Food is closest i found to my hometown pizza place. The huge pizza is well worth the cost and is so good you will want an extra one just for snacks later and the next day. The staff is nice and make you feel great. Best pizza place that I have found so far in Danville. read more

Their garlic pizza and Italian beef sandwich are a must. Whenever I'm visiting family in the area, I always stop here.

Great food good people run it. Make sure you take time to order a lot of the time they are busy so don't be surprised if there is a wait

Love there food but sometimes I order their Italian beef and it's has been reheated to many times and the meat is mushy if you catch it on the right day it is delicious read more

Really good crust and friendly staff, pizza has great flavor. Only suggestion is to sharpen your pizza cutter. :) I always have to cut the pizza when I get home. Other than that, one of my favs. read more

The pizza is phenomenal.. chili fries are great and they always have dessert. the service is pretty fast.10/10 I would recommend..

I am a traveler and do not live around the area. I happened to be in Danville around lunchtime and was hungry so I figured I would support a local business as opposed to going to some chain off the highway. Backdoor pulled up in a Yelp search. Now, of course a place called Backdoor hopefully will be a hidden gem and not taste like other things that come out of the Backdoor. I ordered a pizza with mushrooms and green olives. Unfortunately, they made a pizza with pepperoni and green olives. Mistakes happen but at least I was starving and looked at the pizza in my car so I caught the mistake and came back in to ask about it. They were apologetic and made me a new pizza but, of course, this added time to my experience. I got my pizza with mushrooms and green olives and it's always disappointing when an establishment uses canned mushrooms. It's really a pet peeve of mine. It's not a huge expense comparatively to get fresh mushrooms and tastes so much better. So it's an expensive pizza ultimately for what you get. I hate to say it but I felt I would have been better suited to just go to a chain pizza restaurant for a cheaper priced pizza that at least would not have used canned mushrooms. Perhaps it's a better experience for meat eaters or for other options there on the menu but, personally as a vegetarian, I was disappointed. read more

Great veggie pizza! My personal favorite. Fast service 0pen for lunch Carryout and delivery read more

The service is warm & friendly, it's like your talking with your Auntie or cousin. It's a traditional hole in the wall joint that feels warm inside & inviting. The food is beyond amazing. is great but my go to is the Italian beef!!!! OH MY....sooooo good. read more

Delicious pizza with great service. Italian beef is also great. If you're ever in Danville, Backdoor Pizza is well worth a visit.

Always great food. Fast service and very courteous staff. We love their pizza and sandwiches. Try their deserts also.

In town for a few weeks for work and was driving to a gas station as I passed this establishment. The outside was enough to catch my eye. Went in with some friends and we got the Carnivore and bbq chicken pizza. It was AMAZING! Very tasty pizzas. Good sauce, not overwhelming. If you are looking for a non-generic pizza place, come here. The owner was present and was super nice. Other customers were here and very welcoming. Very much recommend! read more

Place has really good food I just had my first experience only thing is I was wanting the chilly cheese fri

The last pizza I got here was pretty bad. No sauce. It doesn't last in the box at all so eat it in the car.

We jumped off the highway and headed to Backdoor pizza because we saw it on the food network map. You enter through the back door. Hence the name. The delivery/take out area is consistently busy and the people working that area are friendly and welcoming. We asked to dine in and were taken down a hallway to a small area of tables. It felt homey and clean. There was also a small room where there were video slots gambling for the 21 and over group. Upon sitting you are given a warm basket of homemade tortilla chips. Fresh crisp and delicious! With it comes a homemade salsa that will warm your insides. Just spicy enough- and so addicting! The soda assortment was impressive, Pepsi Cokes beers etc. sold in cans individually with cups of ice if you like. The pizza was tasty. I liked the sauce (I'm hard to please in the sauce department) and the toppings were generous. Based on previous reviews we also got the Italian beef. So so good!! Tender beef, gooey cheese, soft bread and a big ol peppercini served on the side with a little bag of chips. Gotta say, it's a small town mom and pop shop and it's 100% worth your drive! Great service was the icing on the cake! Kudos to Backdoor! read more

I would highly recommend this restaurant. This is defiantly a great pick on lunch Friday's at work or any other day we want to order out. For delivery you just have a minimum $25 purchases. The ham and cheese sandwich is wonderful. Italian beef is amazing, chicken salad is delicious. Definitely should try the pizza. read more

Best pizza in town!! In my opinion!!!!! Only pizza I get! They are pleasant and if they mistakenly incorrectly do your order wrong they will correct it! Other foods on the menu are GREAT AS WELL CLOSEST TO CHICAGO PIZZA IM GONNA GET! And truly is in the back ! A hidden gem! read more

We decided to try back door pizza because of prior good ratings on Yelp. We were able to call the business and arrange for pick up and the person working there was kind enough to wait until after closing for us to arrive !! True to their name, there was a sign on the front door to use the back door so we parked and went in the back door. The pizza was still in the oven hot and the breadsticks were good. There were some walnut brownies on the counter and they were offered to us for free so we we took one and enjoyed it on our car ride home. The crust on the large pizza was excellent, it was crispy and was not greasy at all. There was lots of cheese topping on the pepperoni pizza and the flavor was good. There was a little grease on the top of the pizza but everyone felt that was pretty typical for pizza. I did not look into the sitdown area of the restaurant so I can't give any feedback on that. This is a nice family restaurant. read more

Excellent pizza! I was in Danville for work and was craving pizza so I gave this place a try. I ordered a well done, thin crust, pepperoni and green pepper pizza. The crust was cracker thin and crispy just the way I like it. The sauce was good, but there wasn't enough, next time I will order with extra sauce. The staff was super friendly too! I definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

Nice people, great pizza. The "huge" pizza is a super-large pie. They don't cheat you on the toppings. They also have several other menu items including fish, hamburgers, cheesy bread. The stromboli is good also. read more

Good pizza and sandwiches for all occasions from a friendly team. The family does a good job in spite of being in an odd location. They are worth the drive off the main drag which ull of franchise food. It is a home town group in a town that is chock full of average chains and fast food franchses. read more

We decided to eat here instead of getting it to go, we ate in the restaurant. We were the only customers and the waitress, when given our order did not write it down. Where do I begin? We ordered an appetizer of chili cheese fries. After waiting 30 minutes, the waitress brought out cheese fries. We said we had ordered chili cheese fries and she argues and swore it was cheese fries. We waited another 15 minutes and my individual pizza was brought out. It was super burnt and tasted awful. My companion had ordered a hot dog and another can of Coke. The waitress forgot the hot dog, so he waited while I ate my burnt pizza. After I had finished we had to go up to the counter to get the check. We told them to cancel the hot dog as they were wrapping it up to go....a long with the can of Coke that was ordered. We paid and left. We won't be back. It was an awful experience with awful food and service. Never again. read more

I just love the pizza from this place, the most i like about this place is I always ask then to divide the pizza into two different toppings. If you haven't yet try them read more

Very skimpy on the toppings. All they would have to do is put an average amount of toppings and it would be a great pizza. Felt like I was getting a cheese pizza with toppings that got accidentally put on. read more

Friendly staff, clean place. Awesome pizza! But better itiallian beef! Yum! Good value for your money! Love this place!

When I get back to Danville, Backdoor is always on my list to visit. It is strictly carry-out or delivery. I know from past experience that their pizza is delicious, but I generally get their Italian Beef sandwiches. I've never had an Italian Beef outside of home that I like better. They make them the best! read more

The pizza here is really good, it is a carry out place but still amazing. I like this pizza a lot more than I do Monical's pizza. Plus the cheesy bread is amazing! read more

I really like back door pizza. I call em up and order the pizza I want. They tell me when it will be ready. "It's usually 20 minutes". I get there and go in and it's always hot and ready. It's stays hot in the thick box and soon as it hits the table, we dig in. It's good stuff. read more

I complain if there's something to complain about, believe me! But the food here is GREAT! What else needs to be said? Order from here, pick it up, take it home. Prepare to be very pleased! read more

This was the most tasteless pizza we have ever had. On previous occasions the pizza was average. This time, it was a large amount of cheese on a wet crust. Never again. read more
