I came here for lunch with my family, as they are from Caruther's and wanted to eat here. This place has Mexican food and donuts. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and then they bring you the food. I ordered a veggie burrito, it had rice, beans, cilantro, cabbage, tomato. They have two size options for burritos, medium and large. I ordered medium, it was just right. I also ordered a side of crinkle fries. My sister really liked her torta, she said it was really good. My veggie burrito was good, just a little bit dry. I think maybe the beans were a bit dry. I think if you eat meat, the meat options are a better choice. My family really liked their meat dishes. read more

Whatever is on the menu is SOLID if informal. Doughnuts are large and chewy, Tacos are bomb and a fave in our Home, Bierrocks. Long time local family owned business. We have their offerings at least once a week. Yesterday we had Bierrocks, today we had Carne Asada Tacos. I don't know if I can finish the day (1 1/2 hours to go ) they are soooo generously portioned. If you want small town food with big town flavors, Danny's is the venue. This Mexican food paired with sweet treats it's definitely a place to try. Being placed in Caruthers it's small area packs a large punch feeding the people of Caruthers. It's Mexican food range is wide but the donuts are something to try. It opens up early so make sure to turn on your alarms and make your way to Danny's. When we crave for donut, this is the place to go to. The best old fashioned buttermilk donut. Fluffly and dense. We drive 25 minutes just to get this yummy donuts. Btw, Mexican food are delicious. What a find! Playing baseball in the outskirts of Raisin City we went to our 'helper' YELP. We were not disappointed at all. Clean facility, nice staff and the food...DELICIOUS!! Don't be fooled by the name! They have great Mexican food and a sit down area in the back. They also have fantastic carnitas, and that goes along way for me. I got the combo burrito- filled with a ton of meat, beans and rice. It was awesome. Also the hot sauce was to die for! So my co worker got a combo plate, and it looked awesome. He said it was the bomb, and he is usually on point with that. It's kinda weird though, you order up front, then either hand the little take out window your receipt, or they will bring your food to you if you sit down. My only gripe is the FLYS! I hate them so much. Nothing makes me not wanna eat at a place more than flys attacking my face while I wait in line to order. There was like 6 or 7 very aggressive flys all over the place. On me. On my coworker. Just landing over and over. Good thing they didn't follow me to the back where I ate. I would have Gone ballistic. And how the hell are flys even still alive? It's freezing cold outside and haven't seen a fly in like a month any place else. Maybe these ones just ride out the winter in this place? Are they pets? Wow. A friend brought us here for lunch today. I got a burger and it was sooo huge and good. They make the un and butter it. It's so good! Then the meat taste so fresh. Also got some asad fries... they were okay. The fried taste like frozen fries. But still okay. But the menudo blew my mind. It was good! Most places doesn't taste fresh or authentic but man man man. Rolled in at 7:26 and was told I could only order to go bcuz the restaurant closes at 8; I was annoyed but accepted the response and ordered a chili Verde dinner plate. "Danny's is probably your safest bet." That's what a local told me. He probably has a weak stomach, because him and food trucks don't get along. But I did happen to notice the line of people at Danny's while driving by, so I was already interested. The fact is, Danny's Donuts should probably change their name, because they also do burgers, breakfast, and Mexican. Probably more Mexican than anything else. I really didn't know what to get. They have taco and enchilada plates that come with drinks, but burritos and nachos are some of my favorites. I went with the nachos, thinking of some of the other places I've gotten them and how good they were. Boy was I in for a surprise. I don't even think I can call them nachos. It was more of a nacho salad. First impressions were literally, "what in the world?" But I'm game, I dug right in. I just couldn't enjoy them. You get pico de gallo, sour cream and some red sauce on the side. The salad was already a hassle to eat without a fork, so I just stuck with the sour cream. I imagine the pico would have fallen off the lettuce before it hit my mouth. I didn't know what to make of the red sauce, so I skipped it too. I was a disappointing meal, to say the least. I have been going to Danny's Donuts for most of my life! It has gone do hill so much. Our food was not good at all today we had cool food, we spent $50 and they wanted to charge for more salsa for our food. My son got the Asda fries and there was only a hand full of fries and very little meat. The hamburger meat was much smaller than the bun and the bun was dry. This place has gone sooo downhill it's tough to put into words. Clearly they are riding on the coat tails of the original owner and the reputation that this place has had in the past. Granted, they hold perhaps the top spot for a good donut etc. but the service is deplorable: they only have double chocolate donuts on Sat. so I traveled 25 mins very early one Sat only to wait outside until they opened late, then afterwards being told that I would have to wait over an hour, maybe 2, to get one. I love finding random food spots. I saw this place in yelp on my way back to Fresno. It's a 5 min detour off the 41. Definitely worth the stop. I ordered the burger and it was delicious. The ingredients were nice and fresh and the bun was absolutely amazing. I ordered a single with bacon. It was very filling. LOVE the food! Ordered Party Trays for my daughters birthday they looked as great as they tasted. Not to mention the Chile Verde casserole was AMAZING! Love that they cater.
