First time visiting this place. Food was good, but what stood out the most was the customer service. We went in on a Sunday (kick off to be exact) and my team was about to play. We were seated in front of the TV and the Raider game was on. As it was coming to an end, (not sure if he was the manager or owner) a man asked if we were okay (checking on us), I said yes, and as he was walking away, I had asked if he could change the channel and put the Niner game on. He looked up, sarcastically saying "I'd rather not....." I apologized and asked if he was a Raider fan. He shook his head no, then I asked if he was a Seahawks fan, he shook his head no, then I realized awe S#@t! "You're a Rams fan!" He smirked and nodded yes. Came here for lunch today with my mom and my two kids. It's a fairly small place; not fancy, but that's ok! We were greeted and sat pretty quickly, and were quickly brought some glasses of water, but it did take a while for someone to take our order. Then it took quite a long time to finally get our food. However, the food was very good and the waitress was very nice; the entire staff seemed friendly. Even though it took a while to get our food, we were not in a rush and left satisfied. My kids got the Mickey pancake and the cheese quesadilla with french fries, and they both really liked their food. The grilled chicken breast sandwich and sweet potato fries I ate were excellent. If I were regularly in the area, it's a place I would stop and visit from time to time. read more

Amazing! I've been coming here ever since I was younger. They have a great variety of food, and I've had their burgers, spaghetti, and fish. I've also had their clam chowder, which was really good! The location is nice and inside tends to be fairly quiet and always clean. The staff are also always friendly and welcoming. If you haven't, try their desserts as well! I stopped in here after a morning of shopping in historic downtown Reedley. The day was bright, beautiful and sunny and Mainstreet is taking full advantage of our California weather as they have outdoor seating. Now Feb '22, they are back to indoor dining. Everything is well done, fresh homemade American style. Be sure to ask about the soup of the day. Today was vegetable beef. Yum. A delightful cup chock full of potatoes, tomato base, green beans and beef. Delish. I ordered the German sausage meal with fried Verenike. It is awesome. Little puffy noodle pillows stuffed with seasoned hoop cheese, first boiled, and you can also then have them fried to slightly crispy texture. Then they are slathered with a white sauce. So yummy. You can also order a la carte. Don't miss the homemade pie and cakes. Always the cafe has what's in season such as a berry pie in addition to other baked good. My wife works in Reedley and I was in the area for my job. We decided to have a lunch date at Mainstreet Cafe. This place reminds me of a postcard small town restaurant. The staff were kind and the food was fresh. As you can see in my pictures, the club sandwich was more than enough. I took have of it home in a to-go box. The fries are delicious and taste homemade. I also ordered a side of potato salad. Bring from the south originally, it's my thing. It was good but had a little too much relish in it for my liking. We sat outside and our waitress opened an umbrella for us to be shielded from the sun. We'd totally eat here again! Side note: we were going to eat inside, but they had a ceiling fan beside a light fixture. This created a strobe light effect and that triggers migraines for me. I'd suggest they fix that. But moving outside was easy and we would still come back! read more

Parking is so-so, slots that are perpendicular to the sidewalk so there are several but many were filled up. But it's a small town so not much of a walk if you have to park around the corner or down the street. No parking meters here, another plus about small towns. read more

I ordered breakfast to be picked up this morning. The waffle we ordered was burnt! Yes, burnt! This should have been thrown in the trash!!! The chef thought it was alright to give burnt food to a customer!?! So disgusting and disappointing. We tried to eat it but it tasted burnt and bad. No good chef serves burnt food! I ordered online so I am not sure how to get a refund. I surely regret giving a 20% tip! We hadn't eaten there in a while, and it will be a long time before we do again. read more

I was born and raised in this little sleepy farming community just east of Fresno. Played little league baseball at Washington school and graduated proudly as a Pirate. I came this morning with a child hood friend. His suggestion, not mine as I moved away years ago. 3 words..Oh My Gawd !! They've adapted to outdoor dining and have posted COVID-19 rules and guidelines with instructions on where and how to do things . Pretty neat I thought. Til this mess is over we have to be careful . We were greeted quickly and given a seat. Nice to sit there and look down main street and remember my childhood. The menu is simple and not really fancy but more comfort food then anything. A huge meal for a good price I thought. I judge a cafe by their breakfast and most importantly, their chicken fried steak. Winner, winner chicken fried dinner ( breakfast ? ). It was served hot and not only was there TWO patties, they were above average size AND I got gravy on the top and the bottom. Didn't get a second look when I asked for it. A mound of scrambled eggs and a healthy portion of hash browns covered the rest of my plate !! It was great, service was waaaay above par and just the whole atmosphere was nostalgic. Awesome experience !! You didn't get that 5th star because the parking is just ridiculous !! As we were leaving this dark haired lady with glasses pops out and says " oh I can have MY parking spot. I was late today " Lady, whoever you are, I saw no sign that said reserved for short rude females. Ya really have to work on your people skills. It makes an otherwise amazing staff look bad. Pretty much the perfect downtown local cafe. If you don't know what you want to eat I recommend this restaurant because it has one of the most comprehensive menus I've seen and you can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime you like. Whenever I'm working in Reedley this tends to be my go to spot for lunch. I went with the Cobb Salad and it's as good, if not better, than any I've had. The ingredients were fresh and flavor was so good that I didn't need to actually use the side of ranch that they provided me with. As always...the service was fast and friendly.
