not horrible! And the fresh bakery items are delicious!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I've had better coffees, but I still recommend stopping here. The staff was super kind and timely, other reviews I've seen say that it was slow and they seemed overwhelmed, but we definitely disagree with that. This is my local coffee shop but I have 2 complaints 1) you guys really need to stay open till four on Saturday and Sunday and double the staff especially in the mornings when you guys are slammed !your staff is awesome they run around like crazy trying to get stuff done but you need to add a couple more people 2) VEGAN items! My wife and I stumbled upon this place while staying in the yokutz valley visiting the kings canyon and sequoia NPS. We tried this on our last day and after 6 days on the road without a decent cup of coffee this place seriously saved us haha coming from the LA/OC area we are kind of coffee snobs I will admit and diner coffee is okay but we were craving the good stuff and this place delivered! I got the iced Milky Way and my wife got the iced vanilla oat latte both were great! We also had the meat lover quiche which was packed with meat and powered us through the morning and afternoon of hiking the sequoias. I also got the cowboy cookie but didn't eat it until The next day and I honestly can't spot thinking about it. Love this place! The shop is also nicely decorated, simple clean and rustic. Genuinely the cutest little coffee shop near Dunlap!! It was the perfect place to stop before heading out to the parks. It may not be ideal if you're in a rush since it is so popular, but I definitely recommend making time to go. Get the scones!! Clingans cabins and coffee junction, which is cutely named simply coffee on the outside is the cutest quaint little coffee shop about 30 mins from kings canyon. They have a ton of flavors including lavender and rose which I absolutely adore. The woman at the front who took our order was very nice and helpful when it came to order different drinks that were not specifically on the menu. Sooooo. Good. If you are going to the north end of Sequoia National Park to see General Grant Tree, there is a great new food stop on the way. I worked in a good coffee shop... these scones are way better. So light and made there daily. I had an amazing bagel as I stared at the redwoods. I was working at Dunlap Elementary for the day and a colleague brought our group here for lunch. It was a light lunch without a ton of options but everyone was happy with what they got. I had the turkey sandwich on an everything bagel and it was perfect! I accidentally ordered the plain cold brew instead of flavored and the staff was nice enough to add flavoring when I asked. The interior is very cute and well decorated and they play worship music if that's your thing. They have outdoor seating with great views of the hills and clear skies.
