This was our first time visiting Overpass Pizza and we were so surprised! It's in an unassuming little building - off the beaten path. When we arrived we were seated right away but it was buzzing with locals and pick ups (good sign, right?!) We really enjoyed looking at all of the local memorabilia on the walls and our service was EXCELLENT! The woman that served our table was very friendly, upbeat, and knew exactly how to take care of her guests. Our food came out very quickly and we enjoyed all of it. We had the 12" thin crust pepperoni pizza and some garlic bread. Next time we'd like to try either the deep dish or some of the house special pizzas. I was pretty shocked to see that our total was over $45 for the 12" pizza, bread, and two drinks with tip. But really everything else made it worth it. And we got a slice of the most delicious almond cake on the way out for free - score! read more

7/5 stars...yes, it's that good!! Dad was visiting in Lafayette, and wanted to try something new. Found this gem, listed as one of the best pizza places in Indiana, and I was NOT let down. Pros - Service- Our two waitresses who were working and helping all the tables were amazing! Friendly, joking, amazing. - Food- I order a personal meat (thin crust), app of breadsticks, and my Dad got the pepperoni pizza sandwich. All were amazing! Hot, fresh, tons of toppings, and very affordable. - Atmosphere- The atmosphere was great. Fun and had a few funny signs (see below). My first time eating here, it was a good experience. We got 14" half sausage, half sausage & pepperoni thin crust pizza. We also got breadsticks and pan sauce and garlic sauce. Me and hubby enjoyed it. I personally am not a fan of thin crust or Chicago style pizza. So next time I think I'll order one of the subs/sandwiches. We also got there 40 minutes before close, ordered after getting our drinks, got our order pretty quickly and ate and still left 3 minutes before close. The server and staff was pretty nice, they didn't have an attitude about us getting there kinda late, so we appreciated it. read more

Amazing pizza and service. Everyone that comes through the door is treated like a friend. This place is a local gem.

Let's start with the food. I have been eating pizza my whole life. I have wanted to come here for years. I regret not. This is the best pizza I have had in a long time. The bread sticks were delicious. The pizza sauce was fresh. The dough was fresh. The cheese was real. They have fresh ground red pepper. I have been wanting that for years. While the pizza is great, I am in love with their sandwiches. The Stromboli and the Quigley are the best. Rates as one of the best pizzerias in the state. Really awesome bbq chicken pizza, especially if you add on their homemade blue cheese dressing (the bbq sauce is homemade too). There are two options for crust style - thin crust or Chicago pan. We went for the thin crust based on all the rave reviews and even though we don't normally like that style, I have to say it was really good! This was one of my favorite places growing up. Being from a small town, there weren't many places to pick from but this was always my first choice. The outside looks rough, but on the inside it is cozy and feels like home. Whenever we come back to visit, we try and make a stop here. Their salad is great, and I love their ranch & french dressings here. I'm partial to thin crust pizza, so that is what I would pick, but their deep dish pizza is good too. By FAR the BEST pizza in the area. Overpass has excelled where Monical's has made missteps. I love Monical's, but since the corporate nerd pencil pushers made Monical's REDUCE the amount of ingredients (less cheese, cheaper sausage, etc.), Overpass has taken the lead by pursuing the better, independent, old fashioned approach with lower prices and MORE ingredients. This place is great! I am giving it four stars based on two not so great experiences. First off...again, this place is great. The pizza, wings, breadsticks and salad are all great. It is reasonably priced and worth it. It is a little place so seating can be a little crowded, but oh well. Now, for the two not so great experiences. 1. We drive to and from KY on a regular basis and try to time it so we can stop here on our way home. We knew we would be running late so we called ahead with our order. Told them what we wanted and how far out we were. We told them we would like our pizza ready when we got there, because it was going to be cutting it close. When we arrived, the pizza wasn't even in the oven yet. Not super happy about that. 2. We drove an hour to eat here for my sister's birthday. When you google the restaurant, the hours show up. We planned on meeting at 1 IL time because according to google, the place would be open. After our hour drive and my sisters 45 minute drive, we showed up to a closed restaurant. We ended up having Monicals instead. Definitely not the same! Make sure you call for hours before driving there. Overall it is a great place!! read more
