Ok- I change my mind... this place is great! We've done take-out a few times and it's been okay, but just average. Today we dined in and the whole experience was great. We added the "family" deal with salad and a pitcher of soda. But we couldn't decide on a soda flavor, so they just let us each choose our own cup for the same price. 5/5 My wife doesn't like cheese on her salad, so we got it on the side. But cheese with crackers- now that's something we can get behind. 5/5 I think the "average" experiences in the past was because we kept trying the thin crust. Meh. But the pan pizza, Amazing! The crust is thick, but perfectly fluffy. 5/5 We tried the chicken wings for the first time. Crispy skin, tender and juicy meat. 5/5. Then topped it off with the cookie/ice cream desert. It was good. 4/5. The help was a little slow. 3/5. After seated no one came to greet us for almost 10 minutes. But the food came fast. 5/5. read more

This place can accommodate a big crowd, with its service and space. We ordered salad, meatballs and pizza. The pizza was very good, as were the meatballs. We even tried the gluten free pizza, and was impressed by how good it tasted. The salad was abundant and fresh, with great dressing options. read more

Love Monicals, especially the Paxton location. Food is always pretty good along with the service. I worked at a different location for years so I will always support Monicals Pizza and the Famous French Dressing! read more

Decided to get two 8" personal pizzas and a side order of Mac and cheese. I was expecting the Mac and cheese to be more home made. Opened the container to find Kraft mac and cheese. I paid $4.99 for a container of Mac and cheese that I could've gotten from Walmart for 99¢. The staff also did not communicate well and our pizza was done 10 minutes before the Mac & cheese was because nobody started cooking it when they started the pizzas read more

We expect what we get. I cannot get over the prices. It's no longer my favorite place for pizza. We found ourselves going back and forth to the counter for service, like refills etc. read more

A am they don't serve frozen drinks I had to give 1 star but didn't want to do that! They need to expand their minds some people like to drink frozen drinks read more

Very good cracker thin crispy pizza! Nice family atmosphere! Wish they had this in the Chicagoland area!

I went with my family ( 2 girls 1 and 4) and an extra toddler (also 1) so you can imagine how enthused I was lol. Well, the guy who greeted us must of understood my expression because he let us use the banquet room. We had a big screen tv and unlimited fountain drinks. The service was very friendly and quite fast. We had a complicated order due to kids and they didn't miss a beat. They were also patient with them running around. I slipped the guy a well deserved tip :) We received a large bowl of salad while waiting for the pizza. I was actually more surprised at how good the salad was than the pizza. The pizza was average I thought. Nothing special. I would say this could be a nice family occasion or the start of a "guys night out" for they serve beer as well. read more

We had a large family group meet here for dinner and the staff handled everything very well. They had large table set up (I phoned ahead), kept everyone's drinks full and the pizzas were tasty & arrived fast. The salad meal deal worked out great - definitely recommend for groups read more

Efficient, Friendly, and Delicious My partner and I came here for a late lunch on our way downstate from Chicago. The décor was busy but homey. However, the food was delicious. The server/cashier was friendly and efficient. She had our appetizer out within 2 minutes of sitting down and kept the food coming. The breadsticks were fluffy, the wings were freshly fried and crisp, and the thin crust BBQ chicken pizza was sweet with a satisfying crunch. Looking forward to stopping here again on our way back! read more

The food was great as always, but service was very lack luster. We make the journey to Illinois once a year to see family and Monical's is always on our list of Paxton Restaurants to eat at. We had to wait until after our salad and breadsticks were served, and our pizzas and wings showed up to have someone bring our drinks. We received two small dressing cups for a family sized salad, Did not receive any drink refills, and no one once checked on our table during our meal. We have lost count of how many times we have been there and had stellar service, but this time stood out with the exact opposite of the great service that Monical's is used to. I understand we are in a different time and age, but that does not excuse poor service. read more

Love this pizza. It is a very good thin crust pizza at minimal cost. It is also delivery that is a plus.

Monical's Pizza is an incredible place to eat. It is better to eat in than carry out or have it delivered. The menu has a wide variety of items each as good as the next. That being said, food to go I have found is not of the same quality. If you are there in restaurant and order extra cheese, you get extra cheese. However, if you do the same to eat at home, it's like they forgot. This is more so on pizza than sandwiches. You should always ask what delivery time is prior to ordering because it is often at least an hour. A Family Pleaser and breadsticks hovers at $40. If you are low income, it is a rarity to eat here because of price. The dine in experience with family is wonderful though even if the food is pricey. read more

One of the best pizza place. Anyone can make pizza but these guys are pro! Definitely a try!

Of all the Monical's Pizza locations in the area, the one is hands down the worst. Service was absolutely terrible, the do-it-yourself drink machine is just pure laziness. With us pouring our own drinks and there being only one other group in the restaurant when we went, there is no excuse for how little we saw our server. Had to go to the counter and have another worker print off our check when we were ready to go. Will be avoiding this location at all costs when in the area, would rather drive the extra miles to go to the Rantoul location! read more

I've only been here once and it was a stop on my way to Chicago. Our pizza took maybe 10 minutes and everyone there was super polite and awesome. If I'm ever in Paxton, I'll come back! read more

I love my girl monical's she the real thing I love her she amazing she tasty she's better than all the other pizza places and she has the best French dressing I ever tasted in my life good pizza, just quit reading the comment and go there btw I'm truthful hit me up read more

Chicago has its deep-dish, I prefer thin crust. Maybe I am partial. I grew up on this pizza. It originally started in Tolono, IL. There are restaurants in Paxton, Rantoul, and some other places in that area. Enough of the geography lesson then. The salad is minimal by other restaurant standards. But the salad dressing......oh boy. Theres ranch and french...I suggest the french. Sweet but not to much. Effen special in my book. Now the pizza. I would wrestle with a wolverine over the pepperoni and cheese. It is simply orgasmic. It comes out around 10 minutes after the salad, and when it does, I focus only on the perfection that is laid before me. Good-bye salad, hello thin crust. If I was on death row, this would be it for me. Let me stop for now, go find out for yourself. You won't be disappointed. read more

Always a good experience no matter if we dine in, carry out, or have delivery! I love that online ordering is an option now! Every time I come home to visit I have to get my Monical's fix. Family pleaser is the way to go! read more

I'm a thin crust pizza kind of girl. This place is my go to for my favorite pizza. Their veggie pizza is wonderful. They also have a very nice salad. Please make sure you try the French salad dressing while you are there. Most of my family puts it on the salad and their pizza. read more

I don't like their pizza, they seem to skimp on the ingredients. It is VERY expensive for a pizza chain usually running over $30 for a family of 4. However, their french dressing is wonderful and can be purchased alone, from little bottle up to 1 gallon jar. Monical's in Rantoul is more expensive for the salad dressing - almost twice the price. read more
